Fun Love Series #3

Breaking Rules

Rate this book
He's going to break all her rules...

I'm Dahlia Rossi, dating coach extraordinaire. I know how to land you the man of your dreams. Follow my rules, you'll meet the love of your life and have a gorgeous destination wedding in French Polynesia. Okay, that last one happened just the one time. But my rules work every time. I guarantee it.

1. The man makes the first move. Seems unfair? Life's unfair.
2. Never have sex on the first date. No, not even oral. And hands above the table, please.
3. Play hard to get, but don't make it too hard.

Solid rules, right? I thought they were. But then I met Jack Carraway, an impossibly sexy, frustratingly unpredictable billionaire, and broke them all. Everywhere. In an elevator. On a balcony. Beneath a gazebo, of all places.

Whether I like it or not (spoiler alert: I like it!), Jack is taking me on wild adventure and we're writing a whole new set of rules. Like, always reserve your matching Harry Potter costumes a week in advance; wrestling swans is not as easy as it looks; and sometimes, the man of your dreams pops up in the most unlikely of places and has a really big...boat.

After years of watching couples find love, it may be my turn. But is this spontaneous playboy the real thing, or just a fun detour around my predictable life? All this time I've been following my own rules and going to sleep alone, with nothing but my second slice of princess cake to keep me company.

But the more time I spend with Jack, the more I learn that rules...they're meant to be broken.

I really liked this one it was light, funny and a whole lot of fun.

Was it eye roll inducing at times? Sure

Did I care? Not at all

The humour was spontaneous and sarcastic, you know the type that is really silly but you just can't help but laugh?

Dehlia is a dating coach, she helps people snag that special one they have their eye on. She has a set of dating 'rules' she lives and swears by. Those rules get tossed out the window when she goes to help a client at a charity event and meets Jack Carraway, the over confident and very cocky billionaire.

"Confident? That's polite. I'd say I was downright cocky, with a smidgen of asshole. Just to keep things fresh, of course."

I must have looked stupid while reading this and laughing my ass off. From the sarcastic inner dialogue to events like clients taking monkey's on dates.

 photo laughing_zpsuxnxbvan.gif

Chelsea is Dehlia's best friend and is a vegan hippie that takes 'readings' from a stove. To say she crazy is an understatement.

"No need to apologies. The stove tells me that this was an area of much coital rejoicing last night. The stove never lies."

Jack Carraway is a nerd turned yummy billionaire who is just as funny and out there as Dehlia. For me I thought he was the perfect character for this book, while he was good looking and had a hot bod it was his personality that made him attractive to me. Some of the things he did were funny and sweet, like when he set his nieces house up like Hogwarts for her birthday. Never mind he'd just polished off a bottle of scotch with his brother, I thought is was a really cool thing to do. He maybe should have asked first hehe, cops don't care if you're trying to be nice.

If you are looking for something light and like a good laugh, I highly recommend this one.

Review at Of Pens and Pages.

Another laugh-out-loud romance from Poppy Dunne! Expect exotic animals, swan fights, adorable children, private jet rides, Harry Potter cosplay, a hilarious dating coach, a cocky billionaire, broken rules, and romantic and sexy nights with Dating the Billionaire.

Dating expert Dahlia Rossi has rules she swears by, and it’s never failed her clients so far. Her rules keep it safe, and there’s nothing about tech billionaire Jack Carraway you can call safe. In a blink of an eye, Dahlia’s already broken her fool-proof rules with Jack, and she’ll continue to break more as she spends more time with him.

This book was full of witty banter, absurd situations, and lots of steamy moments between Dahlia and Jack. There are interesting side characters who are as absurd and funny as Dahlia. We have an heiress who brings monkeys on expensive charity events/dates, a best friend who is too wonderfully unique to even describe, and a brother going through a rough divorce (a character I want to read more of, to be honest. I want his happy ending too!)

There were some brow-raising dating rules in Dahlia’s list, but I can understand where she was coming from. I could easily see Dahlia’s ADHD in the way she told her half of the story, and I really appreciated reading an accurate (or at least accurate for me) depiction of what goes inside the mind of someone with ADHD.

