I know loss. I know grief. A hit and run accident shattered my dreams. Robbed me from being able to do the one thing I’ve longed to do. Then there’s the ghosts my husband and daughter can see. Life’s been chaotic, and just when I think we’re in the clear, I have to come to grips with secrets coming to light from Scott’s past. Now I’m fighting the monsters in my head and fighting with the one man I need in my life. I’m afraid it’s a losing battle.
Scott
Six years ago, my life changed. I gained the ability to see ghosts. When they have unfinished business, they come to me for closure. It’s something I’ve never been able to get for myself. Overwhelmed with the spirits, I’m ready to give up until a ghost from my past shows up with a secret. All the answers I’ve never gotten are now ready to be explained. How do I forgive her for keeping the child we created from me? What else is she hiding?
No matter where she goes, USA Today Bestselling author Nikki Lynn Barrett hears voices in her head. Instead of calling her crazy and locking her up, her family realizes it's just a product of being an author and allows her to write the stories so that the voices shut up. But they don't. And probably never will. There's no need to lock her up, Nikki knows she'll never escape the voices, not until each and every last story is written. And for every story she writes, about ten or more ideas pop up.
When she isn't slaving away at her computer writing books that will probably make you cry and keep you in suspense, Nikki plots to take over the world one book at a time. What? It's a sickness. One she can't escape!
Books aren't her only addiction, though. Nikki can be found making up parodies to drive her son crazy, and bantering back and forth with her husband, who somehow manages to steal her away from the fictional world she lives in all the time.
Nikki lives in Arizona with her husband and son, where she can be found using every creativity outlet she can find through music, photography, handcrafted things, and random interests that she may pick up from time to time.
Snowfall Serenade is the third book in the wonderful Soul Connection Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Having read the previous books and loving them as much as I did, I was quite excited when this third book hit my Kindle. I know I have said this many times before- but Ms. Barrett’s stories are very captivating, easily pulling me in and keeping me hooked right till the very end. She has a real talent for storytelling, and I can always count on her to deliver an engrossing, well written, and cleverly crafted story. As with the other two books in the series, this is another paranormal romance, with a wonderful supernatural touch that gives this series that extra element of interest. With romance, ghosts, drama, angst, a little heartache, family, mystery, emotion, secrets, high stakes, and revelations- this story packs quite a lot between the covers. As this story continues Scott and Zelda’s story, who we me back in book one, I highly recommend reading the other two books first before you start on this one. There is a lot of important information, backstory, and character details contained in the other books, that will really enhance your reading experience of this book. I have loved Scott and Zelda right from the beginning of the series, through their story in book one, and then again as supporting characters in book two. It was great to get to continue their story in a bit of an unexpected way. I really felt for them through this story, there were a few tense and emotional moments that made my heart ache for them- and again I found myself completely invested in them and the outcome of their story. With the little snippet at the end, I can’t wait to see what comes next!!
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection Book 3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett is another captivating paranormal romance story in this fantastic series. Nikki is a go to author for me and when I saw this book was out, I had to get it. Nikki has a way of telling a story that completely consumes you and the rest of the world fades away. I often get in trouble with people trying to talk to me and getting no response when I am lost in her narrative. Nikki has poured a lot of emotions within the story that makes you fall in love with these characters and makes your heart melt. I was so engrossed that putting the book down was not going to happen and before I knew it hours had passed.
I love paranormal and this has all the elements that made it a wonderful story. What with ghosts and mystery, a little drama and angst, a few secrets and romance what more could you ask for. This series is aptly named Soul Connection could not be more perfect.
Snowfall Serenade by Nikki Lynn Barrett a five-star read that you need to read. This is number three in the Soul Connection series, and you could read it as stand-alone, but honestly, I would recommend you read them all as they build the background, and you get to know everyone. Nikki Lynn Barrett shows us grief and loss in a true and honest manner, its not glossy and light, its raw. Zelda and Scott will keep you hooked, they have a battle on their hands and its unsure if they will make it to the other side. This has been a great series and I am so excited for number four.
