When I read a fact regarding the LION who loves Beethoven in "Help!" (Page 128) I lost all faith in this book. I just hope that's the only big mistake!

Not very many revelations to anyone who is familiar with the Beatles’ work. The only thing I “learned” was the name of the person who, in the early 17th century, originally wrote the lyrics to “Golden Slumbers.” I had forgotten his name. Also, there are a few mistakes in the book. I don’t at all mind the bullet-point style of presenting the information and I think the book could be interesting to someone who is a casual fan and has not read much about the Beatles.

I see this book has been out for quite awhile, but since I only just got around to reading it I feel compelled to review it as Something New, (U.S. Beatles album title – did you know that?). Most of the information in this book was either already known by loyal Beatles fans before publication, or easily found in other sources. It was still a very enjoyable book to read for Beatles fans. If you’re not a fan, I highly doubt you would get through it. It would be like a non-baseball fan trying to read the Baseball Encyclopedia.

Since this book was read in locations such as on a treadmill or in various waiting rooms, etc… I wasn’t able to keep exact notes or page numbers about this matter, but I did catch myself a few times questioning the validity of dates for certain events. As a Beatles fan who does know a lot about the group, I know there were mistakes.

But again – as a Beatles fan – I enjoyed it.

With this being the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming into our lives, and being the Beatlemaniac that I've remained,I must review at least one of the many books being published this year to mark the occasion. This small book didn't hold too many new revelations for me, but it was quite easy to read. There were several errors that shouldn't have passed a true editor. The book says it's a "...compendium of witty, weird and ever-surprisisng facts..." but I'd say it's more a rehash of previously printed facts. If you don't know much about the group, then you will enjoy some of the entries.

This was a nifty little read. Compilation of various Beatles facts, ranging from facts about their wives to those about their legal troubles. I don't think I would classify Every Little Thing as a must read.

But it's always nice to show off the random shit you know about your favorite bands---right?

If you devour every book about the Beatles, as I do, you will probably not find much to surprise you here. Still, there are a few gems and tidbits to catch Beatles fans by surprise. But if you know nothing at all about the Beatles, this is a great place to start.

Not a lot of new information, but I still enjoyed reading it. The book is written in spurts of short facts, rather than in narrative style, interesting way to tell the story.

For a Beatles fan, interesting collection of factual tidbits, many of which I never knew.

Read ebook version. I would of thought it would updated for events of the past decade. Not many revelations for fans and not much literary merit for new to the Fabs.