If you’re looking for a quick, fun romantic comedy with hilarious, likable characters and amazing chemistry, check out Dating the Billionaire by Poppy Dunne.

Verdict: Meh... it passed the time.

description

Honestly, I didn't care for either one of the MCs. Both were beyond annoying to me.
Dahlia with her 10,000 rules of dating which she couldn't seem to follow when she was in the presence of Jack. This constant internal struggle between following her rules and going with the flow drove her crazy... in turn, driving me crazy.

description

And Jack, with his absolute arrogance and overinflated ego... good grief. Look, I love me a cocky asshole. Throw in the mix that he's a drop-dead gorgeous billionaire... well, I'm usually hooked. But, with Jack, I just wanted to give him the hook... a nice right hook.

description

So, what made this story work? The writing. It was sarcastic and fantastically witty and I enjoyed the humor in this book. For an easy, short, quick read to pass the time... this'll work.

Poppy Dunne is a new-to-me author and it took me exactly THREE PAGES to become an #instafan! I read this book in almost one sitting because her writing just flows. It's smart, funny (I am talking 'throw your head back laugh out loud kind of funny'), full of witty dialogue, feels and great supporting cast. And, of course, Dahlia and Jack stole my heart! This is what I would describe as a 'perfect rom-com'. If you are in the mood for something charming, funny, well written and super entertaining, give this a go. I promise you won't regret it.

Cheers!

So how's that saying go.....'Those that can't do, teach.'

Well, that saying seems very appropriate for this book, but with a quirky and hilarious twist!

Dating the Billionaire is full of charm, wit, sarcasm, and it overflows with the feels! I not only doubled over with laughter, but also found my heart breaking over the raw and heartfelt emotions that poured from the pages.

You're introduced to two very unique characters in this book. And although they seem to be quite different from each other, they're both actually more similar than what they originally thought. Jack Carraway is a sexy, gorgeous, a tad nerdy (yes, just a tad), and rugged billionaire who has a "love 'em and leave 'em" reputation with the ladies. A carefree guy who loves to have fun both in and out of the sheets, lives every day to the fullest. He couldn't be more different from a classic, neurotic beauty like Dahlia Rossi, who may seem a bit uptight (well, maybe more than a bit) with all her carefully constructed rules and plans. But the minute they meet, all inhibitions fly right out the window. Attraction and chemistry sizzles, and it's beyond obvious these two have an undeniable connection. But with the same as life, love is not without its setbacks and downfalls. Can these two make what was supposed to be an unexpected one-night stand into something more and long-lasting?...or will they let their differences overshadow what their hearts are telling them?

Dating the Billionaire is another standout and exceptional read from Poppy Dunne! Like her previous books, this story was exceedingly well written and full of sparks and fire. Her characters are one-of-a-kind, and you just can't help but fall in love with them. Passion, love, comedy, drama, and eroticism...Dating the Billionaire checks them all off! Poppy has quickly become a go-to author to me, and I'm beyond excited for more of her fantastic books! And unquestionable must read!

Dating the Billionaire is Poppy Dunne’s third book, and tells the story of Dahlia and Jack. Like her other books this story is a funny RomCom with laughter, but also with some serious moments. I love Dahlia and her ‘rules’, and how Jack handles them (or more likely, makes Dahlia forget them).
“A good book? Same thing as a good man: never let it out of your sight, and don’t let your friend borrow it unless you want the pages to come back all crinkled and the dog to have chewed on it.”

Dahlia is the queen of planning and rules. Because she’s a wee bit chaotic by nature, Dahlia plans out every to detail to give herself (and her choatic mind) some structure. As a dating coach Dahlia is successful, and she helps her clients with her own rules. The same list of rules is also applyed to her own love-life, but so far she hasn’t found Mr. Right. Meeting Jack isn’t so much a shock, but the way he makes her break all of her rules is…

Jack is a successful and handsome entrepreneur, but on the inside he’s still a nerdy kid full of pranks. With his social status he mostly gets away with it, but Jack doesn’t always know when to stop or what the consequences of his actions might be. Jack isn’t unfamiliar with the ladies, but he instantly knows Dahlia is different.
“I feel a little more exposed than you do.” She traces her gaze down my body, landing on my pants, which are still zipped. “Being patient is a sexy quality in a woman.” I lean down over her, catching her lips in a kiss. Her tongue taps against the inside of my mouth.”