What an emotional rollercoaster!! I had to put the book down and cry for a moment while reading this one. A few parts of this book are pretty heart wrenching to be honest. We are back to the lives of Scott and Zelda Henderson in the third book of the Soul Connection series; however, the other characters we have met along the way are thankfully still with us. Oh boy, do we all need friends like Scott and Zelda have!! Unlike "Sleeping Angel", I feel like this book does need the first two books in order to fully get the happenings and emotions of the story. So many emotions and they are definitely well written!! 😭 In this book, the Henderson family is struck by tragedy when Zelda gets into a car accident while pregnant. Not only does she lose the baby, but the damage was so severe they had to do an emergency hysterectomy - forever taking away the opportunity for her and Scott to make a baby together. Zelda and Scott wade through their grief, another major accident, mental illnesses, and the ever present unrelenting ghosts all the while trying to remain strong for each other and their daughter Julianna. Deep in the trenches of trying to keep their family from falling apart, Scott is contacted by someone from his past and the news they bring will change the Henderson family forever. Once again, Nikki Lynn Barrett touches on grief and mental illness in such a strong and authentic way. It's tragically relatable sometimes and when she wrote "it cuts deep" - it really does! I don't normally do this, but this book should come with a trigger warning for grieving mothers. If you aren't ready to be reminded of your own loss, wait a little while to read this; but read it when you are strong enough. It really is a beautiful book.
I loved this book more than I can dare to say! I found it full of moving moments as well as a lot of emotions for myself surrounding the characters I read about! I loved the aspects of the ghosts that were added into the story, and they really added nicely, and the writing really made this book an very easy flow to read.
I was sucked in and entwined completely with this novel, it was so good. I loved how the two main characters could see ghosts and basically were gifted that they had to help them on their way, but is being let go really what all ghosts seem to want? Or sometimes does unfinished business mean something more than a human brain would think to consider?
Zelda and Scott could both see the ghosts and they I found sometimes viewed it as more of a burden, as it took time away from things they enjoyed such as each other and family time. The ghosts put a strain on what they have between them for sure, but with the ghosts needs and their past history of what they bring to the table, it makes things for Zelda and Scott more worst than off than they first appeared to me at first glance. All in all, I was truly captivated by this novel and was rooting for Zelda and Scott, they were beloved characters who deserved a happy story for sure. I loved the ghosts though, it made the story complicated for the characters sure at times, but I found their back stories had much appeal to read!
The story itself was moving and an easy flow to read, and it was one you really had to put your heart in to really feel what Zelda, Scott, as well as our ghost friends were feeling. It was beautiful and I am so glad I discovered this amazing author. Will be reading more of their work for sure, high recommendation!
After getting into an accident, Zelda has lost the one thing she and Scott have been working toward for a while. Scott was faced with the decision nobody ever wants to have to make, but his wife's life was on the line. Now they can barely look one another in the eye since the pain of their loss is so overwhelming and they each blame themselves. They need to work on healing not just as a couple, but as a family. It doesn't help that ghosts keep popping up needing help to get closure. If they can't get attention from Scott they seek the only other person that can see them, their daughter. Now the ghost of someone in the past has turned up with a big secret and the answers he needs to be able to fully close that chapter of his life. Will Zelda and Scott be able to work through things to keep their marriage and family intact? Or has Zelda finally had enough of the ghostly interruptions? Will the big secret be something that will alter his life and marriage? Will Scott finally get the closure he needs?
I have enjoyed this series so much. You can feel how heavy the matter at hand is and feel the emotion leaping from the pages. The author has yet again done a great job bringing the reader into this fictional world.
Another beautifully written story from this lovely author. I absolutely adore her books, they are so easy to read, beautifully detailed and have amazing characters you just can’t help but love reading about. Snowfall Serenade was a lovely story, I was completely lost in what I was reading and the characters, Scott and Zelda, I was completely captivated by their story. I could honestly feel every emotion that the author had clearly poured into Zelda and Scott’s situation, it was so emotional to read and I definitely shed a few tears! This is the third book in this soul connections series and I think (although it’s a tough one) it may be my favourite! I think I would also recommend that this series is read in order to fully understand everything that happens in this third book. Snowfall Serenade Is a beautifully written book and one that I would highly recommend.
