After a night of epic sex, he left a thank-you note on my night-side table!
Imagine my surprise on moving day when I discover my one-night stand is now my new neighbor, Nate.
Last weekend, the hot NYPD officer gave me the night of my life. He looks almost as handsome in uniform as out of uniform. I wait for him to say something like... 'You were amazing.' Or 'What a night'. Or maybe, 'Dinner? My place?'
Sounds reasonable, right? After all, Nate left me hoarse from screaming his name, and aching from doing it in every position known to man. He also left me without a goodbye. Just a note. A freaking thank-you note. So, maybe I shouldn't be too surprised when he eyes me up and down and says three very different words.
'Have we met?'
Bastard. That's what I thought for a second.
But, it turns out Officer Casanova has a twin brother. Darrin.
Nate didn't forget me. In fact, he has plans for me, plans that include his brother and both of them having their dirty, wicked way with me. These gorgeous, sexy, demanding men want to share me. Sounds like a girl's dream come true, right? But what if a time comes when I have to choose?
** Note ** This is a hot summer menage read featuring two sexy cops and the woman who gained their affections, with no cheating, NO Cliffhangers and a HEA. Also included in this novel are the bonus novels of Failure to Stop and Forbidden Indulgences.
This was a little bit too realistic for my tastes. I prefer my menage books on the unrealistic side, without too much talk, jealousy and stuff like that.
I’m being generous with rounding this one up. The story is weak and the characters were flat. It worked for a challenge and was a quick read. I didn’t hate the characters so I did round up but it’s definitely not a book I would recommend. Read at your own risk.
After a one night stand, Layla receives the shock of her life when she realizes that the man was a twin and now both reside in her building. Nate has one rule, no more than one night. Darrin was sure that he would never find love again. Both want Layla, but can the form a truce? Will all three get their happy ever after together?
Hot read! Loved how this was a first time for both the brothers to share, but yet once they start it works out. I was surprised it took that long for any jealousy to form, but was happy the brothers worked it out and were determined to find a way to keep their trio together. I was happy when Layla put her foot down and so both or none. Definitely recommend this for twin and menage lovers!

This is my first time reading this author. It was a good story and I enjoyed the adventure. I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for the author losing some of the details. One scene Layla is dressed in a robe, during the same scene she is now in a blouse and skirt. That type of error occurred a few times and it pulled you away from the story. I liked both Darrin and Nate for their different personalities. I thought Darrin should have caught on to Layla's mistaken identity, but it was an avenue for the author to bring them together. The ending felt a little rushed and would have liked to see the scene play out before the end. If you get it for 99 cents or less, give it a try. Bonus book, Forbidden Indulgence. I wrote review under that title, since I read this before as a bonus book in another book and didn't realize it. Bonus book, Failure to Stop. Quick, fun, sexy read. Devon was fun and sexy. loved his easy going banter with Violet. Kind of getting tired of the "only hearing part of a conversation and running off" scene from books. This was a nice addition to this book.
"The Brothers Next Door" is the last book I read in March. Yes, it is sexy time, but for me, it is a 2.5-stars because there was a lot of miss-communication between all parties. Notably, on the menage part, usually, that kind of relationship the communication part is significant. The ending felt a little rushed and would have liked to see the scene play out before the end. I have a hard time liking a woman who is too afraid to speak up for herself. I might try to read other works by Terry Towers, but it will take me some time.

I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Thus, I hate to rate it so poorly (but it was definitely not my thing). I will admit that I didn’t think it was a romance with a HEA going into it, just more of a sexy short story. However, at the end they’re talking about marriage and babies, which I was not ready for.
First, there is the improbability of the entire threesome situation with twin brothers. I feel like most twins would be creeped out by having a threesome with each other (even if it is MFM), let alone being in a long-term relationship all together.
Next, given that this was actually a romance, there was no buildup or real story behind it all, then suddenly they’re all in love with each other.
Also, I feel like given the little we know about the h, she just isn’t the kind of person who would really go for a one night stand, beg for anal, and then want to be part of a threesome. Maybe that’s just me. I get that this is erotic fiction, so the actual meat and logic of the story weren’t the priority, but still.
