“I could claim you here, right now, as is my right as your Mate,” Nikolai said.
“I would hate you for it,” Alexandra spoke again. His heat intensified through her body and she couldn’t suppress the small whimper escaping her lips. She wanted to give in to him, kiss him senseless and have him fuck her against the wall just to alleviate the heavy ache between her thighs that’d started from the moment she entered the ballroom.
Alexandra Trask is a wolf-shifter mated to Nikolai Rurikovich, Alpha of the CyrillicMoon Pack. However, a curse cast long ago by an angry Vanir witch alters Alexandra and with it her destiny. She has no choice but to reject, Nikolai, her True Mate on sight in favor of Kirill, a Vampire and Vanir-god. If left unchecked, her union to Kirill will reignite the First War between the Vanir-gods of Vanaheim and the Aesir-gods of Asgard.
Alexandra and Nikolai must reverse the Vanir curse and fall in love before the November Frost Moon. Unfortunately, with the curse blocking Alexandra’s and Nikolai’s emotions and transforming any feelings of attraction into antipathy and anger, falling in love in ten days is easier said than done.
The story line was good, I enjoyed it. The protagonist created most of her own drama but after many eye rolls the end explained it all.
So why 3 stars?
1) there is a cliffhanger. As an avid reader I like to know ahead of time that the book I'm reading is going to suddenly stop... I need to prepare if that makes sense.
2) Pretty sure that this version is not the final version. The pages dont match, there are many highlighted sections and links that lead to what needs to be corrected.
It was a long winded story that ended on a cliffhanger. I am a little disappointed in the time I invested in reading it. However, I thought there would be a resolution at the end. I am not interested in reading the continuation of the story either. This first story was frustrating, and I am not even sure how it qualifies as romance.
I purchased this book because both parties were fighting against being mates but it was so much more. I didn't know what would happen from one page to the next. I realized that there was no way this story could conclude with just one part.
I'm loving this series thus far. The back and forth between Nikolai and Alex have me Rooting for the both of them. I loving the story about her life and tt she is more important then Nikolai then he thought. Can't wait to read book 2
This was a good book. I hope Nakumi is able to help Nikolai save Alex before Kirill gets his claws into her for good. I also think Princess Natalia is gonna be a problem. Everyone don't take rejection well. Ready to dive into book two.💌💌
This book is intriguing and luring. It has you guessing what will happen next, but it takes you a different direction which keeps you reading to find out what's going to happen next. Good read, looking forward to part 2.
What a great, unpredictable and well-thought-out story! I was captivated from beginning to end and I can't wait till the 2nd book! I loved the writing style
