I'll screw any woman I want, even the enemy.

As a sniper in the military, I shot on sight.
But now the only thing I have eyes for is Brooklyn, the new bartender at PJ's.
Her curvy hips, those pouty lips, I want to touch every inch of her skin.
I'll bend her over my bike and show her how a Bad Disciple really rides.
But Brooklyn is hiding something. A secret that could rip us and the club apart.
I killed her brother overseas. And now it haunts me in our streets.
I’ll convince Brooklyn to stay with me.
I never miss a target, and this time the bullseye is her heart.

Combustive Chemistry!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍
Character development: 😤😥😊🤩

The heroine: Brooklyn - She is a bartender at a local bar and she is trying to get over the loss of her brother. Her father and now her brother are no longer alive and were members of the Dragon Knights MC so the Motorcycle Club looks out for Brooklyn and assumes she is part of the club though she really has no interest in the club.

The Hero: Gunner - a commander and sniper in the military in Afghanistan. Feels a lot of guilt when one of his men, Jensen, stepped on a land mine and was killed since he and Jensen were ribbing each other during shooting practice and he and Jensen made a bet when Jensen walked out and stepped on a mine. Now that he is home, he still has nightmares of the day Jensen died. Gunner is now a member of the Bad Disciples MC whom are rivals of the Dragon Knights.

The Story: Brooklyn often gets hit on while working at the bar, but she can’t remember the last time she was interested in a man. Viper from the Dragon Nights just won’t seem to get the hint, and though she was attracted to him, she had no interest in him that way, she saw him as more of an older brother since hers died. She new that as a little sister of the MC, she would one day be expected to be with one of the members, and she thinks Viper somehow called dibs on her.

After patching in to the Bad Disciples MC, which had been his father and brothers MC before they died, Gunner stops by a local dive bar and sees Brooklyn, whom he is immediately attracted to. Brooklyn likewise thinks Gunnar may have walked right off the cover of a Men’s Health magazine. She can’t remember the last man that affected her that way. Things happened fast between them from there.

When rumors of the Dragon Knights operating a sex trafficking ring abound, the Bad Disciples are determined to keep that type of business out of their town. That sets up the main conflict in the story. The chemistry between Gunner and Brooklyn was explosive from the first time they laid eyes on each other. The story moved very fast, but I liked it.

The book was told in both Gunner and Brooklyn’s points of view and via dual narration. The narrators were Joe Arden and Samantha Cook who both did a great job. Joe’s voice is manly and works well for the ex-military biker. Samantha has a soft clear voice that was perfect for Brooklyn.

Savannah Rylan is a talented writer and delivers an excellent story. This one is about Gunner, a soldier returning from Afghanistan, and Brooklyn, a young woman tending bar at one of his old watering holes. Each is affiliated with rival MC clubs (without knowing it) and their sexual chemistry is off the charts when they meet. Both clubs are into illegal activities, and for me, this causes a moral dilemma. How can these be wonderful characters? Well, because this is fiction! The author delivers a hard-hitting romance and suspense that punches you in the gut. This book is intended for mature readers because of language and sexual conduct. While I enjoyed this story, certain aspects were uncomfortable to my sense of right and wrong. Still, I rated it a 4-star read for the quality of writing and plot development.

Ok read. Short though. Things seemed to resolve quickly with some unanswered questions. Forgiveness galore. MC business was ok.

Will read the next.

3.5 stars. Solidly written story with a surprisingly twisty plot. I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Really, really liked Gunner a lot and the chemistry between him and Brooklyn was off the charts. The only downside for me was that while I know this was Gunner and Brooklyn's story the next books in the series are about other members of the MC and none of them were really developed at all. I'd have liked them to be more than just names at this point.

All in all though, an enjoyable, action packed, steamy romance with some heart pounding moments and a super satisfying ending. Must read for fans of MC romance or those who like their romances a little darker. I received a copy of this book and have chosen to post this review.

This is a great start to an MC romance series. I can't wait for more of these stories, including Hunter's

Gunner finds himself back home after being honorably discharged from the military. Both his father and his brother were members of the MC, but does Gunner want that life. However, he finds himself being drawn into the life once he realizes the rival MC is trafficking women, not something he can stand by and watch.

