Maximus Larkin likes order in his life. Now that the Eagle Creek shifters are starting to settle into an organized crew, Max and his panther are almost content. As the lead enforcer, he is honored to help his alpha and has enjoyed making the camp a safe place for all. Especially for one particularly feisty, gorgeous, black-haired beauty, whose animal is nothing like his own. Max knows Fawn could be the final piece to his happiness puzzle, and he’ll do anything to make her believe the same.
Fawn Marlow ran to Eagle Creek to escape the fate of her family. A raven shifter promised to another a long time ago, Fawn always opposed the strict raven traditions and morbid family business. Living in Alaska, far away from any others of her kind, had proven to be the best decision of her life. After all, Eagle Creek not only offered her a home, but it had also been the place she’d met the sexy, brilliant, and irresistible Max.
The new regulations have forced Max and Fawn to publicly share their location. And that has revealed hidden ghosts from both their pasts, threatening to destroy all they’ve built together in Eagle Creek. Max must accept responsibility for a rash decision years ago, and Fawn will have to come to terms with the life she was born into. But their choices may mean the time they had together must come to an end—unless they can find a way to accept each other’s darkest secrets while still keeping Eagle Creek safe.
Warning: This story contains alpha males, sensual shifters, and delicious romance ready to be devoured. It is intended for a mature audience.
Ashlee Sinn fancies all creatures of the paranormal persuasion, especially those who like to bite. Her steamy romances tend to feature swoon-worthy heroes and kick-ass heroines. Whether it's vampires, shifters, or demons, the women who keep them in line have a special place in her heart. And in her chaotic head.

Maximus is the second book in Ashlee Sinn’s new series called The Shifters of Eagle Creek. This is a spinoff from Ashlee Sinn’s Alaska Shifter Series, in which Maximus and his friends were originally introduced.
Maximus Larkin is a panther shifter and lead enforcer of the newly organized crew, the Eagle Creek Shifters. His job is to help his alpha and make the camp safe for everyone. Fawn Marlow is a free spirited raven shifter, who came to Eagle Creek to escape her family, an arranged marriage and strict raven traditions.
Both came to Eagle Creek to hide away from their pasts and start over, but Shifter registration and new regulations force Max and Fawn to share their whereabouts publicly. But when Max’s pasts choices and behaviours catch up with him, Fawn has to decide if she can accept them and move forward. And when Fawn has to choose between her family and Max, what will she do? What will Max do? Can their love survive?
The attraction between Max and Fawn was clearly evident in the first book (Donovan) of this series. I loved the sexual tension and flirting between them throughout this book. They are a great couple who use instincts and communication to work through their problems. This is a good quick love story about accepting your past mistakes and working together to create a better future. With the right mate you can attain your dreams.
FYI: I can’t wait to read Rhys’ story. Is Sarah involved?
All the books in Ashlee Sinn’ series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

loved this one. I adore all the books by Ashlee Sinn and this one was no different. I had been interested in Max and Fawn's relationship since I first read about them in the first eagle Creek book.. but I'd been interested in max's story since before that when we met him in the shifters of Alaska series. this story really emphasised the fact that just because u have a kid with someone doesn't mean u have to marry them and not the one you truly love.. and then there were the family obligations that Fawn was forced to face... I really believe that you should never alter your future or happiness for others so I was very pleased with the outcome. I definitely recommend this one but I really think u should read them in order.
Max has a past that he mostly doesn't remember and he is not proud of his actions. Yet this feisty Raven, his second is so far under his skin if he doesn't do something soon he'll go nuts. This author provides us with a fun, fast emotional standalone as we focus on more residents of Eagle Creek. It passionate with some intrigue and exciting twists, wonderful characters who have overcome their past and are now looking to their futures. Great read.

I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a wonderful read of shifter romance. I adored Max and Fawn. It was great reconnecting with the rest of the Eagle Creek Shifters as well. I hope Rhys gets his book soon!
I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who loves shifter romance.
Changes have occurred with shifters coming out of the shadows and becoming a part of society. The story involved two shifters of different types, one a panther and one a raven. The trials and tribulations make it a good story.
