Brittany works for her uncle Alex's construction company along with Alex's fiancee and Nathan. After a drunken conversation at Alex and Jessa's engagement party, Nathan is pursuing Brittany more than ever. The catch is, Brittany remembers nothing she said. Through the story we learn more about each Nathan and Brittany and there budding relationship and the secrets Nathan is keeping.
I am giving Fight 4 stars.
I really enjoyed the plot line and the pivotal moments in Fight. It took a little bit to get down to business, but it was worth the wait. I like a book with character drama and I definitely got that.
I adored Kayson and the way the author wrote his character. One of the things that kept me from giving Fight 5 stars was that Jessa and Brittany often referred to each other as "B-tch." It's a personal hangup of mine. Swearing is perfectly OK by me, however, it was just a bit overwhelming in this book.
I do realize that the author is newer to writing and I am so happy that she decided to embark on this journey. If I were to make a reader suggestion that would have helped take me to 5 stars, it would be smoother transitions from scene to scene. Some scenes may have had more than enough description while some just seemed to be missing some detail.
I am excited to read Julie's story and am looking forward to watching the author's progression and wish her the best of luck!

This is the first book I have read by JL and it certainly will not be the last. Although this is the second book in a series, which I did not know until I read this story and is totally fine, trust me cause each book is a standalone and while you see the other characters you are not lost at all. It only makes you want to go back and read the story of Alex and Jessa.
Brittany is a spit-fire and has no filter. Love her! She is stubborn to a T, until she sees a light bulb finally go off. Maybe she should have listed to Jessa and not taken so long to see the light. Haha Can I just say that I love how Nathan’s son says her name, too cute!!
Nathan wowzer, is a hottie and boy does he have a lot to fight for! This title is geared towards quite a few things and you will see he will stop at nothing to win them ALL. I love how he annoys the crap out of Brittany to get a rise out of her. He reminds me of my hubby in that aspect and I totally want to throat punch him daily, but love him. LOL Nathan has a side to him that is well hidden as well. When the secret is revealed to Brittany will she be able to handle it or will it be too much for her? There is another turning point in this story where you don’t know if you want to cry or gasp with something that happens. Be still your heart! Ex or not it is still crazy. Bet you wonder what I am talking about don’t ya? Well my lips are sealed and although there is a ton I could speak about that would lead to spoilers so my review will be a bland one so that you can get an idea of what you are headed for when reading this story. Simple, it hooks you from the beginning, you will laugh, cry, fan yourself possibly at certain scenes and you will see fighting for love is so worth it in the end. The chemistry between these two are hot and it has the right does of drama, suspense and passion to keep you turning the pages.
I look forward to reading more from JL and am glad I had the opportunity to read this book. This is definitely one book to purchase and one I would love to buy and have signed by an author. That cover is HOT just like the story!

This story was a wild ride for Brittany and Nathan!
There are so many things going on here that encompass the title, that I feel it was well thought out. Brittany and Nathan are literally fighting every step of their relationship, so the title I feel works well for this book! I think my favorite though is Kayson! The secondary characters seem just as interesting and after reading fight I learned they too have a book.
This is a standalone so you don't need to read book one to understand what is going on. I bet book one is just as much of a whirlwind as book two! Sounds like it would be worth it to go back and read Jessa and Alex's story as well!
I love a heroine that can stand on her own and Brittany can definitely do that. She needs no man...yet chooses to let Nathan in...barely. Nathan is an alpha male that I think many women will enjoy!

This is the first book I have read of J.L. Davis. I was unsure of what to expect but was recommended to read it. I'm so happy that I had the chance to read this book and will read more by this author.
The book Fight has more than one meaning to the title. To begin with, the title Fight refers to Nathan fighting for Brittany to give him a chance to be with her. Brittany works for her Uncle Alex and Nathan. Nathan has a strong attraction to Brittany but Brittany finds him annoying. After being at Alex and Jessa's engagement party and being drunk, Brittany has discovered her feelings for Nathan. She finally gives Nathan a chance and falls in love. Once giving Nathan a chance, Brittany discovers that Nathan is hiding something from her. When Nathan shows Brittany what his secret is, it is not what she expects but will learn to accept it. With the secret revealed, Nathan and Brittany end up dealing with more tribulations which bring them closer together.
A very well written story that will keep you engaged throughout the whole book. Definitely recommend this book to everyone.

