Still Hooked
So on a whim I picked up t be first book in this series and blew through it. Now I jumped right into the second and DAMN IT I'm still hooked. The masquerade ball was hot as heck and the revelation that our sexy, tall, dark and handsome lead maybe in love!!!! Well now I'm running into the next book. Damn you ladies for sucking me into this devilishly, delicious world.

Confusing…
This short erotic romance continues the story of Charlene and Clayton from the first book of this series…following Charlene’s sexual awakening with Clayton she has returned to her home and re-established her life as a nurse but an invitation, from Clayton, to a masquerade ball brings her back to his world….
There is no doubt that this author knows how to set a scene, skillfully describe the world in which a story unfolds and create complex and interesting characters..the difficulty for me with this particular book is that the first few introductory chapters were too in-depth and read like the beginning of a full length novel….. in fact the initial interaction between the two main characters did not take place until several chapters in….
Despite all the preamble when Charlene and Clayton finally re-connect the relationship just does not feel realistic…. I love taboo books but somehow this relationship does not work for me…not helped by the fact that before there is any real interaction between the couple Charlene is being taken in other directions…the sexual encounters are super erotic and steamy but there seems to be a disconnect between the characters….
This was a combination of great writing and hot erotic sex let down by a slow beginning, relationships that felt shallow and an abrupt conclusion which was confusing….this novella was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads...

Just a bit over the top, Seduced and Pleasured was exactly that. Innocent Charlene being seduced and pleasured. It was very interesting to see her take a walk on the wild side.
Seduced and Pleasured was quick and super sexy. The blurb felt a tad misleading, and that confused me a bit at first. Reality must be set aside to fully enjoy the book.

This story was a super sexy, hot and quick story that I enjoy reading. It was well written, hot in all means and the connection between the characters was great.

SeXXXy story, minor plot
I read the first book in this series a while back, a story of a girl who had fallen for her father's best friend. They were forced apart - Daddy knows best - and met again at her father's funeral, followed by lots of sex.
That catches us up to this book, where he flies her out on his personal plane to a wild, exclusive kinky party, with a stop beforehand to ensure she's attired properly. (Black corset, stockings, heels - the basics). He's so eager to see her again that he ignores her while she is taken into a back room for some hot girl on girl action, followed by him jumping in (masked, anonymous) to make it a threesome, at which point she stops because it's like cheating on him.

No, really. Fly across the country for super hot sex, then think better of it, because he was kind enough to arrange it all to expand her sexual boundaries. While there's a HEA, and a minor plot, this book is primarily about hot, kinky sex - and it's done well.

Hot different story line. A very quick read but it has it all. It has hot scenes, steamy BDSM plays, amazing chemistry and it is sexy and fun. I like it very much because it is so well written and described that you almost feel the main characters emotions. It is naughty and sweet and you just have to read through it to see what happens next.
Charlene and Clayton has to fight issues to make it all work and their relationship develops all the time. They learn new things.
I can only recommend this book to others but be aware that there are amazing BDSM scenes in it.

We met Clayton & Charlene in Cuff & Damaged, but here is where Clayton shows Charlene more in the world of BDSM and his lifestyle. Can she handle it or will she turn and run the other way. I'm not going to give away how Charlene reacted that you will need to explore on your own. But you will be surprised in what Charlene does at the masquerade party that Clayton set up to see if Charlene can handle him.

Another book promising kinky BDSM that failed to deliver. Perhaps I am jaded, but I expected much kinkier sex. There is some rather tame lesbianism with a little sensuality. The brief one-on-one lesbianism in the beginning appears to be written by a woman fantasizing about being with another woman, but never has had the pleasure. Some rather tame BDSM sex, a little MFF with two groups of MFF that do not mix between them. Some light anal sex, and hen rather tame sex after that.
This book was more word porn than romance. To me this book reads like female jack-off material rather than a feel good romance.
I didn't like that the woman sucked off someone she thought was a stranger, but wouldn't go farther than that because she "cared" about someone else. Even if someone arranged a kinky swinger party for her, if she truly cared for the other person she wouldn't be sucking the cock of some other dude (which turned out to be her lover anyway).

Not a real romance
2 men are best friends. One has a daughter and when she turns 16 she knows she's in love with her father's best friend. Ten years later, there is no seduction. Definitely NOT your typical masked ball, the steamy intimacy scenes are oral F/f and one F/f/M oral. There is one scene M/F but it didn't seem to work at all with the type of male lead. It did with the added chapter at the end of the story, but if one doesn't read it, that scene totally doesn't work. Overall quality of writing was good but the story itself was poor. Sad really, for it had potential. Proofreading was good, NO cheating or cliffhanger or happy ending. Just a quickie romp with a lot of open ended emotional and mental issues.

I hold out for hope with Melissa books and yet they fell me every time. Charlene is a nurse who has had a crush on Clayton her dads friend. Move forward her dad has passed away and Clayton and sent private planes for her to visit. He tries to share her at a home aren’t and she says no, her heart belongs to him. A week later it’s now time for Charlene to leave she tells Clayton how he feels and basically he said he’s not ready for a realationship.they decide to see each other as time permits.... the end

Book 2 was just as steamy as book 1, but a bit more exciting with the scenes. This author truly has me on edge with this series and I can't seem to get enough although they are short. I'm hoping that Clayton really gets what he is seeking from Charlene. He seems to be struggling with what he wants and what society says. I think the age difference is what Clayton is struggling with more than his love for Charlene. But when you love someone who is of legal age then why worry about what others think or say? I look forward to reading the next book.

It’s was okay I don’t go for the girl on girl action( that’s why the 2 Star) that happened a few times at the party Clayton hosted. Was it a test for Charlene to see if she could be with another or to expand her sexual activity. Clayton got a shocking reaction and new emotions he never had before....

This review of Seduced and Pleasured: Forbidden Pleasure 2 by Melissa Devenport and Camille Crosby may contain some spoilers.
I was offered this "book" as an ARC copy. I like the premise but at 71 pages, this is not a book. I wouldn't even really call it a novella as there is no plot to speak of. This can be easily read in a few hours.
This is the second in a series and requires that the 1st installment must be read in order to understand the second. I say installment because the story feels like the author wrote one story and then broke it up into different "books", which is a major issue for me.
Because there is no plot per se, it's hard to provide a summary of the book. Charlene is a likable but somewhat naive character who is mourning the loss of her father who died in the previous installment. She takes a vacation to visit a man who is practically invisible throughout the entire story. There are hints of a sexual encounter with the man, but the relationship isn't very defined regardless of the words used to describe it. The story touches on several themes but never truly addresses any of them. Charlene is significantly younger than the man she's seeing, but since he's a secret from her everyday life it doesn't matter. There is also her new found friendship with a coworker which seems to have no relevance to the story other than to give the impression that Charlene has no friends. Equally baffling is her relationship with one of her patients. The bulk of the scenes surrounds Charlene and her interactions with a woman.
The male lead is so insignificant in the story that I can't remember his name. Aside from being unrealistically wealthy, controlling and kinky, there isn't much else to him unless it's in the first installment. He does all the standard things that these types of stories include. He manipulates her into attending a kink event without her knowing what it is, he arranges for her to have sex with other people without any discussion/negotiation about it, and he has sex with her even though she doesn't recognize him.
The entire thing is 8 scenes, 3 of which are sexual. 1 of which is the two main characters alone. Even those were fairly standard kink scenes and seemed to be missing any connection between the characters. This would have been a better read if the author waited and finished the whole story in a single book, rather than break up a single story into several installments.