I enjoyed this paranormal romance story. This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. I enjoyed her writing skills and how her attention to details bring her stories to life. This book is no different. I was pulled in right from the beginning. It is a fast paced, how to put down story that has characters that are relatable and keeps the story engaging. This is the third book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous two books to help your enhancement of this series. This is Zelda and Scott’s story. Theirs is one of secrets from the past and forgiveness. Between the voices in her head and Scott, she feels as if she is losing their battle. He has questions and no answers and keeps coming back to see if he can trust her again. What will happen to these two? What will fate have in store for them? They are great characters with great growth throughout the story. I also enjoyed the growth of the plot that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Their chemistry is great and I found myself hoping they would find their happiness. This is a great story that is worth the pick up for sure. I highly recommend this book and this author.
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) By Nikki Lynn Barrett
5-stars
Wow!! I don’t even know where to start with this one, honestly Snowfall Serenade is just simply phenomenal, a one-of-a-kind and truly original storyline, one that sticks with you well after the last page!
This is hands down a series that needs to be read in order, but that isn’t a problem since each book is amazing! This storyline is intense, heart-wrenching, touching, gripping and so very unexpected! I read it in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading, I was so consumed by these characters that I just couldn’t bear to put it down.
This is one of the best series I have ever read and I would highly recommend it to anyone! This is a series that should not be missed!!
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) By Nikki Lynn Barrett
4-stars Review by Melissa Saxton
wow! this is my first read by Nikki Barrett. this story explores Scott and Zeldas journey, and the heart wrenching trauma they endure early in the story that leads them to barely be able to interact. As if that's not enough Scott can see and speak to ghosts and they Interrupt him at all the wrong times which puts constant strain on his family. When he takes a trip away catastrophe strikes pushing Scott and Zelda to the brink and a secret will be revealed. Will Scott and Zelda be able to save their relationship after tragedy, can they forgive one another and come together stronger? This was a good story and a good 4.5 star read. it will keep you riveted.
This is a four-star review of Nikki Lynn Barrett's "Snowfall Serenade," the third book in the Soul Connection series. Whether you are a repeat fan or a first time reader of Barrett, this is one time you will be asking for more snow! Barrett makes it easy to lose track of time with characters like Zelda and Scott who are emotionally complex but likable. Zelda and Scott's story becomes emotionally charged as they try to help spirits finish earthly business so they can find rest. Instead of being scary, the story is emotionally charged as the plight of the spirits begins to take a toll on the romantic life of Zelda and Scott. This unexpected twist turns into a complication and this is type of thing Barrett is known for! This is a great read and one not to be missed!
Boy, am I glad that I decided to read this book right away after the other books in the Soul Connection series! The third book in the series, Snowfall Serenade brought back the story of Scott and Zelda, which made me ecstatic and helped me read it that much quicker!
Just like the previous books in the series, each chapter in this book was an emotional roller coaster, and at the end of every chapter I wondered what would happen next. So many things had changed in the lives of Scott and Zelda since the first book, and it was interesting to watch where each chapter lead their story. I reached the end far too quickly and can't wait to read another book in the series.
Snowfall Serenade is book three in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. This story captivated me from the blurb. I was intrigued by the little taste the author gave of the content. It was very well written and sucked me in from the beginning. A lot of emotions unfolded throughout this book. A lot happened to Zelda and Scott during their time together. There was drama aplenty with secrets, life changing events and the inner struggle to cope with the new norm. This story was engaging and endearing. Hard to cope with moments and difficult feelings to deal with, Zelda did well to keep hold of reality. Scott had to deal with new abilities, secrets being unravelled and learning how to forgive. It was a tumultuous journey, but one that was fulfilling and a true delight to read. Author Barrett spun a masterful tale that seized my attention and left me with a warm and contented feeling. 4 stars
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett. This is the 3rd book in the Soul Connection series and I have loved every one of them. I highly recommend reading the 1st two to learn who people are and to understand all that's going on. This is Scott and Zelda's story who we met in book 1. Scott was shot and almost died and can now see Ghosts as well as Zelda. Zelda is having trouble dealing with the fact that Scott is away chasing ghosts more than he's home and with them having a young daughter and Zelda now being pregnant again she needs him home now more than ever. Communicating with these ghosts all the time is so consuming mentally and physically. When Scott has to make a life or death choice for Zelda things change for both of them. This is such a good paranormal romance. Will Zelda and Scott continue this life full of chasing ghosts or will they decide its taking too much from their real life. This book will keep you turning the pages all thru the night!
