This was a very sweet romance, light on the steam, about a young dancer who has escaped a horrible childhood and is trying to put her life together. Danica's got a good heart and isn't the least bit cynical or jaded, and when she meets Remy it's sparks at first sight. Remy is beyond captivated by her beauty, but even more drawn to her strong sense of self and determination to succeed.
Eventually, ghosts from her past track her down and threaten her newfound happiness, but together they can rise above the challenges and find their HEA. It was a nice change of pace to watch a love develop that is based more on mutual respect and admiration and less on panty-dropping smiles and a great rack. Both Danica and Remy are characters that are easy to love, and their story is absolutely heartwarming. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
What a sweet story. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end and read it in one sitting. I just coldn't put it down. Danica loves to dance and she's very good at it. Growing up, she always wanted to be a professional dancer. When her mother left when she was little, she was left with her father who had become an alcoholic, drug dealer and abuser. When she came home one day, he told her she can no longer take dance classes even though she paid for them herself. Instead, he wanted her to deliver marijuana and money. She was so angry that she decided instead of doing his dirty work, it was time to change her life. She got on a bus to Manhattan with his bag of marijuana which she ended up throwing away and $10,000.00 of her dad's money. She was starting over. Unfortunately, life wasn't easy but she was doing what she could. When she is waiting to be interviewed for a job, the most gorgeous man walks in and he takes her breath away. Remy who is a real estate mogul and millionaire. When he turns and sees Danica, his whole world is turned upside down. He has never felt this way. When he asks her out and she declines, he decides she seems to special to give up on. Remy is persistant. Their lives are so far from different but the attraction they have isn't only physical but emotional. This is a very well written book about 2 people that come from different worlds come together to help each other through the bad times and the good. Danica love to dance and even worked to pay for her own lessons. Her mother is gone and she lives with her dad who is an alcoholic drug seller who abuses her. She is about to go to a competion which could make her career when her dad forces her to do a job for him and tells her there will be no more dance classes. She is supposed to deliver a bag of drugs and $10,000 to a gang. Danica decides to take the money and runs. It is now 7 years later and she is in NYC still trying to make ends meet and become a dancer. She has applied for a job at a dance school and gets it. While she is there, she is attracted to a man bringing a little girl to class. The man stare at her too. Remy is a self-made millionaire. One day he asks his secretary to stay late doing important paperwork. She agrees but tells him he has to take her daughter to dance class. At the school he sees Danica and is instantly in love with her. He will do anything to get to know her more including paying for more lessons for his secretary's daughter. Danica agrees to go out with him and he does his best to impress her which makes her feel uncomfortable. What could a rich man want with a girl who lives in a shelter? Then her past finds her. She breaks things off to protect Remy. This is a good sweet story. I loved how strong Danica was and how she never gave up. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
Lily is a good girl living with her drug selling, alcoholic, abusive father. Her mother left years ago (and this was before the dad’s descent!). Lily is passionate about dancing; not only is it an escape, it can be a way out of her life. One opportunity is lost and another path is chosen. Lily is currently considered permanently homeless and lives with nuns who have taken her in. She meets Remy, a multimillionaire real estate magnate, at her new job at the dance studio she longs to dance in. Remy is immediately smitten and has to overcome Danica’s stubborn pride and secrets to win her over. I loved Remy’s character but found Danica’s inert naivety difficult to accept in view of her living the life she had for the past eight years. The dual POV was a bit confusing at times; the voices used similar language and I had to check the start of the chapter to see who “I” was. In all, this was a very sweet romance with a bit of drama and a great HEA.
I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Someone please tell me that this book was part of a high school writing contest. I can say that I was less than impressed and,in fact, truly bored by this book.
It had so much potential - good girl with crappy parents makes a hard decision to escape that life and survive on her own in the big city. Meets gorgeous (I am assuming, because no good description of either character was ever really provided) millionaire but has her dreams shattered as some random person that may or may not be associated with someone from her past makes threats against her and her hunky rich dude.
Stupid decisions are made, hearts are broken and then somewhat mended. Like something out of "Pretty Woman", the book ends in an unrealistic HEA.
I would have, honestly, given it only one star had it not actually had a promising plot line. But sadly, there wasn't enough substance to the writing to support it.