The moment Dahlia and Jack meet there’s an undeniable attraction. It’s lust, it’s hot, it’s explosive, and one night is not enough. Dahlia does her best to keep Jack at some sort of distance, because a man like him is against all of her (self-imposed) rules, but she fails miserably. Jack tries to learn Dahlia to be more relaxed, but he doesn’t ridicule her believes, he just makes her think. Of course, there’s a wee bit of drama for our couple, but that they end up together is a given fact.

As already said, Dating the Billionaire is the author’s third book, and I feel she’s getting more into her own style. I love Dahlia and Jack, and how they are written; they are realistic people with real-life reactions. Besides the main storyline there are a few more storylines. They don’t take away from Jack and Dahlia’s story, but they do make me curious. In fact, I would love to read a story about Edith and her crazy antics.
“She nestles close, laying her head across my chest. It’s just like our first night, only better. Because now, for the first time in my goddamn ridiculous, admittedly kind of awesome life, I’m in love.”

I love Dating the Billionaire, I give the story of Dahlia and Jack 4.5 stars.

Sexy and fun, Dating the Billionaire is quite the entertainment. The blurb sounded interesting, a premise of something good!

When a dating coach extraordinaire, Dahlia Rossi, met her match and broke every rule she has ever written and followed religiously, having fun was good but it definitely put everything under perspective… now she’s dating a billionaire, the kind of one, unpredictable, too charming for his own good. The man she didn't see coming.

Dahlia and Jack were totally a match. They had chemistry inside and outside the bedroom, but could it be more than just a fling? For once, a predictable life seems not that enticing at all. Each other are both stepping out their comfort zone and it worked. It was natural and really refreshing, spontaneous and a bit sarcastic.

Poppy Dunne knows how to write comedies with sexy billionaires falling in love with some strong heroines. It was spontaneous and a bit sarcastic.

Regardless all these good elements, I wasn’t so enthralled, because of the characters, Jack who tends to love himself a lot, taking some time to realize how controlling he was with his loved ones, crossing the lines a lot. (probably part of the billionaire’s charm or not)

Dahlia’s set of rules could have seen as a bit annoying but definitely makes sense, it was too much emphasized to me.

Overall, there were some priceless moments, utterly hilarious, a mix of sweet and sexy.

As far I was concerned, it was a story without pretense, just to make the reader having fun for a moment. It was well written for sure but it was a halftone success.

A sexy change of scenery.

The story is hot and funny, smart and sarcastic in equal measures. This author has become my favorite voice for a laugh out loud quirky fun romantic comedy.

"A perfect ass and grade-A tits are good. A lovely face, sleek hair, full lips? Incredible. But a good heart? That’s my favorite thing to see in a woman. I mean, not literally see. I’d either need X-ray vision or homicidal intent for that. There’s a reason I don’t tell people every thought in my head."

I always enjoy reading a Poppy Dunne novel, and this one is no exception. There are so many things to appreciate with this book, and Dahlia was one of them. She was the sort of character that as a teen wasn't appreciated for her quirks and felt more order was needed to achieve in life. So she created a whole lot of rules and became a professional dating expert. Although rules are meant to be broken, just ask Jack. He is the total opposite with the rules. He is a self made billionaire who lives life to the fullest and takes no prisoners. The thing that holds dear to them both is family. Jack maybe flippant with certain things, but when push comes to shove, his family is the most important, which endears Dahlia more.

The first night Dahlia meets Jack, she brakes so many rules. The attraction is undeniable, and they hit it off straight away. They have great chemistry that brings out her sassiness and his wit, the banter is funny. The beginning seemed a little rushed and forced, but once I got to know these two and their quips, I fell right into the story and got a kick out of it. It is told in dual POV, which I am a big fan of and works extremely well for this breezy schtick.

