Conversations

Based on N. Blechman and C. Niemann’s contribution to the exhibition “Talking Pictures” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Over a period of four months, the authors exchanged drawings and photos using their smart phones. Nicholas Blechman used black ink and Christoph Niemann used blue. The only rule was that the conversation be non-verbal.

Nicholas Blechman is an internationally recognized illustrator, designer, and art director. His award-winning illustrations have appeared in GQ, Travel + Leisure, Wired, and the New Yorker. He is currently the art director of the New York Times Book Review.

Es increíble el valor de una conversación basada en las imágenes. Lo prescindible que se vuelven las palabras para estos artistas lo hace una obra digna de poner en alto la comunicación no hablada. El proceso de significación que demuestran otorgar estos autores a las imágenes del otro, habla mucho de la visión que tienen del mundo y de qué tanto están dispuestos a jugar con el otro a pesar de ser el Otro.
