Fuck this book.

The H made a bet that he can get a woman to fall in love with him, to sell some bullshit 'womens' apps, he wants to put his Exgirlfriends name on them.

She will only agree with it if he gets a woman to actually fall in love with him.

So he hires a personal assistant with the purpose of wooing her to love him.

She walks into his house on her first day to see him having sex with another woman across his desk. And instead of walking away, she stays to watch, aroused???? And they pretend nothing happened,... what the fuck? What woman would fall in love with this man? And what man would think that's a good first impression on someone who he NEEDS to fall in love with him??? It's okay though, because he's hot and that turns her on.... gaaaaaaag. She needs a kick in the ass, and he needs to get checked for STDS.

And this is the first couple pages of the book.

Rocky start, but I kept on.... shouldn't have because it became VERY APPARENT very quickly in the book that the writing is amateur. The tone was that of a horny teenage boy, and a SERIOUSLY STUPID also horny girl. I say boy and girl because they weren't anywhere near mature enough for adult thoughts/actions.

Then the H demands that the h go to a fundraiser with him, specifically AS HIS DATE. So he buys her a gown, and she's magically changed into a super beautiful woman. To get her jealous he purposely flirts with another woman, and asks her if it's okay for him to go off with said woman.... didn't even catch if he slept with her or not. As that part was skipped.

Next thing ya know, they're back at his mansion, and she's drunk enough to not be able to walk by herself, and passed out on the couch at the fundraiser..... to which he points out that she embarrassed herself.... super classy dude. She blames him for going off with another woman, he blames her for LETTING HIM, and then even though she's drunk he decides that because she asks for a kiss (seriously at this point what fucking woman would want ANYTHING to do with this douche?), she's sober enough for him to have sex with.

And this folks, is where I throw in the towel. Fuck this guy. Fuck this stupid stupid stupid girl. And fuck this book. Just FYI, this is only the first four chapters. I applaud anyone who can get to chapter 18 without pulling out their hair.

To trust or not? Let me get a YES!

I truly did enjoy this book, Grant and Abigail’s story was sweet but different. I really would like to know if Nathan knew of the plan before allowing Abi to go and stay with Grant... if so that is a messed up friend. I will say that I am glad the author touched on some amazing facts about how minority’s hide who they really are in order to try and fit in to what is the norm. It is sad that we have to stoop to that level.
In this book, Grant is trying to make a name for himself without his families help. In order to do that he thinks an app with a famous woman’s signature on it will help, the hiccup the famous woman is his ex and will only agree if he can get a woman to fall in love with him. Kind of a beauty and the beast twist, but I compare everything to that...lol.
Abi eventually figures out what his original plan was despite of how she feels now. Even with all the surprises she doesn’t know if she can trust him.
I only gave this book 4 stars because the F bomb was like Grants favorite word and I am all for so,e profanity but it was on EVERY FREAKING PAGE.. or at least it felt that way. Besides that a good read!

Play Thing by Kira Blakely a winning five star read. Kira Blakely has fast become the author I tell people they must read when they ask for a recommendation, I have loved everything I have read by her and this is no exception. It’s a standalone read, but you may have seen one or two of the characters in Untamed by Kira Blakely.
Grant Ainsworth Herbert is a man with a plan, his grandfather threatens to cut him off so he goes out of his way to prove he doesn’t need him, but in doing so he has to get a woman to fall in love with him. Grant must get a woman to love him after he asks his ex to help him by putting her name on his app, but after he broke her heart she won’t let him off easy. The woman he chooses is his new PA.
Abagail Gomez simply thinks she is starting a new job, but when it develops into so much more her life starts changing quicker than she can imagine, the problems she faces will bring her to a place where her life may never be the same, secrets will be revealed and she will be shaken. Will Grant be there to pick her up, or will she pick herself up?

This was a great read that I finished in one sitting, I really enjoyed the characters and how even the outer ones had some depth to them. I think Abigail and Grants characters were flawed like how both of them would get flustered to some extent around each other but not want to admit what they were feeling. What was once a game to get ahead in his business is now so much more for Grant whether he wants it or not. The story flows so well and progresses at a great pace that has you glued to the page to see what will happen next.