Una comedia romántica sobre romper las reglas y seguir las que dicta el corazón

Dating The Billionaire de Poppy Dunne

Quirky, fun & Sexy

This book was the exact blend of quirky, fun and sexy that I've come to expect from Poppy Dunne. I think she's found her niche in the fantastic way she shapes her characters through their internal monologue. I love getting to know characters through their thoughts sometimes more than their actions and getting to know Dahlia and Jack was a riot.

If you're looking for a fun, low angst read with plenty of steam and Harry Potter references then I think this is a book you'll want to pick up!

Nothing great in life happens without a little risk.

Dating the Billionaire has all the fun, flirty, steamy, sweet moments that I have come to expect from Poppy Dunne. Lighthearted and entertaining, it’s a quick, easy read you are sure to enjoy.

Dahlia is a professional dating expert. She does a good job at reading people and has made several perfect matches over the past ten years. Her “Commandments of Dating” include the rules she uses when sets a couple up and it's proven successful for everyone...except her. Dahlia hasn't found "the one" yet much to her dismay, but she is happy to watch her clients find their HEA.

Jack is a billionaire who made his own money after graduating from MIT. He's handsome and cocky but you can't help but like him.  He lives his life the way he wants and doesn't like following rules. He enjoys women and settling down isn't something he thinks about. When he meets Dahlia there is an instant spark and he knows he wants to get to know her better. What happens when one night with Jack is all it takes to throw Dahlia's ironclad rules out the window?

This book is fun and witty. Dahlia was a hoot and I loved watching as she let go and live a little. She was out of her element yet she still goes with it, and seeing her breaking her own rules was satisfying. Jack wants Dahlia and I love the way he gets her to forget about her rules, even if it's for a short time. He was nerdy, swoony, and a total sweetheart. He isn't afraid of his feelings, has a huge heart, and would do anything for the people he loves. When he loves, he loves big.

Jack and Dahlia work well together and bring out the best in one another. Their banter is fun and flirty, and the sexy time is hot. I loved watching their relationship go from a one-night stand to something more.  When the conflict comes into play, it isn't too angsty or drawn out but I felt like Dahlia was a bit quick to react. In the end, I liked how it played out and thought Dahlia and Jack fit together better with the changes they made in their lives.

Overall, Dating the Billionaire is a fun, light read and I can’t wait for more from Poppy Dunne.

4 Follow the Rules CROWNS

Dating the Billionaire by Poppy Dunne is a fun and quick romance. The characters are entertaining and their quick romance is fun and steamy.

Jack is an interesting billionaire. While he is good looking and incredibly wealthy tech. genius, he lacks that controlling and domineering quality readers have come to expect from this character archetype. He is funny and charming, and there is an immature side of him. He doesn't often think of consequences of his actions because he is looking for have fun, not just for himself but for others, too.

Dahlia lives a life of rules. It is how she has learned to function in her life, and she rarely, if ever, deviates from the rules. Jack, though, challenges hers, and while she rises to the challenge, she also knows enough about herself to know when she needs to walk.

Dating the Billionaire is a story that is not only focused on romance but also showcases the evolution of two characters. It shows how two people in a relationship change and become something better when they find that person who they have that spark with.

Dating the Billionaire was another enjoyable, endearing, funny read by Poppy Dunne!

First off, we have Dahlia, professional dating coach with rules, rules and more rules on the adventures of dating. However, when it comes down to it and she meets a sexy billionaire that sets her panties on fire all rules go OUT THE WINDOW! As much as she tries to get a handle on the situation and reign in her hot, animal attraction to Jack she realizes this is a no-win situation. No number of rules can keep her from wanting to spend time with him.

Jack, a hot and sexy, single billionaire has his sights set on Dahlia and will do everything in his power to derail her from following the rules her entire business is based on. He may be swoon worthy and sexy, but Jack is also a family man which makes him all the more lovable. He's a businessman at heart, but puts his brother and niece/nephew first on his priority list and that is nothing short of sexy.

