Electronic Workbook: Introduction to Attic Greek

This electronic workbook gives beginning students of Greek the practice and memorization drillls they need to master the language. It can be used with any beginning text as it is customized to fit student and instructor needs. The workbook has seven sections. A pronunciation guide explains the gives examples of the sounds of ancient Greek. The pronunciation practice section offers the student the opportunity to verbalize the language, again with audio examples and feedback. An accentuation tutorial includes enclitics and persistent and recessive accentuation, with practice drills. The fourth section is a customizable vocabulary drill, which can be altered by the instructor or student to add supplementary vocabulary to the practice exercises. Further practice sections, also customizable, address verb forms, noun forms and principal parts. The disks run on Macintosh PCs under System 6.04 or later, with a colour or greyscale monitor; System 7, 4 MB RAM, 030 processor or better is recommended.
