In 2016, the Church in Taiwan commemorated its sixtieth anniversary of the arrival of the first Mormon missionaries. This book vividly recounts the contribution of American missionaries among the people in Taiwan and the sacrifice of early Chinese pioneers to help establish the restored gospel of Jesus Christ among their own people. It shares not only a comprehensive overview but also rich, personal stories of faith and devotion, encompassing the sixty-year history of the remarkable growth and development of the Church in Taiwan.
I loved reading about the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taiwan where my dad served a mission and where my mom grew up. It was fun to read about events I had heard of and even participated in.
The book is about the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Taiwan. I served as a missionary for this church in Taiwan in the 80's. I found the book absolutely marvelous. Since I knew of lot of the people mentioned in the book and I understood the history of the growth of the church in Taiwan, I found the book very inspirational.