Zelda and Scott are back and as if life wasn’t complicated enough between marriage, parenting and the ghosts which only Scott can see, their life is complicated at best, but they are trying their best, but the ghosts especially are coming between them and Scott is overwhelmed with the amount surrounding him everyday and he feels like he is missing out on time with his family. Although they have things to work through, Scott and Zelda are faced with a life changing decision, one that will change their family forever and while they are trying to make it, Scott keeps being called away by the dead searching for closure, but one day the worst happens and Zelda is involved in a hit and run accident and because of her injuries, Scott has to make a decision bigger than any he has before, but which will change both of their lives forever.
When Zelda wakes up from surgery, Scott has to break the news of the choice he has made and the consequences of his decision and it almost breaks them, the grief they have known before is nothing compared to this and Zelda fears that this, as well as the stress they were already under is leading her to a place she never wanted to return to. As they are reeling from this unexpected change, they begin to think that maybe they can start to get a handle on life, however, things go from bad to worse when a particular ghost turns up, one whom they are both familiar with, but no-one more so than Scott.
A blast from Scott’s past whom he never thought he would see or hear from again, has reappeared in death, but has brought along a living, breathing child with them, a child which is Scott’s, a child from a time he wanted to forget, but he needed closure for. As Scott communicates with and works through all the turmoil around him, Zelda is also battling demons of her own and the one person she needs is the one person she is pushing away, but will they be able to work through all of the stress and turmoil in their lives together, or will it break the bond they have tried so hard to maintain? This is another fantastic book in this series where secrets are revealed when past and present collide to create a maelstrom of emotions, experiences and events which spin you on a wild ride as you go through everything along with Scott, Zelda and those around them as you follow along their path until its conclusion.
In this book we are back to Scott and Zelda’s story that we started in book one. This author really knows how to pack a punchin the emotional turmoil department. If you haven’t read the first two books you definitely should as they provide additional insight into the characters and their actions.
Zelda finds herself in a horrible car accident, which causes her to lose her and Scott’s baby. As if that weren’t enough Scott must make the decision that will change the course of their lives, in order to save his wife, by allowing the doctors to give her a hysterectomy. This takes the one thing that Scott and Zelda had been working toward in their marriage. Each one blames themselves for what happened, and even though trying to overcome this horrific accident Scott is still being besieged by ghosts who want his help to move on. That is when a ghost from Scott’s past enters the story with a secret that may forever change the couple's lives. When Scott doesn’t immediately help they go to his daughter, the only other person with the ability to see them. Can Scott and Zelda move through their own trauma to handle the secret from the past? Or is this the final straw that breaks them so they are unrepairable? This is an emotional rollercoaster from the get go and the author does a fantastic job of tackling the difficult topics of infant loss and mental health. I am looking forward to reading what comes next and continuing this journey with this author. I highly recommend not only this book but this series as it has to be one of the best I have ever read!
This is the 3rd book in the soul connection series. I highly recommend reading the first 2 books in the series as we get introduced to the characters in those books. This is a heartwarming and at times heart-wrenching story. We are back with Zelda and Scott who we met in book 1. This story is very hard and emotional read as it deals with mental illness, loss of a baby and loss of a chance to conceive. All those subjects hit very hard emotionally but the author writes them in a way that is real and also respectful. The author gives you insight into both sides of the story from Zelda's view and Scott's and that for me is important as these things don't just effect the woman that goes through it but also her partner. This is a story about love and heartache.
Their story continues in this book. Their live seems perfect and their love stronger than ever but when the thing they want the most, a baby, gets taken away from them this tears them apart. Almost to the point of no return.
However through it all they start to find their way back to each other. But the constant spirits that keep coming to Scott for help seriously put a strain on their relationship. With that strain, guilt on both sides and a surprise from Scott's past which could blow their whole family apart can Scott and Zelda survive it all or will it all be too much to overcome for Zelda.
This is the third book in this series by this author I have read and let me just say…WOW! What a wave of emotions I am feeling. What a catharsis I just experienced. Since I had already read the previous two books in the series I had an idea of what I would be getting, but I had to put this book down many more times to get out the tissues and ugly cry. She can bring such detail into her books that you literally get the feeling you are the main character. And she does not disappoint in bring these stories to life. As with the previous two books I was hooked from the first chapter of the book, and I was sad when it ended because I wanted it to continue. Unfortunately, that’s the sad part about books. They grab hold of you and then leave you wanting more. This was no different. I will advise that while this could be read as a stand alone book I do feel that it would be best for the reader to read them in order. I think that will give you a better meaning and understanding of her stories. I highly recommend this book and this series, especially if you feel the need to free all your emotions.
