Sadly a disappointing book. Realised I’m not a fan of short stories, particularly as there doesn’t appear to be a point to several of the stories here. Also a sad undercurrent of desperate 30-something year old single women being described as ‘spinsters’ and ‘left on the shelf’ due to not having a man. Such a shame we still have this view nowadays…
This was a terrible book! A lot of the stories are a few pages long and nothing happens! The rest are very cliche. There are so many references to women needing a man and feeling desperate because they’re single at 30… behave! 🙄
