*** Harmony Raines gives us wonderful shifter stories with terrific characters. Here we have a cute couple, low angst; hunky bear meets his curvy gal in a snowstorm.
* Determined Chrysi wants to stop the hike before the storm hits. Little does she know her fiancé Ross has a ransom planned.
* Nevis, 30, our hero, is a burly bear on the mountain to take photographs and ponder his decisions. He senses her, his mate, and swoops in to help her. They ditch the creeps, Ross and Bart, and go to the cabin, where Nevis is staying. They'll have warmth, food and comfort. These two are cute together, as she accepts his status. We learn about her adoption, his Dad's pressures, and we get a hot night of passion. There's a rescue, a health scare, and justice. I like that they are two adults, who talk things through and listen, too. We meet families, and see the interactions.
I've read and liked lots of this authors books, and the next is a Silverback Dragon shifter.
It's an exciting, fast flowing story of true mates finding their happiness in life.

Great read
Enjoying the series. Its great to read one book after another, it’s easier to remember everyone and not waiting for next book. Each book has a different story line and new people but the same theme .love and HEA.

Nevis escaped to the snowy mountains to do some more photography, but really to search his heart over a decision that has plagued him most of his life. His heart was in these mountains, in his love of nature and capturing its beauty in his photographs. It certainly wasn’t in the boardroom where his father intended him to be. Nevis’ sister was far better suited to that position than he was – but his father was at times a sexist, old fashioned man. It was time to make his intentions clear, even though they would probably cause a rift between father and son.
Probably the last thing Nevis expected to see was a woman obviously running from something in the beginnings of this snow storm. He’d been out before the storm when he caught her scent. He decided to approach her in his bear form and believing that herding one human was going to be the only way to get her back to his cabin and safety from the storm. She was obviously on the run, but there was even more danger of staying out in the storm. They’d face what had to be faced together – for this stranger was his mate, and no one was going to harm her.
Chrysi got the surprise of her life when the man she’d agreed to married turned out to be such a fiend that he’s willing to kidnap her and hold her for ransom. Talk about misjudging someone. Her adoptive father may have seen his true colors, but he always allowed Chrysi to make her own decisions without his influence. Now she kinda wishes he’d said something this time. Fortunately for her, he and his sidekick weren’t too bright so she’d alluded them for now… but with the storm coming in fast that might mean her own death by a different means.
Storm Bear is fast paced, enjoyable and gives us some times with people we’ve known from previous stories. It also gives us a huge hint about the next story…. and it’s gonna be amazing. Chrysi and Nevis make such a perfect for each other couple. Their strengths and weakness counterbalance each other. And the additional family drama finally answered some questions that have been in the background. I enjoyed Storm Bear very much and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this story or any in this series to Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance readers.

3.5 Stars - Chrysi and Nevis story was just O.K. I felt it left me feeling as though it was not quite finished or maybe that there was too much of a gap between the last chapter and the epilogue. It just did not all come together for me. It was too quick and did not develop fully.
Basically Nevis does he want to take over his father's business so it goes up to the mountains for a while. And during a snowstorm he comes across a female who is fleeing two men. He realizes she is his mate.
Chrysi, is engaged to be married and her and her fiance go up into the mountains. And there she realizes his true nature and he tries to kidnap her for ransom money. It is not successful because a huge bear intervenes.
I hope book 6 is better then this one since it has to do with her father finding his mate in Bear Creek.

Another awesome book by Harmony Raines !
I loved reading this book. The author brought to life the story for me . I can almost see the love between Chrysi and Novis . Wow I could really see the change from man to bear in the words written . This author brought it to life in her words. I'm loving these shifter romances . Never thought I would but Harmony Raines has made me a believer . If you don't believe in a shifter romance just give these books by her a chance and you too will believe I promise ! Thanks again Harmony for sure an awesome book ! I'm ready for the next one . Too bad I've promised my seven year old grandson I'll go to Six Flags with him today so it will be tomorrow before I can read the next book in this awesome series !

My Favorite Return to Bear Creek Story
Chrysti and Nevis...Stranded together during a snowstorm, Chrysti and Nevis enjoy their new-found mate status. Once the storm is over, however, real life intrudes. Chrysti's former fiance and his partner in crime need to be punished for trying to kidnap Chrysti, Nevis's father is acting strange and Chrysti's father, Harlan, is searching for his elusive mate.
This just might be my favorite book so far in this series. It has an HEA for Nevis and Chrysti, but there is a cliffhanger for Harlan. Who is his mate? I hope we don't have to wait too long to find out.

