Relax: Guided Meditation to Aid Sleep, After the Loss of a Beloved Dog

Rate this book
This paper back is made to go with the audio book called RELAX
Guided meditation to aid sleep, after the loss of a beloved dog

When we lose a much loved dog it is like losing a best friend or a member of our family. It can be heart-breaking. Life may seem like it will never be the same again. There could be a hole in our hearts that can’t be filled and you may find it difficult to sleep. Your beloved dog made you feel loved and secure, and now you could feel lost.

Losing your four-legged best friend is no trivial matter. The death can’t be brushed aside with life carrying on as if nothing had happened. Time is needed to heal. Learning to relax with sufficient, quality sleep at night is an important part of recovering.

It can be a great shock when your dog is no longer around. This book has been made accompany the audio book which is also called RELAX. In the chapters that follow, I have written out the text for the meditation. If you are unable to listen to the audio, I believe the meditation could still be beneficial. Get someone to read it to you that you trust or read it slowly to someone that you love.
It will allow you to take a step back from the void, to relax, and spend some happy times with your dog using your own personal memories.

I will be taking you to a safe place in your mind where you will be able to reconnect. Then, by using my personal relaxation technique, you will be able to drift into a peaceful sleep. After a good night’s rest you should be able to cope and manage the loss when you are awake.

Being able to help yourself with the grief is a vital part of healing, but this book and the accompanying audiobook is only a supplement treatment. I strongly recommend that, as well as using this and the audiobook, you should talk to your loved ones, or a doctor, about your loss. Do not be afraid to talk about your grief; remembering the good times, as well as the not so good, are all part of the healing process.

You are not alone. I made this audiobook for my daughter, Emily, and myself after the death of our beloved Springer Spaniel, Mandy (pictured on the cover). I am a level 2 Reiki Healer and have directed positive energy into my words.

I hope that you will be able to take comfort in my words and find peace to live your life to the fullest, while still being able to keep your precious memories of your dog alive in your heart.

My name is Jane Yates, and I’m an author, artist and a narrator. I live in the historical City of Oxford in the UK.
Because I am dyslexic I did not start writing until I was 50 years old. I started as a cartoonist, illustrating and writing about my Springer Spaniel Mandy for a local community paper in Oxford, The Leys News, sadly closed down now.
I worked for several years in the Pitt Rivers a Museum in Oxford, which directly inspired me to write my first three books, the Paradox Child series.
My other books are Octopus Pirate and Garden which is published by Autumn Orchard and is Amazon’s #1 Children's Steampunk Bestseller. Also In audio read by Actress Anna Parker-Naples.

After the death of my dog Mandy, I had problem’s sleeping and discovered that there was not enough support after the loss of a beloved pet. Also realising that my youngest daughter, Emily who was also grieving Mandy, who she had known for most of her life. I decided to make an audio. that would help other people who found themselves in the same situation.

Very Touching!

Very soothing and relaxing amidst feelings of grief and sorrow. The voice of the author is really eloquent and elevated. Excellent for taking a rest or just chilling out and concentration

My dog was terminal when I got this book and couldn't listen until after he passed. Now I wish I had listened before he passed because I feel it would have relieved a lot of the stress of caring for him as he lay dying. This is a most comforting and soothing meditation. The music is relaxing and Jane's voice is very soothing. It's like having a good friend talking with you. Losing a beloved pet is devastating but this meditation really helps you cope.