I read this series in less than a week, back to back, I couldn’t put it down! So. Many. QUESTIONS! Of course, I loved it (can I note that I am not normally a huge paranormal fan, but Barrett has written this series in such a way that it doesn’t have me rolling my eyes for how unrealistic ghost stories tend to be… like, I can actually imagine this all happening to someone as it’s being told. COLOUR ME IMPRESSED!) but I am now impatient for the next installment as there was a teaser at the end and it did its job. It teased. I have been teased. Now I want the book! This installment followed Scott and Zelda again as they went through their lives; their family fuller and happier thanks to the addition of lifelong friends, but of course something is missing. Tragedy strikes, and then it strikes again, and again. They really cannot seem to catch a break. Meanwhile the three-year old little princess is taking everything in stride and their friends are assisting in every way they can. Secrets are revealed, boundaries and relationships are tested, and characters are introduced. Can’t wait for the next book and to see what literary 180 Barrett will take this time!
Snowfall Serenade is the 3rd book in the Soul Connection series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. It needs to be read in order, as there is a lot of connections. I have read the other 2 and still didn't recall a lot of what was referenced. I should have re-read them to refresh my memory. These books are so creative and well written. I love all the characters and their friendships are perfect. Scott is so realistic, because he can be the sweetest guy ever, or a total dick, when he cracks under pressure. It is genuine and believable based on what he deals with on a daily. This book is full of so much emotion and hard situations. I like that it bounces between point of views, so we can see the same story from everyone's perspective. I liked that everything was not revealed in the beginning, but unfolded as the story went along. I really struggled reading Deena's chapters, because they were very cryptic and maddening. But it added to the suspense and emotions felt while reading this book. Highly recommend this series, even if you don't normally read paranormal.
Scott and Zelda badly wanted to have another baby, and as soon as their hopes comes true its tragically cut short due to a horrible car accident. The severity of the damage causes Zelda to lose the baby and end up also having a hysterectomy ending her chances for ever having another child. The loss of her unborn child and the loss of her ability to ever have another child devastates Zelda and begins to take a toll on their relationship as a whole. From the ghosts that being to appear for Scott and their young daughter to the mental and emotional factors things become a fighting battle, and question arise can they make it to the other side together. This will be a story you don't put down until the finish. Snowfall Serenade was a beautifully written story that was original and heart felt. The moment I began Scott and Zelda's story I was emotionally invested. It was very easy to connect to them on a personal level and feel as if they were a friend of your own. The story was emotionally gripping, and at times I could not hold back the tears watching them fall apart.
I have been falling in love with the Soul Connection Series from Nikki Lynn Barrett from the very first book, but I do think that this one, Snowfall Serenade, has to be my favorite book so far. I would personally recommend reading these books in order for the full effect and enjoyment of the series. This one really sucked me in and I was completely taken away with the storyline. I felt this one a bit more closely maybe I don’t know, but it really just sucked me in and ripped my heart out at times. I may have even found myself choking up a few moments. The paranormal elements were done in a manner that was extremely believable and I find that extremely entertaining and difficult to do sometimes with paranormal novels lately. The character development is really on point in this one as well which is something I have seen grown with Ms. Barrett from the first book as well and I am loving it. I am so excited to see what the next book will bring us.
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
5 Stars
I was so glad to check back in with Scott and Zelda, even though it seems all they do is fight constantly to keep what they have. I actually found myself with tears a few times while reading this continuation of their story. I loved them in book 1 and this book just strengthened that.
This is a unique series that I'm totally invested in and after finishing this one I seriously can't wait for the next. I have recommended this series to friends and family and truly can't wait to read them all again back to back!
I can not recommend reading these as stand alones, or out of order. There is history and events in the first two books that you really need to get the full effect of this story! The characters are all present in all 3 and you will be missing out if you don't read the first 2 before this one.
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
This isn't the first book I've read by Barrett. Snowfall Serenade was an amazing read and I know others will enjoy it. Barrett has outdone herself with this series.