The wit and humor Poppy incorporates into her characters words is so creative. I love hearing the crazy inner dialogue Dahlia and Jack are having while trying to navigate this new relationship. Who doesn't talk to themselves from time to time to get a handle on where your thoughts and feelings are. This story is hot, clever and well written. If you enjoy sexy, laugh out loud rom-coms you need to check out Poppy Dunne!

Rules can give you a sense of direction, they can give you a way to feel that you are doing what you are supposed to be doing in a situation that is not clear. And, rules are the same for everyone. That's the whole point of having them.

Dahlia believes in rules. They keep her safe, and she has convinced herself that they are necessary. So necessary, in fact, that she has a career that is built on teaching others to follow these same rules, and to not deviate from them.

So, what happens when Dahlia meets Jack, the epitome of a rule breaker? Well, swan attacks and nights in capes, for starters. Yup. Swans apparently attack. Who knew. And, capes also come in adult sizes. Who knew? For details, you will just have to read the book. I know you are curious, because, attacking swan.

Jack has no rules. Jack has money and when you have as much money as Jack, it isn't that you have no rules, it is that the rules are different when you can buy pretty much anything that you want, towns and islands included.

Dahlia and Jack really, on the surface, shouldn't work. The only rule he has is that he breaks all of them, a point that comes up over and over in the story. In a lot of ways, Jack isn't totally grown up. He knows he has rules, and that other people have rules, and that his rules are different. But, and this really is the core conflict for Dahlia and Jack as a couple, he doesn't understand that there are some people who like their rules and don't want him to use his money, his name, his anything, to go around them.

In order for Jack and Dahlia to work, he has to understand that just because he can get away with just about anything doesn't mean that he should (isn't that adulthood in a nutshell?) and Dahlia has to realize that rules aren't one size fits all, that some rules are meant to be broken, that some people have different rules, and that sometimes that isn't a bad thing.

It's not an easy journey for either of them.

I did, sadly, have a small issue with the pacing in this one, a very small issue, but to me the realization for Jack that his rules were not the same, and that not everyone lives in the world of his rules (or wants to) was a little too quick. I know, this had to happen, and it did need to happen...but I thought that it was a little too easy. Not a huge issue, and not one that will stop you from loving the book.

Poppy Dunne is a wonderful writer. Her stories are fun, and they are funny, and they are fully of a certain whimsy that makes you just enjoy them. There are a lot of Harry Potter references in this one, and I find this to be very fitting. The things that her characters think, and say, and do, fit in so well with the Potter world, not just in this book but in her others...you feel fully transported in the story, and really there is nothing better.

I recommend this book.

Poppy Dunne has become my 'go-to' for a great quirky and fun RomCom. Dating the Billionaire does not disappoint.

Dahlia Rossi is a dating a coach and relationship expert (read matchmaker). She believes in always following tried and true rules for her clients and herself.

Jack Carraway is a super hot and sexy tech-geek billionaire who is impulsive and he never lets rules get in the way of what he wants.

"Jack points an accusing wand in my face, and I don’t mean that in a dirty way. I kind of wish I meant that in a dirty way, but I think that’s for a different type of Harry Potter film. Harry Potter XXX and the Chamber of Horny Co-Eds. Forgive me, Rowling, for I have sinned in my thoughts."

When the couple meet they are immediately, intensely and uncontrollably attracted to each other! Sparks fly! But Jack wants Dahlia to break all the rules and Dahlia would like Jack to think before he leaps into action.

"To say Jack and I shared a spark is a massive understatement. It was more like an instantaneous explosion, or an electrical fire that goes crazy and wipes out half a city block."

The story is hot and funny, smart and sarcastic in equal measures. This author has become my favorite voice for a laugh out loud quirky fun romantic comedy.

Rules, Rules, Rules....Are meant to be broken, right? But, what if you wrote the rules and you find yourself breaking every single one of them?
Dahlia is a Professional Dating Coach, she prides herself on the advice she gives her clients to finding true love.

Then there's Jack Carraway, Billionaire Playboy. He has his sights set on Dahlia and enjoys a spontaneous lifestyle and a challenge.

Dahlia begins breaking her own rules one right after another with the sexy Billionaire.
Example: "No sex on the first date!" Ah, yea, that is definitely broken!!!

