The stunning sequel the bestselling novel, Anaya's Pride, Book One...
When the king's grisly past is uncovered, Anaya and her harem will stop at nothing to expose the truth...but as dark secrets come to light and their passions bloom brighter, can they stop the forces of evil working against them?
*This book is a full-length novel with gobs of smexy times, an HEA and no cliff-hanger
Chloe Cole is the New York Times bestselling author of steamy paranormal romance novels and one half of the happiest couple in the world. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys and their two dogs, Gimli and Pug. When she isn't acting as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She hates bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate. She also loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to poke his eyes out with sharp sticks. If she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate. Or, like, a ninja maybe. Oooh, or a Gryffendor!
I jumped into this book with tentative hope, I enjoyed the first book but I need to step up it's character development and world building to get more stars out of me. We did get a bit more of both of these things (although not as much as I would have liked) however, this book took a bad turn and decided to throw in a much over use trope, this just about killed this book for me. Although we did get a HEA and it is nicely wrapped up duology, it didn't live up to my expectations and my search for good RH series continues.
3.5 * again Finally we get to see some depth between Anaya and her men. An actual kind of chemistry. I did love the world. I loved the story but I just wanted more guts from this series. It was wonderfully written and I enjoyed all the characters.
However, just like the last book: everything was too easy. Everything basically landed in Anaya's lap and all too convenient for my likes. The author could of definately spread this out into a 3 book series as I felt it was rushed just to finish the story. The final battle was over quick and EASY. MFC doesn't find any resistance against her from taking the crown even though the only evidence she had was destroyed.

Wow this is a thrilling conclusion to a great story. Anaya and her men face even more challenges and more danger in the second book in Anayas story. With twists and turns you do not see coming, danger and romance.
All four men are so different but in a way that compliments Anaya and the chemistry between them is gorgeous. These two books were different to what I expected on a good way ans I found them to be a great read and would highly recommend
Not only was Anaya surprised to be chosen, it seems there is something going on in the harem and we aren't talking in the bedroom. More than one of the girls has gone missing or has been found dead. When the brothers learn, no longer is it only a matter of letting Anaya go, they can't risk her life. One choice. Run!
While they hoped, with little conviction, the King would just let her go, the loss of his tutors made the move even riskier. You'll be amazed at the disguise and transformation of Anaya. The emotions they feel during the journey are touching, steamy, risque, teasing, and a test of loyalty. They try to learn what the king plans.
They learn of an unbelievable plot afoot. Can they find out what it is? Who it started it? Is there any support for them or is everyone they meet a danger? What of their feelings for Anaya and hers for them? Is there any chance they can have a life together?
So many questions and good news, you will get the answers to them all. Another winning story from the author. I recommend this to all shifter, romance, and just good book fans.
You have to read part 1 first, this is not a stand alone story. Anaya and the St John brothers are on the run. The rumors surrounding the King, and the great sickness, terrifying. The true reason the King wants Anaya comes out. She has the St John brothers on her side. They are her lovers, best friends and wise councilors. They believe in her, and give unwavering support. She has her sister, Iris. She has the support of the people, those wronged by the King, those who lost mothers, wives and daughters. She will challenge the false King for the throne. Anaya learns how strong she is, and how much the St John brother's love her. Great story. Love the ending, which is open for more stories. Looking forward to Iris's story. Loved book 1 and couldn't wait to find out what happened to Anaya and her men and WOW what a conclusion! Anaya and her men are on the run from the king. They need to find out what's going and get the truth out so she can be safe.
Anaya has found love x4 and WOW when they finally let their feelings and passion take hold the author blows it away! She also find out how strong she really is and makes sure they know it. With this add danger, twists and surprises that come up and what a story! I loved this story, so much going on that I didn't expect I couldn't put it down. Once again the author gives her readers an amazing book! Can't wait to see if there will be more, maybe her sister will get her own story? A must read! I received a copy under no obligation.
When the king's grisly past is uncovered, Anaya and her harem will stop at nothing to expose the truth...but as dark secrets come to light and their passions bloom brighter, can they stop the forces of evil working against them? I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and this is it. I have to say that this book was way way much better than the other... (have i mentioned i hate cliffhangers?) Well guess what book has finally the completion of the story yey!!!! I love love love Anaya and the Saint John brothers!!!! This is the end of the story for Anaya and i have to say that its a great start for a promising series.
I liked book two a bit more than book one, and my like of the characters grew. However, the ending was rushed and the plot in general was kind of weak. The main character was a bit eh, and everything felt too easy for her, which irked me. I did like the concept that the two books had of Ironhaven and shifters, but there wasn't very much world building. I think that Cole tried to change up the story from just a forbidden romance thing to a long lost princess thing, which was executed poorly and made me mad. I normally like that kind of twist, but it was very clumsily done here, with an easy ending for the main character.
This is the very entertaining and enjoyable conclusion to this two book series. Book one should be read first for complete understanding of the characters and storyline. The complex storyline continues from where it was left off at the end of book one and takes us for a exciting ride as Anaya and the St. John brothers work to uncover the mystery that surrounds them. With plenty of steam, suspense, danger, action, adventure and romance, this is a very satisfying read. I'm posting a totally honest, voluntary review after reading this book.
It’s a very fast paced book, I wouldn’t say rushed but I’ve never had a book this short have so many important things take place in it. The spice was great too!
There’s a prophecy they had to find out, that lead to big revelations, seemingly within hours they had a mob of supporters. Then the big show down with the king, then queen. Everything seems to go by to perfectly. Obviously this will not be the end of the story but I think I’m okay leaving things here.
Their relationship is very genuine and organic I think they would rule their kingdom with love.
After the first book of the series was so good, I was rather disappointed with the second book. While the story was entrancing, the character development seemed to be forgotten, and the love stories lacked the same depth they did in the first book. It felt much like the author stopped trying to ensure you connected to the characters and focused on pushing her story to the end as quickly as she could. I am interested in Iris's story only to see if the author can redeem her storytelling skills.
Good book. Felt a little rushed. like it coudce easily turned into a longer series with maybe better development. The end also felt way too easy, like the king got defeated so easily.
Also how can a whole kingdom just accept her as the queen so easily?? Like brooo she's a country girl that came out of nowhere. How's no-one else challenging her for the thrown or som.?? Imma go read Iris's story now
Tata.peace.

This is the second book in the series and must be read in order. The characters are well written and developed. The story was good with plot twist and turns. The only thing I didn't like was the rush to end it all. I would recommend this book because it was bad, I just didn't like how everything ended.

I did enjoy these two books. Book 3 is apparently not a continuation of this story, but a spin off of it. I don't think I enjoyed the world enough to jump into another story in the world.
This book was pretty good. It still held its plot well enough that it kept my interest. And of course the steamy parts of the book were just as entertaining, but not too overwhelming. So overall I enjoyed this book.