This is a great follow up to JL Davis' debut novel Last. We get to read about the relationship between Brittany & Nathan, who were first introduced to us in the first book.
I really liked Brittany. She is a very strong woman who knows how to take care of herself. I liked that she had a bit of a mouth on her, you never had to worry what she was thinking or feeling because she is quite happy to tell everyone!!
Nathan is just one gorgeous man. He may come across as all cocky and not having a care in the world, but he is exactly the opposite of that. he cares very much for the most important people in his life.
This is a fast paced story, that has great characters and a storyline that keeps the reader hooked.
I highly recommend reading this book.

WOW WOW WOW! The author has written a great storyline with characters that you can’t help but all in love with.
Nathan is a Smokin’ Hot single dad with and adorable 2 year old son and Brittany is the independent, sexy and sassy gal Nate works with as well as has the hots for. But these two, while attracted to one another, seem to just rub each other the wrong way or could it be that Brittany is just be playing hard to get? One fact she knows however is that Nate’s means and stories don’t add up.
Brittany knows Nate’s hiding something, but what? When tragedy strikes will these two finally band together to make it through? It’s always amazing what people will do to “fight” for those they love. 2 Thumbs Up for a very wonderfully written book that I highly recommend reading. You won't regret it!

Nathan is a strong and sexy man, who can be cocky at times. He has a secret. Will Brittany learn about Nathan's secret, and how will she react? Can these two find love and a happily ever after? I enjoyed the banter between Brittany and Nathan and their chemistry. Fight has interesting characters, romance, sizzling scenes, some twists and turns, and a well developed storyline. I volunteered for this arc. This is my unbiased review.

JL Davis is a new-to-me author and I was happy to discover Fight. It's a quicker read, but long enough to give plenty of detail and development.
Brittany and Nathan work together and neither was looking for a relationship, until one alcohol fueled night. Now, they can't seem to escape their attraction, even if Brittany is having a hard time remembering all the details.
Both are strong characters...Brittany is confident and independent. Nathan is also, though a bit guarded with the secret he's keeping.
There's drama, laughter and a few tears in this story. The details were a bit overwhelming at times, but the storyline was good..there were a few things I wasn't expecting, which is a plus. I enjoyed the peripheral characters and hope to see more of them in future books. For me, this book was a solid 4 stars.

I love reading books from J.l.There is such an intense emotion with every storyline. Fight is about so much more than you would think. Nathan is a single dad working at the construction company with Brittany. These two have known each other for a while but Brittany would never give him a chance because he gets on her nerves. But one day she puts aside her feelings and gets to know Nathan. Something changes for both of them. Than something tragic happens and Brittany does something she didn't expect that she would do. I absolutely loved this storyline. These two characters are amazing together.There is definitely something strong between them. J.L. Wrote this with emotions and moments that definitely grab you and have you paying attention. I was gripped from the beginning to the end. Another great book.

I really love J.L Davis books! After reading the previous book, Last, I knew Brittany and Nathan would have to have their story heard. This book rocked it! The game of cat and mouse is finally over! Brittany has to take baby steps because she hardly trusts Nathan to not break her heart. Little did I realize that it would be Nathan's past that would rock this relationship. Brittany's attitude is real and amusing. She knows that she can fall easily for Nathan, but the question of the day, will she?
This book has more sexy steamy scenes. You will get lost in the pages and barely blink. Then when you are at the end, you are left wanting more. The anticipation of the story will build. I love finding a great book to get lost into and Fight will do it for you and much more!

Once again author, J.L. Davis crushes it with this book. Fight was a book that reacquainted us with the characters of Brittany and Nathan. Brittany is the cousin to Alex from the book Last. She introduced Alex to his now fiancée, Jessa. Nathan works with Brittany for Alex's company. Brittany has always been annoyed with Nathan but at Alex and Jessa's engagement party she begins to see the real Nathan. Her opinion of him begins to change. Nathan has always been attracted to Brittany. The relationship that develops is so heart warming and hot. The book was so well written and I loved how the author developed the characters. Everything that happens in this book is so true to life. I loved this book and cannot wait for J.L.'s next book. This is a must read and I would rate it 5 stars.

I've been anxiously awaiting the release of Fight after reading this author's debut novel, Last. Brittany really spoke to me and her character was one I wanted more of. Thankfully JL Davis delivered and I got exactly what I wanted.
Brittany isn't looking for love or a relationship in the slightest. She's independent and capable of managing everything herself, including her heart. Or so she thinks. After Nathan starts working at her office, all hell breaks loose.
This novel is a very fun and entertaining experience! Nathan and Brittany had me laughing one moment before stamping my foot in the next second. This author provided a great combination of emotional elements for everyone to enjoy. If you love contemporary romance with plenty of heat, snag this steamy story up!