The POV of both characters was refreshing and funny. And personally, I adored the love they had for their families.

If you're looking for a steamy summer read that is fantastically funny and sexy...this is the book for you.
Enjoy and get ready to break your own rules this summer! 💋❤

5 billionaire stars! This is the best Rom-Com I have ever read.

Sweet baby Jesus! Dating the Billionaire is one of the best Rom-Com books I had the pleasure to read. Poppy Dunne delivers a stunning story. The plot is hilarious. It really made me laugh so much. The characters are very well developed. If I could give this book more than five star, I would give a thousand stars.

So, what could happen when an spontaneous billionaire meet a beautiful woman who is a great follower of rules? There are many possible answers. It could be a disaster with capital letters or it could be a funny collide of egos.

Well, in this book you will find a pretty story where the characters will make you laugh with their occurrences.

This is about passion, explosive attraction, steamy sex, broken rules, hidden emotions and hope.

“Dating rule 1: Get the man to make the first move.”

Dahlia is a successful woman who helps people to find and keep their right soulmates. She has a quite list of rules which must be applied as stated. People pay her good money for her advices but not everything in life is simple as following rules. She is a pretty fan of rules but she will learn that sometimes it is refreshing to loose control, to let it happen as it should be.

“Dating rule 2: Make sure the man pays for the first date.
Dating rule 3: Never have sex on the first date.
Dating rule 4: Play hard to get, but not too well.”

There is not right or wrong when we talked about feelings. The heart knows what it wants at the time it needs. Some people said that rules were made to break them in order to enjoy your life. Life is never easy but we could make it easy.

A cocky billionaire will twist her world up and down and she will be breaking her own rules in delicious and exciting ways.

“Tell me your rules, baby. Then let me break them, all of them.”

Jack is, (how can I describe the soon-to-be-my-babies'-father?), the sexiest wet dream of any girl. At first sight, he could be catalogued as an immature billionaire who does not care about consequences. He lives as he pleases. He had lost his parents and his baby brother is one of the most important people in his life. He does everything for him and his children. He is very protective.

When he met Dahlia, he will loose his mind. He will make her to brake all her rules and during the process he will enjoy it as a kid in a candy store.

“Push the obvious sexual innuendo to one side, and then acknowledge that I’m going to win. I’m competitive like that. But she’s not going to be an easy opponent.”

The pull and push game between Dahlia and Jack is an exquisite and refreshing thing. They are like the sun and the moon. She is all rules and he is all living at the moment. They complete each other in a cute kind of way.

“A perfect ass and grade-A tits are good. A lovely face, sleek hair, full lips? Incredible. But a good heart? That’s my favorite thing to see in a woman.”

I give more brownie points for the hilarious Harry Potter cosplay scene. I am a huge fan of HP and for me, this was a wonderful surprise.

“Avocado cadaver!”

If you want a refreshing and funny read, Dating the billionaire is for you. I assure you that you will enjoy this book as much as I did. This is a good example of how Romance Comedy shall be written.

And more brownie points for the Star Wars reference. This book is like it was specially written for me lol.

“Women like vampires and billionaires, right? Deadly combination.”

Dating the Billionaire begins with Dahlia Rossi helping a new client, as well as an already established one. While attending a party with the latter, as “support”, she encounters none other than Jack Carraway: self-made billionaire, tech geek and, according to the tabloids, playboy extraordinaire. Is she intrigued? You betcha. Is she going to fall for his sweet and sexy words? Nope. At least, that’s what she thought.

Jack Carraway is a self-made man who finds it more than troubling that he can’t get his one night with Dahlia Rossi out of his mind. He’s always been a “love ‘em and leave ‘em happy” kind of guy. He is not interested in anything long-term. Or, that’s what he thought. However, there is no denying the chemistry the two of them share. As all of Dahlia’s rules fly out the window, she finds herself wondering……would it be so bad dating the billionaire?

