Rewind ten years Two weeks before her wedding, Arnett Sawyer is dragged by her best friend into a nightclub to make a final run at her bachelorette days. This is not just any nightclub, it’s an open atmosphere of perversion where anything between consenting adults can take place. Arnett has been led to believe that her fiancé, Yorick Benson is in Fort Lauderdale on a business trip, only to discover that he is frolicking in the same club she’s been dragged into. And as if that isn’t enough to incite madness, Yorick is doing more than simply frolicking with another woman. He is fully engaged in a forbidden act. Hurt, confused, and feeling the ultimate betrayal, Arnett’s heart darkens with a ravenous lust for revenge.
Fast forward ten years, in a twist of fate, the woman responsible for stealing Arnett’s man that night at the club is about to be wed to the bishop of the church that Arnett attends with a man she married on the rebound. She sees the announcement on her Facebook Rosalind Blue, getting married to Bishop Gary Benson. Rosalind may have truly turned her life around and is looking forward to her new life, but Arnett sees an opportunity not only to expose Rosalind’s secrets, but to utterly annihilate any chance of her happiness.
In line with her character, where she exploits people’s private affairs for the enjoyment of her own misery, she unleashes her wrath. It is one thing when the church has marked her as a troublemaker, but when her own husband agrees, it is downright hell. But Arnett is determined to execute her plan and she has resolved that nothing and no one is bad enough to stop her. In this fast-paced, entertaining read by H. H. Fowler, you have not seen a troublemaker until you’ve met Arnett Sawyer!
This was a good read, but i found myself having to read it in doses. Arnett was just too toxic for me to take in at times, found myself praying for her fictitious character at times...lol. My motivation to continue was to see her reap what she sowed. I know i asked if someone could be that evil, and i know the answer is yes. Unfortunately when people are hurt, they hurt others. Love the message of forgiveness in this book and also redemption.
I've read a few of Fowler's works and the one thing that stands out is there's a lesson to be learned. Unfortunately for this troublemaker, the need for revenge brought a very hard and debilitating one. I love how Fowler used Facebook as the troublemaker's mode of operation. It gave her such a wide audience, increasing her thrill for bringing anyone down. She should have listened to all the warnings she was given, for surely what goes around comes around. Enjoyed this read. Highly recommended.
This book was great! It allowed us to see how a person haughty person falls and how Christians struggle with living and doing God's will. It is a must that Christians grow in God. They must forgive in order to live. Excellent book!
Very entertaining, but that Arnett is an evil witch and she got what she deserved. It's a shame that there are people like her that think it's their place to expose someone else's business instead of minding their own and focusing on their own self development.
Arnett Sawyer was head over heels in love with Yorick, and was set to marry him. Arnett went to a nightclub with her friend and almost had a heart attack. Arnett saw her fiancé; Yorick having sex at the club with Rosalind Blue. Arnett almost lost her mind, but she was out for revenge; a woman scorn. After 10 long years Rosalind is engaged to be married to Bishop Gary; over Arnett’s dead body. Arnett set out to stop the wedding of Rosalind and Bishop. Rosalind lived a rough life, but she turned from her ways and gave her life to God. The Bishop is not aware of Rosalind’s past, but Arnett tries to make it known, by posting things on social media. Arnett is still holding a grudge from years ago, and is known as a troublemaker but everyone. Good read…
The book was good although I could not finish this book quickly which is not like me, this book was letting people know not to mess with God's people and God does not like ugly treat people mean and you will get back double what you have dished out. I liked Pastor Gary and his fiancee Roseline who did not want to marry Gary as what she had done in the past someone was willing to make it public again even though God had renewed her life. I also liked Gary's brother Yorick, he know what he had done in the pass and when he had the ............ don't want to spoil it for you readers. All I can say is what every has happened in the past leave things in the past as when you drag up the pass it comes back to bite you harder than ever.
I thought the book was a bit entertaining. However there were alot of editing errors which took away from the reading experience. The book toyed with your emotions because it made you wonder if there truly is people out there like this. Overall, this book was recommended by a friend, but not sure if I would have selected it myself to read. I have gotten away from this type of fiction writing years ago, but if you like drama filled books then you will not be disappointed in your reading.
I read this book really, really fast, couldn't put it down. It's amazing how unforgiving can destroy your life. Arnett had harboured so much hate in her heart, it was unbelievable. She was the trouble maker from hell. Ten years had passed and she still holding on while others had moved on in spite of. What was interesting is how karma came back on her in the worst way possible. I often read H.H Fowler books and as usual, I'm never disappointed.
Reminds me of someone I know.. This Arnette character was truly a damn messy assed mess. She reminds me of someone I am related to & that is so horrible. I had a feeling about 'The Moroccan Beauty'.. lol.. The nerve of Arnette. smdh. I can't say much more. But.. if you want to read some 'Tea'..read this. And I was hoping somebody would have whipped her ass. lol
A lot of twists in this book. The characters were true to form and I could relate to them all - from the twin brothers to Arnett. We all could be a troublemakers because gossip can be so cruel but we must reap what we sow - good or bad. Read the book!
This story rambled and ambled along throughout the story. The secular and spiritual parts of the story clashed a few times. I never made a connection with a single character in this story.
This was my first time reading a book by H.H. Fowler and it was an excellent read. The couples in this book had several issues and very poor communication skills. Fowler has done an excellent job with grabbing your attention and keeping it until the end. I look forward to reading more books by him.
I truly loved this book. It was so refreshing than the usual whorish preacher man. I cannot wait for part 2 because I absolutely loved all these imperfect characters
I️ throughly enjoyed this story. It’s been said that revenge is a dish best served cold but the Bible says you reap what you sow. Arnett Sawyer definitely reaped what she sowed yet God still showed mercy.
This was my read from this author and an enjoyable one. I liked the character development and the build up to the resolution of all of their problems. Arnette most certainly got what she deserved. Good read.
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. All i can say is be careful because you reap what you sow. I love the characters and story line. What comes around goes around so when you try to expose someone else, you end up getting exposed yourself! Great read!
I HAVE READ MANY OF THIS AUTHORS BOOKS AND I ENJOYED THEM ALL. THEY HAVE GREAT STORYLINES AND GREAT CHARACTERS.BEST OF ALL THEY ARE CHRISTIAN WHICH I ENJOY MOST OF ALL.GIVE THEM A TRY.
Arnett Sawyer was a sneaky, unforgiving person. I thought she found God and would learn to forgive, but no. She was all about revenge and KARMA found her. Lovely read by H.H. Fowler. So far each book gets better and better.
This was a great read. A lot of life lessons can be learned about anger, secrets, forgiveness and love in this story. I really was not expecting the Briana twist. This was my first time reading any of this author’s work but it won’t be the last.