Lastly, there were some really awkward word choices in places that made it seem like the book was written by a non-native English speaker using google translate. In most cases I could guess what it should’ve said (example: “fruity CONCOCTION” instead of “fruity CONTRAPTION”), just it was still jarring to hear.
As for the audio, it was not so great. The recording didn’t sound very high quality and there were some random long pauses and repeated lines. The narrator’s voice also just wasn’t very sexy, which didn’t do the book any favors. She also said a few words wrong, the worst of which (at least for me) was reconcile, which was unfortunately said repeatedly near the end.
Layla has just broken up with her fiance after catching him having sex with his secretary. She has quit her job as an accountant in Bangor and has moved back to NYC. She is out with her best friend who is convinced that the best way to get over a man is to get under another one. Layla is unsure but she is ready for some hot and steamy playtime. Their conversation is overheard by Nate a police detective and playboy. He is all about giving a woman a fine time for one night and he keeps his promise for a hot time but Layla wakes up in the morning with a cool thank you note. Layla is finally able to move into the condo she bought and during her move in she sees Nate but he ignores her. Over the next week she sees him multiple times since he lives next door but he still gives her the cold shoulder. Then outside her apartment Nate finally greets her and asks her out the next day. Through some funny misunderstanding she comes to realize that Nate has a brother Darrin who lives next her. That misunderstanding leads to a date with both brothers and she has a grand time. She tells Nate that in a perfect world she could date both of them Nate and Darrin have a problem. Both of them like Layla and want to date her but neither wants to betray his brother. Layla's comment about dating both of them has them thinking that maybe they can share her. This is a good book with some hot playtime. I really enjoyed both the brothers. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
This was a good romance story. Yes it was a M/M/F romance but different. Twin brothers fall for the same girl who doesn't know that they are twins. But love is love and a person has a lot of love to give when given the chance. Overview. Layla went out to a club with her friend Misty in hopes of finding a one night stand. Layla meets Nate an NYPD officer. They hit it off. 2 days later, Layla moves to a new building. In the elevator she see Nate, or so she thought. He didn't say anything to her. A few days later she runs into Nate in the hallway and he starts talking to her and decides they need a real date. Layla agrees. But when she gets home that night she sees Nate, and goes to his place and invites herself in. But it wasn't Nate it was Darrin's place. He thinks his new neighbor is just hitting on him. But when she kisses him he is shocked and looking forward to date night she mentioned on the way out the door. Both brothers show up to take her out. She is shocked they were twins. They both take her out. They enjoy the date and decide to try a 3 way relationship until true feeling. Then they will need to decide where this relationship is going to go.
I enjoyed this story. It has an easy flow and feel good vibe to it. Layla has moved back to New York and goes out with her friend and meets Nate, who she then sleeps with. She moves shortly after that and then runs into "Nate" and is given the cold shoulder. She already wasn't impressed with the thank you note that was left the morning after and now he acts like he doesn't even know her and he's her next door neighbor. She then finds out that it's Nate's twin brother, Darrin, after Nate has convinced her to let him take her out on a date. There were a few mix ups between the twins in the beginning, but after that Layla seems to be able to figure out which one is which. I liked the way that the story flowed. It had plenty to be entertaining and keep me reading and engaged. There's not a whole bunch of action but the story didn't need it. The sex is explicit and fits the characters and story perfectly. It's m/f/m. This was a quick, easy, fun read for me. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Layla’s moved from Maine back to her native New York, leaving behind an ex-fiancé. Out for a night on the town with her friend, who has convinced her it’s okay to have no strings attached sex following a boring, sporadic sex life, Layla hooks up with the amazing Nate. After a spectacular night, Layla’s not expecting to see him again as her next door neighbour…who ignores her! Nate’s twin Darrin thinks his new neighbour has something to hide. Like his brother, he serves in the NYPD. This very hot tale highlights the closeness of two brothers trying to balance their relationship with that of the woman they are falling in love with, and finding closure with their pasts. I loved the characters, how the brothers are different but are warm, caring, vulnerable. Best devoured in one sitting! I am a huge fan of Ms Towers and absolutely loved this book.