Dating the Billionaire is the first I’ve read by Poppy Dunne. It’s written by alternating first person POVs, which I’m not a huge fan of. After the first few chapters, I contemplated putting it down, but then a funny thing happened. I fell in love with this story! To say it’s quirky would be a bit of an understatement, but I found it very endearing. The two main characters were okay individually, but they made me laugh out loud when they bantered back and forth about the weirdest things. I loved the secondary characters, one of which is Dahlia’s best friend, puts the IR in quirky. I, for one, hope she gets her own book. Some of them left me scratching my head, but in a good way. LOL! Anyway, if you’re looking for a romance that’s a fast read, as well as funny, a little strange and sexy as hell, you won’t go wrong with this one. Well done, Poppy Dunne!

I’ll admit, I’m a romantic comedy junkie. I love the movies, I FLOVE the books!!! So, after reading a few heavier, emotional romances, I knew I needed to jump into my favorites. Poppy Dunne provided exactly what I needed. And this was my first by Poppy, but she had me at the title. I knew it was going to be a winner.

Here’s what I love so much about rom coms – witty humor (of course!), sass, an undeniable connection between the main characters, steamy scenes (must have!), well rounded characters, and quirky best friends. The finished story always leaves my heart full and bursting with love and happiness. Yep, I’m a major sap!

Dating the Billionaire follows Dahlia, a professional matchmaker, and Jack, the tech billionaire. Dahlia has a VERY specific idea of how to cultivate a relationship and fall in love. Step by step, follow the rules and you can find your match. Little does she know, Jack wants to break all her rules after a chance meeting while Dahlia’s chaperoning a client’s date.

Dahlia is such a fantastic character – firstly, she loves to eat monster cake before lunch! A chick after my own heart!! She has amazing relationships with the people closest to her, quality relationships with her best friend (who is a very interesting personality), and her family. She makes no apology for being a strong willed, successful woman. On the flips side, she’s very cautious; she sticks to what she knows, her lists (not bashing a good to-do list, those are lifesavers), and her rules. She requires structure and control to ensure her world keeps turning.

On the other hand, Jack is her opposite; which makes the story interesting. How can he crack Dahlia’s rules and the comfort zone she’s assigned to herself? Jack’s fun loving nature is SUPER contagious. He’s fun loving, devoted to his family, and doesn’t care about rules. He’ll break EVERY SINGLE ONE and break down Dahlia’s walls in the process. Their chemistry is enticing, while their inner dialogue provides plenty of humor. Dahlia and jack are two pieces of a puzzle that fit together in perfect symmetry.

I am now a HUGE fan of Poppy Dunne!! I will be filling my bookshelves with fan favorites until I can’t get enough. If you’re looking for a light, fun, sexy, rom com, Poppy’s Dating the Billionaire will not let you down. Prepare for a laugh-out-loud good time full of saucy, witter banter, sexy times, quirky friends, and delicious abs 😊

Poppy Dunne is an automatic one click author for me. When I saw this blurb I started grinning-I knew it was going to be a fun ride. I definitely wasn't disappointed. This book was fun, sexy, and a pleasure to read.

I really felt a connection to Dahlia. She's a rule follower, a list maker and an interesting dating coach. I was intrigued by her rules and enjoyed getting to the root of why she needed these rules to live by. Her dating approach is do as I say, not as I do-even before she meets Jack. I say that because she's a single dating coach-I believe she would have followed her rules to a T before meeting Jack. Seeing her discover, and acknowledge, her true self was a joy.

Jack...I think every woman wants to be swept off her feet by someone like Jack once in their lives. He's fun, flirty, and he's sexy. His money was an afterthought to me-though I wouldn't mind flying on his private plane. While there were times I wanted to shake him his heart was usually in the right spot. Jack had some growing up to do and I enjoyed seeing that play out.

There's an instant spark between these two. It sizzles and pops right off the page. Their sexy times are absolutely sexy and hot. I adore it. But outside of the bedroom they taught each other important things as well. I was fully invested in them as a couple, rooting for them from the sidelines. I appreciated the real struggle these two faced with each other and watching them overcome their differences.

The writing here is sharp. It's witty and it's fun. The plot is refreshing, the secondary characters are sometimes an absolute hoot. I enjoyed every minute of reading this book and finished it in a day. It was a fast, fun and sexy read and showed me again why Poppy Dunne is a one click author for me. I recommend this book.

