I tried. I really did. But after the rape scene I lost all focus. It wasn't necessary to further the plot to put the reader through that. Fade to black and deal with it later. I don't need to read about it though. That's cruel.

This is a follow up to Asset Management that she put out 2 years ago. I liked that one, it was all about kick ass women in a covert gang of ass kickary. The same started off this way in this book but I just can't get past it.

WOW! Tough subject matter. The out-to-do-the-right-thing-and-make-a-difference women are back and boy do they pack a punch. What kept me going was the hope that good and right would prevail. The story provides insight into Val and why she is the way she is. Based upon the insight, it is a wonder she is able to function day-to-day. What held my interest was the individual characters, the relationships, the humor, and how they had each others back.

This was exciting... I love bad arse lesbians fighting the good fight!

I didn't like the things that happened with the young girls though but I am grateful that it wasn't written in great detail and it was only implied.

Another Mori hit...

I really think this would make a great series. Again the storyline was beautifully written and the characters had me cracking up. I love my Ben and Jerry ice cream. Thank you Annette Mori for a great ride. I definitely recommend this book.

A gripping read!

Wow, what a story! This time it captures the rise and fall of one of the most feared mob bosses. His world is a world of cruelty, violence, money, extortion and a lot more illegal operations. The Organization is a group of powerful and brilliant women. They will need all their skills, fighting techniques and a perfect strategy to eliminate this mob boss. This story was spellbinding and the writing is superb. As in the previous book, the interaction between these women is phenomenal. The dialogues are full of humor and sarcasm. I loved the personal history of Val and Gina and how this has shaped them to the women they are now, two tough but also very vulnerable women. Altogether this is a fast paced, gripping, intriguing and nail biting story. It is certainly one of the best in this genre. I strongly recommend this book and brace yourself for a perfect romantic adventure.

I was gifted by the author with a copy of this novel for an unbiased review. No money changed hands, Ms. Mori did not ply me with promises of chocolate or putting my children though school...just the book.

And it is a welcome one. The Organization, the sequel to Asset Management, is comprised of a group of woman bent on getting back at the evildoers in this world, mainly mafioso types, sex traffickers, and other assorted scumbags. Val, Toni and Dani are back, and they're just as badass as ever. Their target is an utter scumbag whose wife is his only prized possession, and Val finds herself not only guarding her, but also becoming involved with her. Will this affect her mission? Will Val survive? Her target is ruthless and commits murder as easily as anyone else would squish an ant.

There is a rape scene--sort of a spoiler--and I questioned myself whether it was really necessary to have it in there in pretty graphic detail. I've read more horrid descriptions, so that might be an issue with some. Fair warning. In the end, I decided that it was necessary, although it could have been a fade-to-black kinda deal. Writer's choice, after all, but it might put some people off.

What I liked most about the book was the sense of ribald humor and the sharp characterizations. Ms. Mori's writing is as deft as ever, and this novel is highly recommended.

I don't want to say I feel cheated but I do! I was so looking forward to Dani's and Candy's possible relationship, and to no only have one mention of their none relationship, that I would have giving this book 1 one star only. The redeeming factor is of course that badass, high pumping adrenaline rush of taking down the Russian bothers.

I started reading these books because I stumbled on to "compound interest" book and in the notes from the author it spoke about there being other books that led to this as being the final and closing one, that I had no choice but to go back and start reading from the 1st book. I am now on to the Thanksgiving Baby Caper and hope it that one Dani takes center stage to the storyline.

Excellent sequel to Asset Management

Its ALL about getting to know Val in this sequel expanding on the Asset Management story.

I hope that this will become an ongoing series that focuses on each if these women individually so that we get the opportunity to learn more about them & their stories.

Another great read from Ms Mori. Plenty of action and the team certainly are kick-ass. Great to see more of the team that we meet in Asset Management. They are back with a vengeance and stronger of that is even possible. Great story line, love the characters and the pace is perfect. I have to double check which book comes next and continue on the journey with these characters. If memory serves me correct it ties in with another series by the author.

Highly recommend reading if you like action/adventure and some kick-ass women.

The only word i could come up with EXTRODINARY

A fast paced book that brings back old favorites from Asset Management. These women are the badasses of badasses. Toni and Dani are supernerds that you grow to love. Val has a lot of skeletons in her closet and it spring cleaning. The two vilians are nasty as the come. Another outstabdinding book by Rainbow Affinity that you cant put down and you dont want it to end.

great series

First you should read these in order it’s just better. You can check the publishing dates or publisher. Asset Management, the first one, gets you acquainted with the most wonderful group of badass women you wished were real. I’m reading these in 2025 and they get me through the daily sh@t show of the USA. Action, engaging characters, great story and romance. And great authors

Waiting for the next installment

This sequel to Asset Management proves that there is much more story to tell of these amazing women.

The story was thrilling, tender, heart wrenching, hopeful and just all around a joy to read.

And there better be another one.

It is very rare that a sequel stands up to the original book, Asset Management, but this one does. It is full of action and badass women. Annette really knows how to spin a story and suck you in.
