Blue skies. Bad vibes. Rip tides.

Devon is dead, but no one is celebrating. Crushed by grief over Em’s passing, Kris and her household struggle to move forward. A series of strange events—unnatural disasters, drug use, vandalism—has everyone on edge. When one of them triggers a memory better left buried, Kris can barely keep her head above water. Fortunately, her alter ego, Deathkill Kris, is ready to end the chaos for her.

Desperate to understand and fulfill her purpose, Kris dons black leather and goes on a mission that nearly destroys her. But that’s nothing compared to what’s to come: the rip tide that threatens to kill all love in her soul. Forever. Find out more at www.tideseries.com

My last name is pronounced Dick-ee (’nough said).

I left the lucrative-but-boring field of accounting to pursue my dream of having superpowers, or at least writing about superpowers.

I dig surfing (even though I’m not good at it). I also greatly enjoy needlepoint. Yes, needlepoint. It’s wicked relaxing (and tremendously embarrassing to admit)! I love reading and tend to bounce from one genre to another depending on my mood. Favorite authors are Christopher Moore, Janet Evanovich, Carl Hiassen, and Christopher Paolini to name a few. I live in the great Midwest with my man, two kids, and dogs.

Rip tide is expertly written by K. Dicke. The plot is imaginative and unique following a perfect pace, which is always important to me. I don't like when the story feels dragged out or I feel rushed reading it. This one hits it right on the head. This book follows tidal wave, but good news, you don't have to read the first one to understand this one since it can be read as a stand alone, but since both a very good books I would recommend reading both.

This book has some nice hidden twists I didn't see coming, and since I am usually pretty anticipating them I can really appreciate it if an author can pull those of, and well at that.

In this book the main characters go through some serious development which I enjoyed a lot. They grow with what they encounter in their next stage of life and it is nice to see the author giving them an additional dimension, making them more "real".

Kris and Jericho are still my favorite characters, and their life is still difficult, but they manage to deal and grow above it all. They too encounter some nice twists that I really enjoyed and didn't see coming. These two especially grow a lot in this story and I really liked how the author did that by incorporating the past and putting some nice twist on the present and aging a future I would have never seen coming!

I have to say this book is probably my favorite between the two and I hope there will be more. It will be interesting if the author will find an imaginative way to take this to the next level, but from what I have read do far I have no doubt that the author will be able to do so.

WOW! If you liked Spring Tide and Tidal Wave then you will be enthralled with Rip Tide. Rip Tide closed out the Tide Series in the exact manner I had hoped for. It had action, romance, and all of the twists and turns that I love in a good book. It was the perfect summer read!