This collaboration between Ellie Danes and Lily Knight works beautifully as you are immersed in Remy and Danica's world. Danica is a young woman in hiding after running away from her drug dealer father in order to follow her dreams and passion to dance. Living in a less than perfect situation means those dreams aren't quite a reality but for Danica the hope is still very much worth the risks she took. Remy is a fortunate man who is captivated by the secretive Danica and as these two develop into a relationship, his caring and emotional side is certainly forefront in the story.
For me, this was a lovely romance story that was simple yet elegant. I enjoyed what Ellie and Lily have produced and look forward to seeing more of their collaborations in the future.

Danica’s mum left when she was a little girl and she spent years surviving with her drug dealing dad, she even manages to take dance lessons from working her part-time job. The day before a big dance competition her father makes her miss her final dancing practice by sending her with a backpack full of drugs and money to deliver for him. Danica flees with the money to Manhattan and for eight years she’s lived an existence taking any job she can find and living in homeless shelters. When she sees a sign at a premier dance studio wanting help she jumps at the chance. While she’s waiting to speak to the manager in walks Remy and he is just as captivated by Danica as she is with him............. Really enjoyed this story, so amazing and the characters are great with plenty of background and action.
Heartwarming is how I would describe this story. A sweet romance between two people who respect and treasure each other. Danica and Remy were great characters and were easy to like. This was a well written book with a strong storyline and great characters. Lily was passionate about dancing and the product of a drug selling abusive father and a runaway mother. She takes her father's drug money and runs away to begin a new life. She meets Remy, a billionaire real estate developer when he drops his PA's daughter off her dance class. He is instantly smitten with her. Lots of drama when he past comes back to haunt her. No spoiler here – but know there is an HEA. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this book. A great read …..
This was a very sweet romance about Danica who is chasing her dream to become a dancer and Remy, who is a billionaire that has issues due to his childhood. They both struggle to leave their past and get in to future without having issues with trusting others or fighting the past. Danica has fled from her father and taken 10000 dollars with her. He wants them back. This book has drama, passion, chemistry and some twists in it. But it is rather predictable what happens some of the time. However it is very well written and I like the sweet story and the chemistry between the main characters. I can only recommend this book if you like a bit of drama and romance.
Such a cute romantic story. Its a short read, but right the right amount of perfect. I devoured this in one sitting and loved every moment. Its about getting a second chance of life, when your past is nothing but harsh memories.
Danica was delt a bad hand from the start. After losing her mom, she is raised by her drug abusive dad. But her passion and love of dancing helps her escape and live short moments of pure happiness. Till one day, she has enough and gives up the only ting that brings her joy. After years away from her past, her past finally cashes up with her.
Remy has it all. he so adoring and loving. but when he see Danica his whole world shift.
These two are so perfect.
Lily and Ellie as always provide great stories to devour and enjoy.
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it
All Danica wants to do is dance, but her verbally abusive father stops her from going to her dance lessons. Enough is enough for Danica so she steals his money and runs away
Remy is a billionaire, he takes his PAs daughter to a dance class where he sees Danica, he is entranced by her and will to anything to meet her.
As with all things, Danica past catches her up, this is a beautiful story about two people who fall in love, but one has issues and drama in their past which impacts their relationship. There is romance and drama in this lovely romance story and I recommend this book
What this book lacks in hot steamy action it more than makes up for in good pure romance and getting to know one another with hot steamy kisses and cuddles watching movies. Danica is such a strong personality and so independent that she hates relying on anyone or asking for help of any kind. Happens a lot with people who live on the street or are classed as homeless. Her story plays a big part in this book and has finally come back to haunt her just as her life was turning around and she was finally believing she could obtain her dreams. Danica is a young woman who drams of being a dancer. her home life is horrible and she makes a life changing decision when she runs away. Remy is a billionaire real estate mogul who is your typical love 'em and leave 'em type. This is insta attraction when the two see each other for the first time but it takes a little before that attraction can take hold and possibly grow. As Danica deals with her past and her need to be independent she pushes Remy away. Remy is just head over heels about Danica and surprises himself with how much he needs her. Can these two put her past behind them, bridge the wealth difference and find a HEA? I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
I received this book for a voluntary, honest and non incentivized review. I wanted to enjoy this book a lot more than I did, having read the blurb. Dance related stories hold a very special place for me. Having said that Danica's character fell a bit short for me. She came across a bit too naive considering the plight she escaped from. However, both Danica and Remy are refreshing in that their relationship is not solely based on physical attraction. Loved the dual POV's. Exact rate for me: 3.75 stars.
Dancing with Fire by Ellie Danes and Lily Knight This is Remy and Danica's story.
Danica has always dreamed of being a professional dancer. Life has given her more than her share of hard knocks. Danica meets Remy about the time things are beginning to turn around for her. Then Danica's past threatens to destroy any chance she has of finding true love and happiness.
This is a sweet and heartfelt romance. I fell in love with Remy.

