Stephanie Hudson is a #1 Amazon bestselling Author. She had dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia, has turned into a life's dream.
Afterlife is the first book in the series of 12 books, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart. The Transfusion Saga will also be a 12 book series once book 12 is released in May 2021. Other spin -off books and series are also available with lots more planned.
When not writing, Stephanie enjoys chatting with her fans and spending time with her friends. Being with her loving family as much as she can including her wonderful daughter Ava, sons Jack and Halen and supportive husband and personal muse Blake, who is there for her no matter what.
I really enjoyed the variety of directions the story could have taken. They made for an interesting and thrilling read.
My favourite forbidden chapters were the ones revolving around Lucius and Keira: 'The Bloody Vampire Massacre', 'Clean Captive' and, of course, the last two, 'Vampire Date' and 'Dirty Dancing'. I must admit that the Dirty Dancing chapter was a bit cheesy, but I still loved the idea of Lucius and Keira going on a date.
I know that the author never intended for Keira and Lucius to be together, but dear god, I wish she had. Lucius may be a dangerous and arrogant alpha male, but then again, so are most of the other male characters around Keira. Especially those with great power. Yet the extra chapters paint a picture of a man who tries to spare Keira unnecessary violence and is less possessive and overbearing than Draven. He even tries to teach her self-defence. I loved all these aspects, and I felt that this side of Lucius would contribute greatly to Keira’s personal growth and her journey towards becoming a stronger, more independent woman. Le sigh. What can I say? I just love the Luc!
Although this is officially the thirteenth volume in the series, it makes the most sense to read this book directly after The Triple Goddess because its chapters refer directly to content from the previous books.
Story: 3.5 ⭐️ Spice: 2 🌶
German version:
Ach, was soll ich sagen?
I've given this book a 5 star as it thoroughly deserves it, as do all of the afterlife saga books, all the ' other endings' or different outcomes' just give you something to think about and how different the whole story could have gone,, absolutely loved it and can't wait for more,, excellent work Stefanie xx
No matter what when I reach the end of any of the installments all I want is more. More Draven, more Keira, more Pop and Adam. Just more. Thank You Stephanie for sharing these Chapters. They are fun but I want more.
Even though there were supposedly “new” chapters there wasn’t anything really “new”. I was a bit disappointed…🥺 And still this stupid thing the characters do, out of the blue, saying a single sentence in a different language!… I can’t evaluate the languages I don’t speak (like Persian, for example) but as far as those I know very well are concerned there were really really horrible translations!😖 Please, stop doing that Stephanie or ask someone who speaks the language to give you the right translation…
It's not often an Author chooses to release chapters they've pulled from books with insight as to why. An excellent and fun read! If your torn between the male characters in this story, I'm not sure if the chapters would tip the scales in either Dominic or Lucius favor as they are both drool worthy and of course there are the other lovable characters in these forbidden chapters! After reading these you will understand as to why she pulled them. To imagine where the story could have taken us, as opposed to where the story has led us, is pretty awesome! Ultimately, I agree with Stephanie's decisions to both pull them and share them with the Afterlife family! Thank you Stephanie you're amazing! (The Lady has mad skillz xx)
As always, Stephanie gets 5 stars from me. I think she did the right thing not including these chapters although the one were Lucius goes on a killing spree, that one would have fit into book3, too. What I didn't like was the part where Draven and Keira talk about the muppet show, I think it was a bit childish and way too long. Other than that, I also loved the strip show :) But one thing I need to mention: AGAIN the german translations are horrible. I'm a native, and I already found lots of mistakes in the few German sentences used in the other books. Seriously, the google translator can't be that bad... Sometimes there are words that don't even exist in the German language. So, Stephanie if you read this, please contact me, I'll gladly translate for free!!!
Another awesome add to the series. True fans will love this collection of missing chapters that didn't make it to the final books for the series (#1-3). This is definitely worth the buy if you want to enrich the Afterlife Universe and know more, but you don't have to read/buy this to enjoy the books and series as they are now. You can read this on it's own, read it after the first 3 books, or jump back and forth during the book to tie in each chapter. There is no specific way to do it and you'll still enjoy it. Can't wait for the next.
I was about to begin reading the Afterlife Saga all over again but changed my mind to read this first. So welcome to find lots more on Lucius, who is my own guilty pleasure, and I think knowing the alternative chapters will only now enhance my return to the final version. Heaven (or Hell) only knows how often I will be drawn back, irresistibly, to the wonderful Beings that are Afterlife.
This may have been just the cut chapters but WOW. These chapters have been cut from the books but they just show how very talented Stephanie Hudson is as again I could not put this down. Amazing talent to keep an audience so captivated by just certain chapters that did not make it to the books. Love them and please keep them coming.
It just made me want the next book even more. Fun chapters and great explanations on the whys those scenes were cut out. Love getting these alternate stories for Keira, a lot of them which exploted other sides of each character. I love this saga and every story behind it. The heart it comes with is not seen in a lot of books.
I've read all of Stephanie Hudson's books and I love them all. They are a glorious ride that you can't put down, This book is no different. It has highlights of the books and what Draven and Keira was thinking along the ways. I loved it. and by the way until Stephanie writes more I'm going back and reading them again . I am stuck on her brilliant writing great job Stephanie...
Amazing loved these forbidden chapter and yes I fell in love more with lucius how could I not. Stephanie Hudson is a very talented author and if you haven't read any of her work then Start with afterlife it is amazing
I did not think I would like this book as its hidden chapters from the books. But it was bloody brilliant and makes me want to read them all again. I enjoyed this book so much thank you x
Stephanie Hudson does it again. Another great read. Love the fact I got to read chapters that were cut from the book. Makes me want to re-read the whole saga again. 10 out of 10.
It is always neat to see how writers come up and eliminate parts of their books. I am a terrible writer so this fascinates me. It makes me want to go back and re read the series again.
Absolutely loved this series. Definitely one of my most favorite. Amazing world building, fantastic characters, lots of sexy men, and tons of turmoil. I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a great read.
I love this saga and writer! This book adds to that I lovevthat its chapters that couldn't go into the final books with the personal touch of notes from the author. I love seeing the different sides to these characters.
I love the idea of what if... Stephanie had so many ways that Kiera's journey could have gone. I like reading what she dreamed up.. especially loved seeing Lucius' softer side!!
What a great read of the chapters that didn't make the books, brilliant as Stephanie changes her mind to how she wants the storys to go and go they did. Every book and series are unbelievable ,books you re-read again and again .
Loved reading more about Lucius and Dominic and how the story could have gone. Makes me love them more. Keep it coming stephanie can't get enough of them. Can't wait for the next book.
I enjoyed reading these deleted chapters and it was interesting to read the authors thoughts on why she had decided to cut them out. Some of the chapters were so intense or funny, and while I can see why she made the decision to leave them out, i’m glad I got to read them
The forbidden chapters are amazing. They give you so much insight to how things could have been. They made me fall in love even more with the characters.