I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
Oh to have Layla’s dilemma. Her fiancé cheated on her sending her back to New York City to start over. Her best friend convinces her that the best way to get over a man is to get under another one. She meets Nate and has an incredible night only to be met with a goodbye note in the morning. When she moves into her new apartment, she is completely surprised to see him again but he ignores her as if he doesn’t know her. What she ends up with is 2 sexy twin brothers that live in the same building and both are attracted to her. Nate and Darrin have a dilemma, can they share a woman? Darrin is surprised when Nate wants to pursue a relationship with Layla, he has always been the one and done guy. But Darrin has some ghosts in his past that seem to be blocking him from completely opening up with Layla. I loved this fun and sexy ride as this threesome work to build a relationship. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Does anyone know if this storyline will be continued? Overall, I found this to be a pretty enjoyable read; however, this could've used a good bit more editing for grammatical errors, continuity of heroes' characterizations, scene changes (as in characters wearing one type of clothing in one scene and suddenly wearing something else in the same scene - it's also the same thing with the positioning of the characters), and very few/minor plot holes (that'll hopefully be filled in a following book). The cover art for this book needs to be changed. The heroine is described almost exactly the opposite of the woman on the cover (pale with long, dark hair and dark eyes). I truly enjoyed this book - just putting some of my nagging observations out there to hopefully be taken as constructive feedback.
Layla has one of the hottest nights of her life with Nate and wakes up with him gone and a thank you note beside the bed and. Imagine her surprise when her new neighbor turns out to be Nate or so she thinks. She is crushed when he looks at her and says “Have we met”. She is relieved when she finds out that it's his twin brother Darrin. Finding herself attracted to both she soon finds herself in a menage situation with two of the hottest NYC police officers. Then the drama and suspense begins. Who are the black skulls, who is Gabriella, who wants kids. A well written book with captivating characters and an engaging storyline. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the first book by Terry Towers that I have read and I will be looking for more! What an amazingly hot story about two brothers and a woman. What's hotter than finding a sexy Man at the club and taking him home for a seriously wild night? Finding out he has a twin brother!! Terry Towers writes a hot menage story that's not all rainbows and butterfly. He shows the issues and emotional turbulence that comes with that kind of relationship. Great story!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Nate and Darrin = 10/5 Heroine, Layla = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 15/5 Plot = 3/5 Mystery = 2/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = all three Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
This is the first by Terry Towers for me and I can assure you it certainly will not be the last. I started this on a lazy Sunday and flew through it as I needed just one more page....Terry's skill as an author hooks you into the story and immerses you fully in the characters she expertly and masterfully creates to navigate her unique and interesting tale.
Nate and Darrin are yin and yang but boy when they fit together with Layla...sparks and intensity flies and the circle is complete. Of course, this isn't your typical twin ménage romance but has suspense and drama as well as the sexy! It reels you in and satisfies you in more ways than one!
This one is a must!

Once again, Terry Towers has written an enjoyable menage romance. And certainly found a great way to get over a breakup, hot twins! While Layla wasn't exactly setting out for a relationship, certainly not with two men, she was looking for a fun night out. After a steamy night, Nate leaves a note on the nightstand with a thank you that certainly doesn't thrill Layla. Then when he completely ignores her the next day, she is pissed. Little does she know there are actually two identical hot men in her new building. Maybe things in Layla's life are improving.
Darren and Nate are identical twins. Nate hooks up with Layla and they have a 1 night stand. She moves into their building and she thinks Darren is Nate and wondering why he’s giving her the cold shoulder. Some interesting things happen, and they decide to both date her. I liked the turmoil of this situation. Many ménage stories start with the men doing this regularly, but this was new to them. It had good emotion and some sexy times. However, I wanted more sex! And I wanted more story too! Overall a great book, but it left me wanting more of these hotties
I was given a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
The narration sounded like it was recorded in a tunnel, best way for me to describe the distortion that I experienced.