A great addition to this series. Every now and then an author writes a book that just makes you feel happy. This book was it for me in this series.
Nevis has taken off to the mountain to get some thinking time in, so he can sort out what he wants to do as his dad is pressuring him.
Chrystal has gone hiking with her fiancé and soon learns his true character.
I loved how this story unfolded and how courtly and sweet Nevis was with Chrysi.
Good plot with nice characters and I loved Chrysi’s dad Harlan. He would be a great mate for our fiery dragon Fiona.

To say heiress Chrystal ‘Chrysi’ Remington was surprised in the dramatic change in her fiancé or the appearance of his partner and their plan was to ransom her back to her father is a serious understatement. No way was Chrysi going to be their pawn or prisoner. Luckily, Chrysi’s able enough to do it! Nevis was visiting his friend’s cabin on the mountain to take pictures and think about his life’s choices when he scented what could only be his mate then heard her being threatened.

Chrysi and Nevis's story is a fun, suspenseful, romantic tale of deceit, survival, family, and hope.
The books in the series are each standalones, but should really be read in order for true comprehension.
Read them, you won't be disappointed!

This is a series about a bear shifter community. For the most part, each book is focused more on the physical aspect of each bear finding his/ her mate and not too much on plot or character development.
This one has a little more plot with the kidnapping of Chrysi by her so-called fiance. Bear shifter Nevis is trying to think about his future outside of his father's company. He realizes that Chrysi is his mate and goes to rescue her.

Really enjoyable read! The story flowed easily and keep me hooked to the very end. Chrysi find herself in a isolated mountain facing a snow storm with a man she should trust but doesn't. Nevis is a bear shifter roaming the mountains trying to make a decision about his future when he stumbles on a woman in danger. The last thing he expects in this stormy night is to find his mate engaged to another and in danger. Highly recommended

I recommend 18 and up .

Excellent addition to the series! The publisher's blurb gives clues but can't begin to prepare you for the enjoyment of the journey that the characters take you on. The story covers romantic love, betrayal, family conflict, parental love, and so much more, including hope. Well written and with a cast of characters that inspire you.

Sweet!
I so enjoyed reading this romantic, fun and steamy book today especially since its hot outside and the talk of snow was a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Sigh. But importantly, I loved the characters and their love and strength for not only each other but all the members of their families.

Another great outing for Harmony Raines.
This book is as good as all the rest of her work. I haven't read anything by Harmony Raines that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. And I do enjoy how she she gives each player in a series their own story. It rounds everything out nicely. Everything I have read by Harmony Raines I have found to be well worth the read.

Once again Harmony has written a great book.I like this series because they are one big family and take care of each other.Nevis went to the mountain to think,never did he think he would help foil an attempted kidnapping.Chris just happens to be in the right place at the right time.

There's a Storm Coming
This is a story of two lovers, bound by fate. Chrysti and Nevis were such a good story to welcome Nevis's return to Bear Creek. Who knew that while he was out trying to decide on the direction he wants his life to go he would find his mate. Chrysti is feisty and very independent. I felt she was a good match for Nevis.

This book series is so much fun to read! Nevis is a bear shifter who is struggling to decide what to do with his life when he stumbles on his mate during a snow storm. Chrysti is trying to escape a kidnapping attempt when Nevis saves her. What a passionate story about fated mates. 💞

Still loving this series
There was a bit more action in this story and they are getting steamier, in my opinion. Chrysi is hiking with her fiance until he tries to kidnap her. Running away puts her in a snowstorm and in the path of her mate Nevis. This has the excellent characters, a little faster pace and a more intense storyline. Can't wait to read more! Fiona is next! Yeah!

Love In A Snowstorm
I love this story just as much as I have all the other Harmony Raines’s books I’ve read but this one has storyline errors in it that I have not seen in any of the others I’ve read.
Not punctuation or grammatical but things happening or being said that are off or kinda wrong.
As I said, I still love the story though. And I can’t wait to read Harlan story!!

But monkeys
Ross and Bart were but 🐵s kidnapping, ransom, and a blizzard. They got what was coming to them in the end but who is Harlan's mate???? My guess is either Fiona or a mythical creature we haven't met yet.