Brooklyn is still dealing with the loss of her brother, so the MC has taken her in and is keeping an eye out for her since her father and brother are no longer alive to do so. However, Brooklyn doesn't fancy of any of her family's MC members. One night she meets Gunner and is instantly attracted to him in ways she has never felt below.

But why do they know some of the same people and have the same warnings towards each other. Will their rival MC clubs get in the way of their love? Can Gunner and Brooklyn save each other?

This story is sexy, filled with drama, full of twists and turns, lots of chemistry and very entertaining. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

This is my first read by this author. The story was a good read with the instant attraction and emotional connection between the 2 main characters. I could almost feel the heat radiating off my kindle from this story. There is lots of drama and excitement as well as great romance. The story line definitely kept my interest without the se scenes being overdone. I could not put this book down once I started it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys MC romances

Gunner by Savannah Rylan a fab four star read. This is the first book in the Bad Disciples MC series and what a start, it’s also my first Savannah Rylan and it will not be my last, she wrote a broken man in Gunner whom you couldn’t help but fall a little in love with and want to be there to fix him and put him back together.
Gunner Alton he returns from military service full of guilt and pain, and when he sees a chance to be closer to his father and brother who are sadly passed by joining their MC it seems like a great option, plenty of fighting and opportunities for a man like him. When he meets a woman sparks fly, and when it turns out that she has also lost people they have a lot in common and it seems to be going good, but life isn’t smooth and easy flowing and just like Romeo and Juliet before them they have a mountain in front of them that will need to be moved for them to be together.
This story is filled with drama and intrigue, there are lies and chemistry that will have explosions popping up everywhere. If you like MC romance then this will be just your cup of tea.

didn't really like this book. not sure about the role of legacies in MC life but in every MC Romance I have read it isn't this. Males are not expected to join and just patched in without prospecting. Daughters don't have to stay and can only date patched members. This story is a Romeo and Juliet book or I should say more Westside Story without the song and dance.

The authors writing style didn't really bring you in except for during flashback episodes. You have insta-love kind-of. They want each other more than anyone else, etc... Just didn't feel it.

Not bad

The storyline had good ideas, the characters are well developed. The only drawback is the dialogue could be more well thought out

This is a short novella, that could have gone on and on.

Gunner, was in the military, as a sniper, was honorably discharged, and is now back in the civilian life. He doesn't know what to do with his life exactly. His father and brother were members of the Bad Disciples MC Biker club. He's been recently added into the club as a member. However, he's still not sure what his role with the Bad Disciples is.

Brooklyn, works at a local diner, and a bar, PJ's. Brooklyn is still dealing with the loss of her brother, so the MC has taken her in and is keeping an eye out for her since her father and brother are no longer alive to do so. However, Brooklyn doesn't fancy of any of her family's MC members. She is feeling down because of the recent death of her brother and also a little bit claustrophobic because of the constant "guardianship" of Dragon Knights (DK).

Gunner comes into PJ's one night and see's Brooklyn working. It's closing time, and they only have eyes for each other. Gunner tells Brooklyn to tell him to stop, but, she wants him as much as he wants her. Brooklyn Jenson has never met a man like Gunner; sexy, rough, and protective, but also gentle and caring on the inside. Gunner sees the same sadness in Brooklyn’s eyes and learns she’s still reeling from the loss of her brother. Gunner is with one MC Club and Brooklyn is in another MC Club. Gunner tells her to get away from the club, but, she refuses. Gunner knows that the DK has a prostitution ring that they are trying to bust and doesn't want her to get hurt.

Can Gunner save Brooklyn from her MC club friends / family? Will Gunner stay in his MC Club?

Star-crossed lovers MC style

Gunner Alton is back in town after his tour in Afghanistan. Guilt over the death of a close friend and fellow soldier, Gunner is plagued with depression and nightmares. Feeling adrift, it takes no time for the family legacy to catch wind he’s in town. Bad Disciples MC, his father and brother’s MC club, wants Gunner as a full fledged member, and they’re the last group of people he can call family. A chance meeting between Gunner and Brooklyn invites instant attraction and ends with sizzling sex after hours at the bar she works.