Scott can see ghosts and it's taking its toll on him. He has these life-like dreams and wakes feeling guilty. His wife is someone he can turn to, but he feels like she may leave him because of his obsession. The quote I chose for Scott is: “Still doesn’t solve the guilt thing, though. That’s the biggest. This anniversary will pass, but ghosts needing me won’t.”
Zelda is used to her husband seeing ghosts. Now it's not only her husband, but her daughter as well. She can't carry Scott's child and any time she sees a kid she pictures Scott. The quote I chose for Zelda is: “Go. Get the hell out of here. You can’t be seeing Scott in random kids.”
Snowfall Serenade continues the story of Scott and Zelda. For its full impact, you must read the two previous books in the Soul Connection series first. The love in this story is tested over and over again, but the love they share with each other, the children, and their friends is just so beautiful. Their best friends are extraordinary. I love little Jules, yet my heart aches for young Cody. How much more can these people handle?
Ms. Barrett writes with such a deep love and this book is just packed full of emotions that I can't help "feel" while reading this. Omg, one moment I'm joyful, the next I'm overcome with grief, and then I'm hopeful once again. It's like riding a giant roller coaster! Nikki Lynn Barrett's writing touches my soul and stays with me for a very long time. Congratulations, Nikki, on another beautiful, compelling, heart wrenching story!!!
This is a beautiful story that shares the journey of Scott and Zelda. The story starts with a heart wrenching tragedy and difficult decision that Scott has to make. In the wake of the tragedy, Scott and Zelda find distance in their marriage and they are struggling to heal and find one another again. Add in Zelda’s mental illness and the fact that Scott and their daughter can not only see but talk to ghosts, and you have a rollercoaster of a journey! There were times where this story literally took my breath away. This is the third book in the series, and while I could follow along this fast paced story without getting lost and enjoy every step of the journey, I wish I would have some more of their background to really get to know and better understand the depth of their characters. I am going to go back and read the first two for sure!
Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett is a fantastic installment to the Soul Connection series. Having read the first two books to this series I was thrilled when this one hit my Kindle and immediately dropped everything to read it. Once again Ms. Barrett gives us everything a paranormal romance reader could hope for including romance, ghosts, drama, secrets, and so many emotions that you'll feel like your on a roller coaster ride. I was super excited that this story continued Scott and Zelda's story and couldn't wait to see what happened to their relationship in book three. Once again Ms. Barrett gives us fantastic characters, great word building, and a plot line that will keep you turning the pages until you've read the very last word. So of your looking for a good weekend read then I highly recommend Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett.
Scott and Zelda are back and on another rollercoaster of ups and downs and twists and turns. Please do not read this book without reading the first two. You will not get a lot of what they go through without the many details, experiences and backstory from the first two books. This specific book is so emotional and had me reaching for the tissues more than once. So much happens but above all the love Scott and Zelda have is as strong as ever. This author has fast become one of my favorites! I am sincerely looking forward to the next installment in this series.
*I will add a trigger warning as I didn’t have one and wish I had. Zelda loses a child and this story explores that grief. If you are still raw from the loss of your own child (and as I know from experience that pain never goes away it just dulls down until something brings it back) you may want to skip this one.
Deeply emotional and captivating. Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection Book 3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett hits hard. We pick back up in the lives of Scott and Zelda’s love story, when tragedy strikes again; this time in a deeply personal way.
This book was every bit as good as the previous two and once again I found myself crying, but this one felt even more emotional than the others. Scott and Zelda go through everyone worst nightmare, but their love for one another and the strength of their friendships are on full display in this installment of their story. Barrett does an amazing job creating a connection between the reader and the story and characters; she constantly takes my breath away and this has been a phenomenal series!
Wow, my emotions after this book....really at me. I just love this series and this continuation of Scott and Zelda had so many heartbreaking moments. My heart truly felt for Zelda as there was a car accident while she was pregnant and ended up losing her and Scott's baby. Not only that, it was an unfortunate event that Scott had to make a decision to save Zelda's life. After this, Scott and Zelda are distant but yet need healing. Ghosts keep reappearing and Scott has the ability to see them, but one from the past comes with a secret. Will Scott and Zelda come back to each other and heal together or will they fall apart? This story is full of moments of heartbreak and secrets but it was truly a wonderful book.
