Queen #3

The Scotch Royals

London is a lot more useful than I anticipated. She gets me what I need like a pro.

With her by my side, I feel like I can do anything.

My need for revenge is dimmed. My anger is contained.

But her brother is still a problem. She wants me to let him go.

I'm not sure if I can.

Well, in this one London tried so hard to win Crewe’s trust again but the thing is it’s not just Crewe who’s upset with her. His business partner and his staff don’t trust her anymore. Of course they have the right, in any case they lost some of their men but she believes she’s done what she has to do! She did it so she could survive and that made me like her more that he believes in what she did!

I've become a new fan of this author by this series and I have in mind to read another of her series! Told in dual POV, 1st person. It’s the third and that last book in the "Scotch" series and it has to be read in order. I liked it so much and I hope you enjoy it as well!

This final book was probably my least favorite of the three-book series, but I really enjoyed this series overall.

Series Review:

This three-book story had so many elements that I love...mafia-ish, anti-hero possessive asshole, forced proximity with dubious consent, and really really strong chemistry between the main couple. I loved Crewe, I loved London, and I loved them so much together.

I just really loved this series and will for sure be re-reading it in the future. Highly recommend for those who like the details I mentioned above. That said, this definitely won't be for everyone, but it totally worked for me. Also, it's not what some would consider "safe," so don't try this if that matters to you.

Eh...I was bored with this book. It dragged so I ended up skipping pages. Wanted to get to the drama.

I'm happy for the ending, however, I'm not happy about London not finishing med school and becoming a doctor. That was her dream. She gave that up to get married and have kids? It felt like she lost her identity to be with a man. Eh, I could be reaching but this is how is felt.

Oh well 🤷🏾‍♀️

Happy reading, friends 📖❤️

Great 3rd book except for some moments, when I got pissed with London dating men immediately after the drama that went down and even sleeping with a man.

I can't understand how you can be with other people so soon, when you are in love with someone else and when the man you supposedly love is in a hospital bed.

I mean the situation was so complicated on an emotional and psychological level that I found the way the writer decided to go on with the story totally wrong.

I would have expected London to fight for Crewe and show him that her feelings were true or for her to take some moments of time for herself after the drama. Not to go on 5 dates within a month...that was really off.

On the other hand I understood Crewe's need to fuck around and drink himself to death to forget her betrayal. I think the writer tried to balance the fact that he was going with other women by doing the same with London, but it came out really awfully. London was the one at fault, she betrayed him, she was responsible for him being shot to death...so she needed to show the truthfulness of her feelings.

Thank God the writer got back on track soon, because it would have been a real shame destroying their love story further.

For the rest the story was developed great.

The epilogue was too cute!

I have devoured this whole series in one day... I mean just WOW!!!!

Crewe and London are each other's Kryptonite, it just takes a while for each to come to that conclusion

After being Kidnapped London Still Manages to open her heart to Crewe, while Crewe finds his compassion in forgiveness..... Untill Hag face Ariel (More like Ursula) comes and has to ruin everything!

Still with an unsuspecting Allie these soulmates finally find the way back to each other again....

The Moreish story paired with ALOT of Balls deep moments, paired with Anger, callousness and aggression is a recipe for a great read as through the series the characters grow and evolve.

Hats off to you Penelope Sky

So this is going to be the review of the all serie.

The core story was entertaining but nothing new...

Crewe background is forced... The guy is a Duke like royalty, with more money that some countries, has a scotch mega business and somehow still managed to be in the black market of information trade, it’s like there is a need to justify the kidnapping and his “dark and ruthless background” that we don’t see!
He is a little cold in the beginning and then got pussy whipped!!

London is a though girl, she is a fighter and don’t stop fighting… She ends up using sex to have her way and falls in love with Crewe.

In not one to complaint but book 2 has too much sex (like at least 3 times a day, everyday) and lack in story developed.
Book 3 is too much drama, the story drags… London with such strong personality got push around AND Crewe was so meek… grrrr…

Oh geez, one of the most boring trilogies I've ever read. Loved Crewe's character. Absolutely, hated London's character. I hated her. Once again poorly edited and loads of grammatical errors that even 5th graders would know not to make.

Authors can't rely solely on AI's; you have to edit and know the english rules yourself. Rolling my eyes. Normally, this type of thing doesn't bother me. Once in awhile you know one is going to slip through, it happens. But chapter after chapter. No. It gets annoying trying to read after a while and disrupts the whole flow of a book. The rhythm of reading. Ugh. Very unprofessional.

5 STARS! This series was so good. I honestly couldn’t put it down. It captured my full attention from book one. Penelope keeps you guessing to what happens next. So much angst. I was hott & crying by the end of this series. All characters were entertaining to learn about. London & Crewe are insanely in love. After all the trouble her brother caused at the end of book 2. Crewe wanted nothing to do with London. Even after she pointed a gun at her brother because he wouldn’t back off. Crewe was so stubborn. Ariel was a cold hearted witch. London shines the most in this last book. I was crying at the end and no book has ever made me tear up. That’s how much this story moved me. True love 🥰 The Angst was at a 10 in this one. Which I love. What’s true love without hott sex. Anyways this series is so worth every moment & penny spent. I am sad that it had to end. Now I’ll go look for another Penelope Sky book to sink my heart into. Highly Recommend!

The conclusion of the Scotch series is the end all. It is lusty, sensual, thrilling and most of all gripping.

Crewe is unable to live without London. He is stoic about it and will not share his feelings with anyone, least of all Ariel. His whole life has imploded. How many times can people possibly let him down and leave him?