Brooklyn Jenson has never met a man like Gunner; sexy, rough, and protective, but also gentle and caring on the inside. Gunner sees the same sadness in Brooklyn’s eyes and learns she’s still reeling from the loss of her brother. Both Gunner and Brooklyn have no idea they have ties to rival MC gangs until later. Brooklyn’s grateful for the Dragon Knights MC, the club her father founded, but with the passing of her dad and brother, the club members have other ideas in illicit dealings. And she’s finding their protection is not in her best interest any longer.

The plot is intriguing and suspenseful, and I love how Ms. Rylan weaves the common factors between Gunner and Brooklyn. Their lives are entwined entwined than they thought. Gunner is the first book in the Bad Disciples series, and a great start.

I received and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I voluntarily received this ARC for an honest  review.

At first I was skeptical about a book involving motorcycle clubs. But girl, I have to tell you it was worth it! This book is thrilling and sexy!!!

Gunner is an ex military man, that has PTSD because the dead of a fellow army man that as he says "he was responsible of". He is now retaired and home, but home is being part of the Bad Disciples MC club. One night in which he is avoiding the BD he go to a bar that he used to frecuent before the army and meets the bartender. The meeting is a little bit weird and sexy and pushy and naughty! They end up having their wicked way on the bar before leaving to Gunners house.

Brooklyn is a part time dinner waitress during the day and a part time bartender during the night. Her father and brother are now both dead and she is alone in the world, except for the Dragon Knights MC club, in which both father and brother were members. She is feeling down because of the recent death of her  brother and also a little bit claustrophobic because of the constant "guardianship" of DK.  One night she meets this man that is everything she is needing at that point in her life.

They start seeing each other till things start complicating. They did not know who they were, but there is no turning back for them.

I love a good MC book and this story didn't disappoint.
Gunner is returning to his hometown after being in the military. He ha lost his father and brother and he has guilt because a member of the company he was responsible for was killed. His guilt is all he can focus on until the MC that his father and brother were a part of asks him to join. While he didn't think he ever would he now realizes they are his only family.
Brooklyn is just existing. She lost her father a while ago and just recently lost her beloved brother - Luke. She is grateful for the MC club that she grew up in keeping tabs on her but she starting to feel closed in by them. She can't think of anything but her misery over the loss of her brother.
When these two broken souls meet the chemistry is immediate and the attraction is off the charts. They use the attraction to help them forget their sadness.
When they discover that they are from rival MCs will their happy world come crumbling down? Will Brooklyn believe Gunner when he tells her a secret about her beloved MC? What about when she finds out how Gunner and her brother are connected?
This is a good MC story. And the reader can see how Gunner and Brooklyn have hot chemistry but also how they help the other heal.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.

Gunner was a sniper overseas and enjoyed the military until one of his men stepped on a land mine. His friend set off the mine before Gunner could help him and Gunner feels responsible. Now Gunner is out and dealing with his guilt. He is asked to join the MC that both his dad and his older brother lived and died for. It was never Gunner's dream but he needs something so he joins the Bad Disciples.
Going home that night he stops by PJ's bar and sees a sexy bartender. He instantly wants Brooklyn and starts to make his move.
Brooklyn has recently lost both her father and her brother. They were leaders to a rival MC. Brooklyn knows it is her duty to hook up with a member of their MC and provide future members. However she doesn't want any of them. She wants Gunner. However there is now hope for them to be together because of the gangs rivalry.
This is a book with some twist and turns. It is about secrets. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Gunner keeps having nightmares from his time in the war. He feels guilty for the death of one of his men. When he gets discharged he is back home trying to decide what is next. He gets called to the club and out of the blue decides to join the MC. Even though he never wanted to be a part of his father and brothers MC he has no direction in his life at the moment so goes for it.
Brooklyn is trying to just get by from losing her brother. The MC is her family but they control literally everything she does. She doesn't even realize that she has become their property and that one of them plan on claiming her regardless if she agrees or not.
When she sees Gunner walking in the bar she instantly wants him. They hook up without realizing who they are to each other. Things escalate pretty quickly and then a war breaks out.
I am a bit confused as to what happened to Viper. He was alive when the police showed up but he wasn't mentioned again even though they left with him shouting threats that he was coming for them. The ending was abrupt and left you wondering what was next.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I enjoyed all the characters. I was sad that Brooklyn had lose her dad and brother. Gunner lose his friend. Anyway this was really great book. Brooklyn what's friends with The Dragon Knights MC a rival of The Bad Disciples MC that Gunner was member of. Therefore that caused some problems with their relationship when they found out about the situation. Anyway Gunner found out some bad stuff about the Dragon Knights and tried to inform Brooklyn. But Brooklyn didn't want to believe him at first. When she figured out he was telling the truth it was a little too late because they were going to make her a working girl. Gunner had to rescue her and they took care of those nasty Dragon Knights so everything turned out alright with Brooklyn and Gunner. This was a really great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