How do you make someone fall in love with you without falling for them first? That's the question Grant deals with in this story, as his unexpectedly deep attraction to Abby has him rearranging all his priorities and purposes. Abby is not the quick and easy type that Grant is accustomed to, and that is what makes her perfect for his plan. His heart, on the other hand, has a different plan in mind.

This was a fun book to read (I loved Roger as sidekick/advisor) because it had plenty of steam and even more heart. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Sexy and surprisingly well rounded, well fleshed out characters. I love that the heroine is Filipina. I rarely find heroines of my ethnicity in romances, or any books for that matter, so it's great that The Game not only has a Filipina heroine, but a great heroine at that!

I liked this one. I thought Grant and Abigail were perfect for one another. Neither was looking for love, but they fell in love with each other. Mistakes were made, people tried to break them, but they pulled through together. I enjoyed and I definitely enjoyed the other characters as well. Good romance read with some nice steam mixed in.

What started out as a way to prove his worth to his grandfather, so he isn't cut off from his money, becomes so much more when he find out that there is more to Abby than being a great PA. Grant is in need of a woman to pose as his "lover" for his grandfather, after he ticks off his last girlfriend she isn't willing to help him out, so he finds a person that will "work" for him and then no emotional entanglement will get in the way. Abby thought that she was going to be working as a PA for a rich and spoiled man, she doesn't have any fanciful ideas that there could be more. After tragic life circumstances Abby is trying to move on, that is until her past confronts her. Will Grant be there to help her or is Abby on her own again.

This is a great book that is intense from the very beginning. Kira is an awesome writer that captures your imagination and takes you along for the ride. Ups and downs you are never disappointed. I voluntarily read a copy and love it, I always wonder on what inspires a title and this title is spot on.

I enjoyed this book about a CEO, Grant, and the woman he hires, Abby, to be his personal assistant but he has another agenda for her as well. Unfortunately she is a tough woman and getting her to fall in love with him is a bit harder and soon he starts to feel for her as well. As their relationship progresses and he lands the deal he needs, nothing seems to be able to stop them until she finds out the real reason he hired her. Upset and alone she leaves him but Grant won't give up because his feelings are real. Will she go back to him?
A great read with steamy scenes a bit of suspense and a thorough story spanning a couple of years to the end. At first I didn't like Grant and the way she first meets him in the library but he grew on me after a while and I also enjoyed the fact that even though there was some drama between them, it wasn't over exaggerated.

I enjoyed this story. Abby tries to deny her heritage, hating how she was treated growing up. Grant is looking to use her heritage for his own personal gain. He believes that she will be the one he can manipulate into fooling his ex girlfriend who he wants to endorse his business since she is an admired business women. His ex has told him he must make someone fall in love with him before she will endorse his business. Since Abby denies her people she also denies who she really is and tries to hide behind trying not to stick out. She is strong due to her past, but this is a must read to find out just how much stronger she becomes because Grant tries to trick her. Also, will Grant's game be enough or will he fall victim of his own game? Who's past will truly hold them back more? Who truly makes who stronger?

Wow, this is more than a 'Game'. Well there is also the game of life and this story explains so much of that for Abby Gomez and her boss Grant Herbert. What starts off as Grant making a bet to get Abby to fall in love with him develops into so much more. Abby has had quite a troubled life but Grant has secrets too. Families can be complicated sometimes and these two seem to have hit the jackpot, both good and bad. A story of love, passion, drama, secrets, danger and so much more. Just when you think things will settle...wham !!! Something else comes out of the woodwork. A fantastic read but have to add, it would be great to read more on Roger and oh not forgetting the sexy Dr. Norwood....hot, hot, hot. Loved it all.

