Danger and Dragons

Author Craig Halloran's post-apocalyptic world in Flight from the Dominion is, as you might expect, a harsh and gritty place. The environment is difficult enough but the state of society, and the brutal nature of many of the survivors, makes life far more than just "hard" for young people trying to live a decent life. Halloran pulls no punches with his vision of the painful challenges facing his main characters in this devastated world.

A young person growing up in a crazy, brutal world faces hard questions. Who can you trust? Can you trust anybody? How can you be a good person when you are controlled by evil leaders who make your survival dependent on doing evil things?

A lot of speculative fiction novels for young adults gloss over such ethical questions. I applaud Craig Halloran for dealing with duch issues head on. He does an excellent job of this in Flight from the Dominion. It is well worth reading and I look forward to the rest of the series!

Strongly recommended!

GREAT STORY!!!!!

I don't know if you're a Craig Halloran fan or not but this story is quite original, as are all his stories.
Gabe is followed by trouble every where he lands. He has extra baggage and he wants her to remain safe. And he wants to be away from the Dominion!!!!!!
Things don't get by the Count which drives Gabe crazy........EVERYTHING Gabe does against the Dominion, the Count knows.
I do highly recommend this author and this story
I certainly hope you enjoy reading Mr. Halloran's works.

A Boy and His Dragon

I really enjoy these quick moving stories by Craig. The characters are interesting and the apocalyptic world grows larger with every book, slowly expanding over the storyline. I love the dragons and can't wait to see what new adventures come along.