Cute Story. Brittney and Nathan both work for Brittney's uncle, Alex. Nathan has been trying to get Brittney's attention for awhile, but Brittney refuses to admit to her feelings. Once she finally gives in things heat up. Brittney is also introduced to his son, whom she falls in love with from the start. But with all of this, there is still something Nathan is hiding from her, the reason for some bruises and more money then just his salary.
I enjoyed the story, but in the beginning I had a hard time getting into the book. The writing just wasn't brining me in at first. By the end of the beginning of the book the writing picked up and I started to really enjoy the book.

First of all I loved Brittany and Nathan together. These two have to fight hard for their relationship, very fitting for the title. The chemistry between the two is hot, and their scenes are fun to read. You are rooting for these two and wanting to slap them the next. Makes for great reading, emotional developments with give and take on both sides. The secondary characters are just as entertaining as the leading. You don’t have to read Ladt before Fight, but with characters making appearances, it helps. Overall, this is a great, fun read with lots of depth and will leave you needing more from this author.

I adore this book and the characters , Nathan is so sweet and caring towards Brittany , and they fall hard and fast for each other after he eventually wore her down to liking him lol , Brittany has no filter and it's funny as hell sometimes she doesn't care what she says she's completely honest .
This has all the right amount of drama , sexy , fun , and emotional parts to keep you turning pages I couldn't put it down , this is a Must read for sure .

Fight by JL Davis is the follow up to Last but can be read as a standalone. While I enjoyed the story line of Brittney and Nathan's more than Jessa and Alex...things progressed a little too quickly for me between these two. I also thought that the plot had a good foundation with Nathan's ex and his secret job but it fell a little short. There was one part of the story with Nathan's son that I felt was unnecessary and overkill...there was already enough "action" for the reader and it was very unrealistic.

I loved Brittany in the previous book so I was happy that she was getting her own story! She's so sassy and such a spit fire. It was so funny every time Nathan would push her buttons! I loved Nathan, he was sexy and cocky but also sweet. Brittany and Nathan had amazing chemistry and hot sexy scenes! They were great together, I loved the banter! I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. This is Nathan and Brittany's story and is a sort of enemies to lovers scenario. This book is quite fast paced but in no way lacking in detail. It is full of secrets and twists and turns at every corner. Nathan is one strong guy but is not shy in showing emotion. Brittany and her friend Jessa at times will have you laughing at the things these two say. A great romance that will have you captivated.

When she finally seems to let Nathan in and give him a chance, sparks fly, but Nathan is holding something back that could destroy them before they get past a first date. Well written characters who will have you pulling for them. This book has romance, heat, and suspense and is well worth picking it up and giving it a read!

Great book
I just finished reading Fight and I thought it was phenomenal! I thought her first book was great but this one was even better if that's possible! The story was very relatable and the chapters flowed seamlessly . I also loved the characters and how she tied both books together. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great romance....

Brittany is independent and not looking for a relationship or love. Nathan is working with Brittany, and has her rethinking her love theory. This is a well written story with engaging characters, and is humorous, fun, entertaining, and a steamy read. I was totally enthralled throughout, and look forward to reading more from this talented author.

This book took me a little bit to get into it. I like it. It had great characters and a good story.
This couple gets a lot thrown their way that they have to over come and its a nice journey.
I thought this book was a 4 star until I got those bonus scenes at the end. this story needed them and gave me what ive been searching for in this book. Good call on adding them.

this book was a amazing! it was a first book of yours i read and i loved it! there was alot of action and intense scenes in this book. its two people who work with each other he wants her, but is keeping a secret that could destroy what they have . read to find out what happens.

What a perfect follow-up to the first book. What a wild ride this was for Brittany and Nathan! Some many emotions all wrapped in one on this one. I laughed, i cried.... I enjoyed every bit! Highly recommend!

Nathan is hot hot hot!!! Brittany is lucky. They are relationship goals!! Kayson was the cutest!!! J.L. did amazing with this book! Just when you think everything is resolved then she throws a twist at you that leaves your head spinning!

Beautiful and heartbreaking story with a great sense of humor. Sometimes in intense moments a great sense of humor is exactly what you need.
