About the author

Author of over forty romance novels, Emily Mims combined her writing career with a career in public education until leaving the classroom to write full time. In addition to eighteen Candlelight Ecstasy Romances under the pen name 'Emily Elliott', she has written two series under her own name, the Texas Hill Country series and the Smoky Blue series, and has completed four books in the Durango Street Theatre series. The mother of two sons and grandmother to six, she and her husband Charles split their time between San Antonio and their lake home in the Texas Hill Country, and make frequent trips to Tennessee to see grandchildren. When not busy at the word processor, she plays the piano, organ and dulcimer. She plays her ukulele with two singing groups and has even been known to sing a song or two at the mic. She says, "I love to write romances because I believe in them. Romance happened to me and it can happen to any woman-if she'll just let it."

This is book four in The Smokey Blues Series and it is Timberlynn and Sawyer's story. Timberlynn's husband is dead and she blames Sawyer even though she is pregnant with his baby and she hates everything that he stands for. Sawyer finds out that Timberlynn is pregnant with his child and he wants everything with her including his child but you do not always get what you want in life especially as he has secrets that he can not let anyone know as it will put them in danger. Will Sawyer be able to protect Timberlynn and there child or will he loose everything that he as always wanted. Omg this this story just broke me and had me in tears with everything that they were going through. There are twists and turns along with lots of baggage, heartbreak, guilt, loss, love and hope but will they get a happy ending. You really need to read this book and series and you will not be disappointed as it is well written by Emily and a real page turner.

Guilt is a powerful destroying force, whichever side your on. If you feel guilty you let it eat at you, destroying your ability to make rationale decisions. If your dishing it out your destroying someone else while not dealing with your own stuff.
This story is an example of what it does to you on both sides.
Sawyer is a warrior fighting a unwinable war, as a result of guilt placed on others, it controls his life not allowing him to experience anything but the battle.
Timberlynn lives her life in anger at what has been stolen from her. She allows guilt to stop her from moving on in life.
This story grabbed me and pushed and pulled me threw heartbreak, guilt, love and loss right along with Timberlynn, Sawyer and their family and friends. Grab the tissues turn on the bluegrass and enjoy.

What do you do when the one man you hate more than anything, is the one man you crave, the consequence from the one night you gave in to that passion, has the power to heal you or hurt you worse, Timberlynn must decide if the pain of the past is worth holding onto, or should she give Sawyer a chance to prove who he really can be.
Sawyer is an arse, he has a single minded determination to rid the world of drugs, but is he doing it for the right reasons and do ends ever justify the means, he needs to prove to Timberlynn he can be the man she needs, but can he reconcile his past to do so.
This story will tear at your heart while making you smile, laugh and cry.

This is the fourth book in the Smokey Blues series. Here we get to see Sawyer's story. Timberlynn is unexpectedly pregnant with his child and he wants to be part of their lives. They have a lot of issues to work out between them before she will relent. This is a well-written story with a gripping storyline that will keep you turning the pages anxiously wanting to see how things end. A well-developed plot with plenty of twists and turns along the way that will keep you guessing. A very entertaining read!

Finally, Sawyer gets his story and it is a doozy. Timberlynn and Sawyer have a lot of baggage between them but it works out in the end. To bad it takes so long for him to get the point that everyone is telling him. I was a little afraid that Timbelynn and the baby would not make it through the ordeal. But they do and everyone lives happily ever after. Loved this 4th book in the Smokey Blues series, can’t wait for more.

This is the story of Timberlynn and Sawyer. She is unexpectedly pregnant with his child and he demands to be involved. He has harbored the desire to make Timberlynn his and here is his chance. Can he stop his obsession with fighting the war on drugs long enough to make things work with Timberlynn? Can Timberlynn stop being angry at the tragic events long enough to let love in again? The fourth book in the Smokey Blues Series a well written story with a very good storyline, I would say read these books in order, to better enjoy this series. Widow Timberlynn Barstow and Sawyer Ellison's story I have been waiting for this story to happen this is a couple that deserved to have a story of their own. I recommend. I cannot get enough of this author and this series!

It is wrought with emotion and so well written that I absolutely could not put it down!
Each book has been cohesive and enlightening to the overall theme between these characters.