The story itself was okay, except for how unrealistic it was for the misunderstanding to go when two of these people are cops, and no one is using the common sense God gave them. The powers of deduction were not used with any of these people.
I have a hard time liking a woman who is too afraid to speak up for herself. If I had seen a man I slept with and he acted like I didn't? Let's just say we would have realized right away what was going on.
This book was delicious to read especially if you like MFM romances. This one had the added spin of the brothers being identical twins and cops. She had a hot one-night stand, and he left her a note. She then sees him days later when she moves into her new apartment only, he gives her the cold shoulder. Imagine her confusion. What starts with a mistaken identity ends with a girl possibly getting lucky with two hot guys. But can they make it work without anyone getting jealous? Is it all fun and games or will it lead to something serious? Is her ex- really her ex? Have fun reading to find the answers. I really didn't want the book to end.
Layla hit the jackpot when she met Nate: his twin, Darrin is just as hot and sexy as his brother! She wasn’t looking for a relationship, but she found herself being the center of attention: shared, cared for, and loved. This is my first Terry Towers book and I loved the heat, the emotional connection, and how realistic their relationship and story was. She created an explicitly written menage that reflected Nate’s confidence as a lover and Darrin’s grief over his fiancée death. I loved how the brothers communicated with each other and with Layla.: a beautiful love story filled with trust, passion, and stamina!
Layla moved back to NYC after finding her fiancé in bed with his secretary, she goes out clubbing with her best friend and meets Nate. They hit it off and have a ONS, thinking they’ll never see one another again. Layla moves in to her new apartment and guess who lives next door? Her ONS, but he acts like he has no idea who she is. That Is because He is not Nate, but rather Nate’s identical twin brother.
This story concept had a lot of promise, but instead of a great read, it was rushed storylines, lots of errors and a very abrupt ending. All of that coupled with the continuity errors means I can only give it two stars.
There is not much to say about this book. I just loved it. A sweet, steaming hot story about a woman and her two sexy neighbors. The story line is fun and hot. The scenes are well written and so is the story. It is a great read about Layla and her neighbors who turns out to be twins, Nate and Darrin. The twins are alpha males and of course cops. There are kinky scenes in this book, so if you are into that it is a must read. I can only recommend it for an evening read.

Not only one but two hot NYPD officers to call your own. Who wouldn't be over the moon. A hot short read from Terry Towers that is full of fun and lots of steamy MFM scenes. What happens when a one night stand turns to love and you find the guy next door is his twin brother and you have just invited yourself in and laid a big x rated kiss on him? Well things start to heat up. Will they work out this shaky beginning or is it all over before it begins? You will need to read it to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Layla was looking for a one night stand, but didn’t expect a note the next morning instead of a warm male body. Upon moving and seeing a familiar face she also doesn’t expect to be treated like they had never met. To Layla’s surprise mister one night stand is a twin, Nate and Darrin. Layla is attracted to both and can’t decide between the brothers and neither brother wants to part with her. Sexy fun and panty wetting scenes will keep you listening, to this MFM romance. Thank you Terry Powers and F-A-F-Y for gifting me this audible book for a fair and honest review.
The Brothers Next Door (A Striker Brothers Romance) by Terry Towers This is Layla, Nate, and Darrin's story.
This is a fun read with some really funny moments that lead to Layla, Nate, and Darrin dating each other. As time goes on their relationship begins to change. Will the three be able to work out a solution?
A fun and steamy romance. If you are into ménage (MFM), you will enjoy this read.
FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Not your typical MFM story. There was some initial confusion that was eventually cleared up for Layla.
The interesting twist on this tale was that the brothers had never done anything like that before. The fact that they looked alike but brought different personalities into the relationship also made the story more interesting. The discussions on how they were going to make the relationship work, were also unique.

Amazing story! Identical twins! Wow! The plot was interesting. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout. I have hooked from the very beginning! I loved the characters. They were easily relatable and well-developed. The chemistry between the trio was off the charts. You could really feel it throughout the story. I loved the author's style of writing.