Dating the Billionaire was my first foray into Poppy Dunne's writing and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her style.

This book was a nice balance of humor, sexy and swoon... it was quickly paced and made reading light and fun. It is so much fun to read books where you watch the control freak characters slowly unravel and come alive and out of their controlled shell.

Enter Dahlia Rossi, a dating coach, who has rules for her clients to ensure their happily ever after. Despite her massive success for her clients, she has yet to find the one to set her heart ablaze and her own happily ever after.

That is.... until she meets Jack Carraway, sexy billionaire tech mogul with a surprisingly giant, soft heart. He's the stereotypical carefree billionaire who has a random date on his arm (and in his bed) whenever he wants.

These two meet by chance at a NYC benefit and the sparks are flying all over the place. Dahlia's list of rules goes flying out the window as quick as her clothes come off. But her tightly controlled way of thinking has her over-analyzing everything she's feeling and their past and future encounters. While Jack is dealing with his own feelings for this woman... why does he feel the need to see her again?

The push and pull between the two characters is fun to read. Poppy Dunne has a fun style of having the characters inner dialogue be directed at the reader, like you are a part of the fun. And part of the fun I sure was... I could not wait to read at every spare moment I had because it was just such an epic balance of humor and swoonworthy sexiness that I could not get enough. It was not your typical billionaire romance and I loved it!

Poppy Dunne is a new author, but she is going to quickly become an automatic one-click, her engaging style and wit is top notch and not to be missed!

Dating The Billionaire is a fun, sassy, pantie melting read that will have you rolling with laughter and swooning all at the same time.

Dahlia Rossi is a dating coach that has rules and always follows them to the letter.

Jack Carraway is a man that lives with no rules because rules are made to be broken.

A chance encounters brings these two very different together and the passion explodes.

So can a rule breaker and rule follower find a way to met in the middle and build a lasting relationship? Or are they just two different to be more than a short term fling?

There are no words to express how much I love Dating The Billionaire. I was glued to each page like my life depended on it, and in some ways I think it did. I just had to know how this exciting story was going to end.

Dahlia... oh Dahlia.... I love all the inner monologue. Her nerdy references are brilliant and have me laughing out loud. She's brilliant, funny, thoughtful, sweet, and oh so lovable. Everyone needs a Dahlia in their life.

And Jack? Yum, yum, yum! Yeah, he's tall, dark, and handsome, but there is more to him than his good looks and checkbook. And yes he's dirty, naughty, and knows how to make a woman weak in the knees. But it's his heart and the love of his family that bewitches you.

Poppy always brings a brilliantly written reads and Dating The Billionaire is another shinny example. It's witty, charming, swoon worthy love story that will leave you with a smile. The banter is saucy, the passion intense, and story line engrossing. If you are looking for a hero will melt your heart and a heroine that's feisty and strong willed, then I highly recommend you one click this exquisite read. Take my word for it, you seriously don't want miss the Hermione and Voldemort showdown!

This is the first book by this author I have read and yes I love Billionaire books so this was right up my street.

I was pleasantly surprised at how Dating the Billionaire is not only brimming with emotion; it is also one of those books that is crammed moments where your heart will just break with what these characters reveal. There are also parts of this book which will have you in fits of laughter.

The two main characters are Jack Carraway and Dahlia Rossi and when you read about these two in the synopsis you cannot imagine these two ever getting on, however, you are pleasantly surprised by this coupling.

Jack is typical woman’s man, he can have who he wants without the commitment which is the way he likes it. He is sexy as sin and knows it, loves to have fun and thinks you’re not living your live unless you live it to the best of your ability.

Dahlia has rules, plans, and schedules and is much organised, she knows what she wants and how to get it, however, is her way the right way?

Two opposites but in retrospect two similar people each trying to get what they want and deserve out of life, each wanting a love they deserve but can these two fulfil each other’s needs, can they love each other??

This book is full of sexual attraction and chemistry; you can feel it on the pages

This is a standalone book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this from this author, another one I will look out for in the future.
