Not a pleasant read, with a few huge annoyances. My faith in any music resource is damaged when bands are misspelled (“The Monkeys” instead of “The Monkees”). I also hated the writer’s decision to include the parody content of Mark Shipper’s “Paperback Writer” (1978) and the Rutles in this day-by-day indexing of the Beatles history. It just doesn’t fit.

A frighteningly complete list of what every Beatles was doing every day of the world between the dates in the title. I met the guy who wrote this book and he knew all of it by heart. Name any day and any Beatle and he can tell you what happened to that Beatle on that day. Did I mention he hates the Beatles?
This is nothing more nor less than a day-by-day recounting of what the Beatles did on each day during their meteoric journey of fame. If this is the sort of information you find yourself wanting to reference, then this is the book for you. It's not a read-it-straight-through book. It's a look-it-up-when-you-want-it book.
The one major failing of this resource is the author's counterproductive insistence on reporting events that did not happen. Again and again we come to entries that look just like every other entry except that they are false and conclude with "according to the fictional book Paperback Writer." These are a foolish distraction and should not have been included.