This book is the definition of a small world. Not only do the two main characters happen to live in the same town their entire lives, but they also share love for the same person. A brotherly love, both mourning him without either of them knowing. It's a wild ride. But if you like MC's, its good. Is quick and fast paced.

Gunner is a Vet returning from Afghanistan; he's suffering from ptsd, trying to find a place in the world. Coming home, he becomes one of the Bad Disciples. His father was a member and former president. He was fully patched in the moment he agreed to join. It wasn't until he found his curvy bartender.

Brooklyn was mourning the loss of her father and her brother. Stuck in a town because of who she was. Treated as property. All the wanted to do was be free and make her own choices. It took her awhile to learn who she was really associating with. Thankfully she had a strong biker to keep her safe and rescue her.

This was cute. I enjoyed it.

Very fast paced and intense story. Caught me from first chapter.
This novel is well written and is a hot read. Brooklyn and Gunners chemistry is overwhelming and steaming.
The story is full of drama, suspense, chemistry, hot scenes and very intense reading. The characters are complex but you still just have to like them and wish their insta love will succeed. Their past has them filled with grief of the loss of the people they loved and they have to work this out before they can go on. Their grief is for the same man, Luke, her brother and Gunners team mate in Afghanistan.
There are lots of things going on in this novel: rivaling families, MC issues, illegal actions and a lot more. A story that keeps you reading until the last page just to find out, what happens next.
Worth recommending.

I am voluntarily leaving a review after reading an ARC.

Hm, well the story was interesting. It didn't really match the blurb above but I felt the characters were underdeveloped. Especially the rival gang, they were portrayed as protective of the h then did a 180. I find it hard to believe she wouldn't have know they were such dirtbags.
The h was immature for someone in her mid 20's.
A LOT of spelling and grammar issues and even getting a characters name wrong multiple times in one scene.
Someone mentioned in a review that it was odd that the h had no girlfriends, not even co-workers or old ladies from the MC. I was strange.
Ends around 50% and an unrelated story is included (which I'm passing on).
I downloaded all three for free on KU and I'm going to give the next one a try and see if it improves.

Not for me.

The first in an MC series, Gunner is an insta lust/love story between Brooklyn and Gunner who are associated with rival Motorcycle clubs and share an unknown connection. It is a fast paced, quick read.

I found this to have a different feel than other MC series I have read, and unfortunately it didn't appeal to me.

There were a few continuity/editing issues such as characters names changing or the wrong character being referenced. These things brought me out of the story.

At the end of the day, I just didn't connect to the characters, storyline or writing style. I won't be proceeding with the series.

Wrong!

On so many levels, this book tried to romanticize the unromantic!!!! I like a good angst driven biker but I don't like the way the author attempted to make dealing in drugs and weapons a way of making money that didn't hurt women and children! Have you read the headlines over the past 30 years? Weapons are used against women and children daily. Drugs hurt families. Pass this one by. I couldn't get past the 7th chapter. Having a bunch of gun running, drug dealing bikers act all sanctimonious because they are not involved in prostitution makes no sense to me. There is no good about any of it

They both have histories that are better left in the past. But past meets present when two bike clubs cross paths. Are they willing to forgive and forget, or will the past be too much for them? I loved how they had instant chemistry and were willing to forgo everything for that kind of pleasure. Once they got past all the lies, deceit, and trust issues, they were able to show their love for each other. It was a love they thought they would never see or deserved. I absolutely loved this book. This was a very well written MC story that captures the life and emotions of a vet who has seen death and the worst side of humanity in a war zone. Gunner returns after being discharged from the military and returns to the one family he has ever known. He is accepted for his faults. Then he meets her the one person he doesn't feels will never forgive him for the life that was lost on his watch.
This was a really good read, with the instant attraction and emotional connection that makes your heart clench. I voluntarily read a copy of this book and it was good.
