In a very long time, I truly enjoyed reading a book! When I saw the cover, I'd never thought I'd connect so much with it! But I must say, the sweet memories of the Jewish heritage flowing through the pages has still not left my memory! The research carried on the work is extensive and must be appreciated. Having visited the Jew Street in Kochi, my heart yearns to see the ones in Mumbai and Pune!

These Jaico series of books on Indian Culture and Heritage are amazingly good and astutely researched.

I had a minimal idea of how the two kinds of Jews were so influential in Mumbai and neighbouring places. A little bit of a dense book with lots of names, but the stories are amazing.