In the meantime, London is feeling the same withdrawal emotions. She is surviving and working in New York, but her heart is not in it. She never realized just how much Crewe had her under his spell. After analyzing her feelings, she just has to admit finally she is hopelessly in love with him.

These two lovers cannot stay apart, but how can they stay together? His life and work are in Scotland. Her studies and career are in New York. If she is ever going to convince him to take her back, will they be able to compromise? Crewe has a history of stubbornness. Once Josephine dumped him, he would never take her back. London must come up with a way to convince him of her love for him. It comes with one caveat... he must respect her freedom.

I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down. These are all strong characters with a lot to lose. Add to this mix Ariel who is so dead set against anything to do with London. The barriers keeping these two lovers apart appear unsurmountable.

Definitely, this book is recommended to all reader over 18.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

After finishing the Scotch Queen, I would be lying if I said I was anxiously waiting the last book.

I had so many questions. How can a third book be possible after what happened at the end of the third book? How could he ever forgive her and work it out with her? He loved her but did he still? She betrayed him. Would he feel the same as he did with Josephine? Indifferent? I needed answers!

London is back is America but she doesn't feel happy. She realizes she is in love with Crewe and goes to explain herself which doesn't work out so well. She takes a job close to him for a month but that doesn't pan out either. He returns to America and moves on when Crewe shows up. He finally stopped being stubborn. But Ariel and his men will not be happy about this new development.

Crewe knows he can't live without her. She makes him happy something he didn't know he needed until he finally felt it.

Words can not describe my emotions for this book. I was thinking there is no way this is going to work! Alot of things were against them. Ariel was a big one. She didn't trust London. I can understand why but she did prove her loyalty.

By 80% on the book, I was intently reading thinking ‘this isn't going to happy ending. When will Crewe find out she was lying? When will Crewe finds out about Ariel’s hand in his heartbreak cause he is going to find out...right? He NEEDS to find out.’

Such an emotional roaster. London made some mistakes yes but she was still compassionate person. She showed she was the bigger women. I don't know if I'd be able to reach out to Ariel after. I can't stop raving how amazing this book- no this series is.

Though I have to wonder after the Epilogue, what happened with Ariel? Did she ever get married? Did they have the same relationship again or even years later, it was still a work in progress?

I am so sad it had to end. I wish there was more.

Penelope Sky is you ever read this, I need more Crewe. And I think you are an amazing author. I always devour your books whenever I get them..which leaves me sad cause I always have to wait for the next installment.

Honestly, I really loved this book and am torn about whether or not it deserves five stars. London is free and Crewe is angry. They are apart but unable to ignore the all-encompassing feeling of having known and lost their soulmate. The push and pull between them was truly entertaining, alternating between sweet and sad, romance and angst.

For me, London shines again. Strong and strong-willed, she does everything she can to mend broken bridges. But when Crewe offers to give her back her old job as “slave” she draws the line and gives him heck for it. She has self-respect and integrity. Crewe finally gets his head on straight, choosing love over royal tradition and finally finding that good heart that London kept telling him was hidden inside.

So why did the last book lose a star? Well, I feel that not every villain in this story deserved to be part of the HEA and that left a very bitter taste. It felt like the ending was ruined.

The author did a fabulous job of vilifying Ariel (Crewe’s business partner/subordinate) and painting her as a heartless sociopath:

Book 1 “You expect me to care just because I’m a woman? I don’t care about your problems. Whine to someone who gives a damn.”

Book 2 “It can’t be a medical school dropout from Brooklyn.”

Book 3 “You should have sold her to Bones.” (This last one is the cruelest of all considering what they all knew about Bones’ latest victim.)

London values Ariel because she is “the only family” that Crewe has. But the reader never gets a sense of why that is the case. She’s an employee with an inflated ego. Her actions demonstrated cruelty, selfishness, arrogance, disrespect, and inability to compromise. Ariel and Crewe should have parted ways. Hugs are okay. Going to each other’s weddings is okay. But putting her back in a position of authority? No way. She can’t be trusted. London’s soft-heartedness and forgiveness aside, she will never be safe from someone who is so immoral and self-important.

Holy hot sauce this book was bomb dot com!!! The more I read & know about Crewe in London the more I love them. Even crazy Arial. This was such an amazingly, awesome, panty melting, twists and turns kinda book. I know I keep saying it and I'm going to keep saying it, IF you have not started this series you definitely need to. This is a page turner and keeps getting better and better the more you read it. I have no idea what Penelope is doing to us but, she definitely has a way with words that just draws you in and makes you devour every single thing she writes about. Penelope's Button and Lace series is just as scorching hot!!! Each one of these books picks up right where the other one leaves off. You will NOT be disappointed. I GUARANTEE it!

I am so angry that this story is over. I enjoyed this story. I don't know how I felt when a London expected all to be forgiven so fast. That is the only thing that bothered me. Other than That, I didn't want it to be over. such an amazing book and I loved how it ended. can we revisit them again?? Please.

Everyone deserves a second chance and the Scotch series is all about second chances and forgiveness.
This is such a heart achingly, beautiful love story. I absolutely loved Londons character as she was so strong but had an unlimited capacity for forgiveness and compassion. Crewe was every bit the alpha hero with a wounded vulnerable hidden side. Both Crewe and London would do anything for one another and I enjoyed reading their story through everything life threw at them. I was glad each character stayed true to themselves and learnt to get along with one another in the end.
Another fantastic series by Penelope Sky.
