I highly recommend this book. Currently reading for the second time. I felt as if I was in the same room as the author and he was having a conversation with me. Really helped me understand how I could be a better person, and how to have a fulfilling life following Jesus.

This book is awesome so far. The way the author focuses on making the Sermon practical in modern America while weaving in personal stories makes this a really great read. One of my favorite things here is that the context of the Sermon itself is given great attention. What you have here is a robust bible study, a reflection on Jesus' teachings in a turbulent society, and a front-row view into the author's ongoing journey with applying these teachings in his own life. I highly, highly, highly recommend!

I've been following the author's blog for a few years now and enjoy his humor and insight. I'm just beginning the book and it does not disappoint. I'll add to this review after I've turned the last page.

Thomas Christianson is a fantastic author! This book was not only comforting, it was laugh out loud funny!