After running away from home, Danica has struggled, but is determined to find a way to follow her dream. After one look at Danica, Remy is determined to do what it takes to get her to agree to date him. What happens when Danica's past comes back to haunt her? Will Danica ever get her dream of being a professional dancer?
This book was sweet! Loved Remy! His patience and determination to be there for Danica was excellent. I didn't blame Danica for panicking being that she had only relied on herself for years and was so happy when she broke down and decided to trust others! Great book!

Danica is a woman with a past and a passion to dance. Remy is a business mogul of acquisitions and sells. When Remy closes a last minute deal that makes his personal assistant work late, she asks him to pick her daughter up from daycare and take her to a dance studio for the lesson she has that day. He meets Danica there and doesn't admit that the girl is not his daughter since Danica tells him he is a great father for encouraging the girls love of dance. This is a must read just to find out what happens, if Remy ever tells Danica the truth and if Danica will trust anyone with her past.
This is the first book I have read from Lily Knight and Ellie Danes and I will be interested in reading others from them. This story has an explosive start but then tempers down. About halfway through it really pucks back up again. If you stick with it, this is a truly good story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Remy = 4/5 Heroine, Beth = 4/5 Chemistry = 3/5 Sex = 3/5 Plot = 3/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 2/5 Humor = 1/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = no Would I read future books by this author = maybe

Dancing with Fire is a wonderful story. It tells of struggle and hope. Danica seems to have had a very bad childhood, but she is strong willed and self sufficient, making her the woman she is today. She always seems to make the best of a bad situation. Remy, her Prince Charming is only caring, loving and loyal. Almost too good to be true.
I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing. The receipt of said book in no way swayed my opinion.
This is a sweeter romance with a heartbreaking past. Danica is just a cute little person I want to snuggle and give love to. She is strong, yet she has seen so much pain. Her character is lovely and does her best to move on. Even when forces from the past come and make her life miserable. It is light on the steam, but has an amazing plot!
She has a tough childhood and then gets the chance to make her dreams come true. It is a sweeter romance with the wealthy admirer falling for her right away. I liked Danica. She works hard and wants to do the right thing. I wanted her to get her happy ever after.
This was a sweet and sensual romance. Danica is a talented dancer, but life has been challenging for her, to say the least. When Remy sees her for the first time, he is utterly taken with her. Theirs is a tough road to love, but it was sweetly written and well done. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
The first book had it all, drama, passionate sexual romance in a twisted relationship between two people who were amazing and I enjoyed reading this author's books. The only thing is that this author's books had other books continuing on to another stories, which I absolutely hate!!! ENJOY
I voluntarily received an arc in exchange for an honest review!!! I really enjoyed reading this book. Remy is the perfect alpha. He would do anything for Danica. The authors did an amazing job with this book. Once I started I didn't stop till I finished it.
