This much-acclaimed sequel to Kotov's masterwork, Think Like a Grandmaster, is also in algebraic notation. A superlative guide to chess playing for the amateur, it covers positional judgment, planning, combinational vision and calculation and practical play, and features many examples of each.

a great systematic presentation of the modernist approach to chees playing, with examples that actually describe the thought process, which I found rather interesting to read. There's also the English language version, which looks slightly differerent (ISBN 9780713478853)
