I never really intended to write a novel, certainly not a trilogy, but then I had an experience ... a truly mind-blowing experience. The Breaking Mirrors Trilogy is an allegory of that experience.
I live with my wife in Dorset, on the sunny south coast of England.
Thanks for stopping by ... and enjoy your reading.
This book was the second novel - or middle - book in a Trilogy. And I did not read the first story, but it did not prevent me from enjoying this one. First good point is that it involves TWINS. For some reason, I am fascinated by twins, as are many other people. Bartholomew is one of the twins; his twin brother is Joseph. And although they grew up separate, they are together now and apparently indistinguishable.
A lot about London and its history, some of which I liked, but London is not my favorite city, and some of the areas they detailed were not, in my opinion, places where I would go. Nevertheless, their 'tourists' business was very intriguing, particularly with - did I mention - Twins?
One drawback to me seemed to be the length of time spent on discussion of mysticism, universe, intuition, artificial intelligence, etc...Maybe these will impact something in the third book but after awhile, I didn't see where it fit into the story. Backing up, of course, the whole story is somewhat mystical, but..
I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. And I believe the Part Three of the Trilogy has been published.