I loved this book. Abigail thinks she's starting a job as a personal assistant to Grant Ainsworth Herbert but she's not. She's a pawn in a game between Grant and an ex girlfriend that he wants to do a business deal with. If Grant can manage to get a woman to fall in love with him then he ex will agree to a business deal with him. However what Grant didn't foresee happening was actually falling in love himself. This was a great read I finished it in one setting. The heat between Abigail and Grant steamed the pages. The supporting characters were even likable and made the story come to life more. If you haven't read anything by this author this is definitely a great book so start off with.

OMG! I just love this book. At first I wasn't sure if I could read it. Especially the scene in his office when they first meet. But I kept going and boy was I sure glad. There are some twists to this book that I didn't see coming. I fell in love with Abby and her generous nature. Grant on the other hand took some time. Which is unusual as I always seem to fall for the hero!!! But Grant soon warmed my heart and I felt he was worthy of Abby. There are a few secondary characters that I hope get a book (Roger and Dr. Norbrook!!!!)

I highly recommend this book to anyone.

This book was interesting. I liked the premise, and it seemed intriguing. I just didn't quite feel the sexual tension and chemistry between Abby and Grant that I was expecting. Abby seemed almost robotic, and some explanations weren't given for her behavior. The game itself wasn't made clear either, but the hints we were given were meant to draw the reader in. Once I got deeper into the story, I did enjoy it, but I would have liked to feel a little more connection between Grant and Abby. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Kira Blakely writes great storylines that make you want to continue to read until the very end to see how this plays out.
What starts out as a challenge from an ex girlfriend turns into the real thing.
Challenge-- make a woman fall in love with you. Easy right? You're rich, handsome and a playboy that has women dropping their panties & spreading their legs for you.
The perfect woman only she doesn't want you. How to get this one woman to love you. Both need to open upp about the past to move toward the future and then both find love together.

I so loved Abby in this story. She is a no take prisoners kind of girl when it comes to her bosses. But when she meets Grant and he tries to get to know her as a friend, she thinks he might just be different.
I liked how this book was a nice burn with a great heat in it. The sex is hot and the story keeps you going. These two characters each have a past that makes their future hard on them. The story on how these two work past their past and move forward is just beautiful.

Grant is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. The game is on when he makes it his goal for Abby to fall for him. For once a woman does not succumb to his charm. Abby's past has made her strong and she refuses to be anyone's plaything. The one thing Grant didn't plan for was the possibility he would fall for Abby. What started as a game turned in to more than he ever expected. The chemistry between Gabe and Abby was amazing. The twists I didn't see coming kept me hooked until the very end. This is amusing, dramatic, intense and hot. Grant is an obnoxious pig at the beginning of the book, but he did have a conscience when it came to Abby's feelings and he quickly learned that he did not like how he felt when he upset her. He became funny and romantic eventually. Abby is full of fire and sass, along with vulnerability because of a traumatic past. It's a captivating story that's even more intriguing with the twists in it. It's a great love story that I enjoyed reading.

The Game by Kira Blakely is a great book. Fun and sexy this book is also well written. The story is about a bet. To get what he wants Grant takes a bet that he can't make a woman fall in love with him. Being the womanizer he is he has no doubt he can pull it off. He makes his plan and picks Abby as his target. This is one fantastic book that has been well thought out
with quite a few twists and turns to keep you turning the
pages to the end of the book.
Abby has just started working for Grant but she did not know
the real reason she was working for him.
Grant and Abby both had real rotten childhoods will they be able
to see their way through every thing to get the happy ending the both deserve.

I loved this story! It pulled me in and I just couldn't put it down. Like the blurb said, I had to stay up to finish. It's now way past my bed time but it was so worth it! There were some twists and turns that kept my interest and I wanted to know more. I also loved Abby and Grant. Their chemistry was amazing. I can't wait for the next book by this author.

To get his ex to endorse his apps he has to get a woman to fall in love with him.

I like this books spin. He needs help from his ex. So the bet is on. His ex wants him to hurt like he hurt her. It's a little convoluted, especially when old girlfriend and new love become good friends. Up down in out definitely works on this book.

These two characters are very strong and the chemistry between them is hot. Both have family they have to deal with as well as having to make what they have work. There are issues they overcome and in the end it all works out for them. I loved this book.
