Seven is an enigma. A motorcycle club princess. The daughter of a notorious gangster. The best friend of the deputy mayor. A coffee shop owner. The single mom of two young, adopted children. She’s colorful, in every way possible—from her attitude to her piercings and bright pink hair—and she’s a woman on a mission with the power to help broker a clean break between a powerful motorcycle club and a South American drug cartel. But not all players are ready for the game to change, including the ones she can’t see like the CIA. Jax Michaelson has a bad attitude and a good shot. The former Navy SEAL has been on Titan’s problem list for running his mouth since the day he showed up for work, but he does a hell of a job, and they’d never let him go. Call him cocky, that’s fine, because then you’d have to admit he’s the best at anything and everything—except diplomacy. When Titan is forced into the seedy drug world filled with cartel glitz and Harley-riding MCs, Seven and her family become an unexpected bargaining chip right after she and Jax find a way to stand each other—in bed. Will friends become lovers? Or are they too far gone to be opposites that attract? Is Jax nothing but a bad boy who leaves her hoping for a military hero when the burden of living as Mayhem royalty backfires and her children disappear.

Jax...My God! I cannot get through my work day without thinking about this story!
Bad Boy with a Bad Attitude meets Quirky, "I can handle anything you throw at me" Seven and sparks FLY! The Titan series as a whole is HOT but Cristin really has outdone herself with Jax.
Jax is the broody, full of piss and vinegar Titan member who it seems everyone barely tolerates. Finding out his backstory was so painful,. Everything about him becomes so clear and my heart bleeds for him.
Seven is a MC Princess who really does have it all together. She has a ton of baggage that at first looks like she balances well, until you realize what she has given up in the process.
Two broken souls come together in an explosive love story!
Jax Michaelson is cocky, broody, and closed off. He is noted to have a bad attitude and is not seen as a team player. His past is a big mystery, but it has made him the man he is today. He's empty, angry, void, and uncaring about his life or a future. He doesn't let himself get close to women, but one woman has the potential to challenge him and change that.
Seven is an enigma herself. She is Victoria's best friend and is the Mayhem MC Princess. She is flashy and edgy with her brightly colored hair and piercings. She is sassy, honest, smart, and likes to push back at him. But she is also a business owner, mother, and caretaker. Her past has also shaped and marked her. She does not do one night stands, but is also afraid of bringing someone new fully into her busy life. She has anxiety and control issues. And her world is about to spiral out of her control.
While Jax is at Ryder and Victoria's wedding in Sweet Hills, Iowa, he was hoping to spend some alone time with Seven even though she has been resistant to his advances. But he did not dream that it would come in the form of Titan getting involved in MC and Cartel business. But when she asks for help, he can't say no.
Before they know it they are spending quality time enjoying each other in the bedroom, but also dealing with situations that seem to keep escalating between several dangerous parties. As their pasts and presents collide, they get closer, but the stakes get higher. Trust is hard and believing that they can actually have something good can be harder.
They are playing a game with ruthless and powerful players. And the game they start out playing with each other ranges from pretend to almost to maybe real. They have great sexual chemistry, understanding, and challenge the other. She makes him feel alive and brings out more of his romantic, funny, sexy, and protective sides. Jax is the only choice she has been able to make on her own without outside influence. But with their lives in chaos and danger surrounding them and those they care about, it might just be too much for either of these emotionally challenged people to handle.
This brings back several Titan, Delta, and Mayhem characters from the previous books Delta: Redemption and Locke and Key. It is told in multiple points of view. It is funny, sexy, suspenseful, dramatic, and romantic. Who would have thought unfiltered, jerky Jax had a heart? I really enjoyed getting to see what made him tick and getting to see the softer and more real side of his personality. I loved him and Seven together. They were both tough, smart, and loving, even if they both had issues.
There are several story lines left somewhat open ended so I imagine we will be seeing more in the next book that was teased at between a couple of other side characters.
One consistent thing about Cristin Harber’s characters is that they do tend to behave in ways I’ll never expect. Jax and Seven are no exception to this general rule that I’ve come to learn of the Titan gang; neither is the direction that Harber takes in this book that completely surprised me. Characters whom you thought you can’t warm to can suddenly turn around and show that the notion of ‘heroism’ doesn’t always conform to some pre-determined idea that you have…though as much as I hate to say it, the opposite applies too.
Titan’s ops thus far have been more paramilitary covert ops, so when Jax’s story came wrapped up in a MC’s dealings, I couldn’t say I was entirely enthusiastic about this turn, but it’s clearly my own sub-genre preferences speaking here. Jax, the known arse and the bastard-to-go-to in the past few Titan books, had a story and I was itching to uncover it, and this itch surpassed even my general dislike for MC stories.
The result is an MC-centric book that I couldn’t really get into but for Jax’s and Seven’s dance around each other and the fact that they aren’t quite the stereotypical characters I tend to read in such stories. There is action, of course and Jared Westin's mobilisation of his Titan troops is always an awesome thing to read about, but that only comes much later...past the talking, posturing and the laborious sifting through truth and lies.
Above all, Jax made the story for me, as self-titled as this books is anyway, I didn’t expect anything different when Harber fleshed him out to be a protagonist who was so much more than his crusty, abrasive surface. I couldn’t quite say the same for the rest of the characters, who were simply varying shades of unlikable. In fact, I cheered Jax for giving it stubbornly to the Titan team who admittedly hadn’t been on his side to begin with and Jared/Sugar—a couple whom I’d adored when their book came out—behaved in fact, like idiots for most of this, tarnishing the sheen of the halo I’d initially put on them. Soon enough, it got just as hard to like Seven, whom I felt simply needed to grow a spine where Jax was concerned because she couldn’t decide where her loyalties were going to lie when it was all said and done.
‘Jax’ is a very different type of Titan book for which I needed a huge effort to suspend disbelief. That Jax's so-called mortal enemy was dealt with all-too-easily—he was flitted in and out, appearing to play an important role but didn't, and realising that he was ultimately, another plot device to help alter other characters' perception of Jax tanked the read for me.
But I’ll reiterate that my own response to the plot and characters is just that—a catalogue of issues that just didn’t work for me, which simply outweighed Jax as the shining star of his own book and explains my half-hearted rating of it.
I have been waiting to understand Jax since he was introduced with Locke and Bishop. Jax was a complete jerk to put it mildly so I knew there had to be a story there....and there was.
This is Jax and Seven’s book. These two are like a oil and water one minute and a powder keg and a match the next. And as far as Jax’s background, when the truth comes out my heart breaks and I want revenge!
There is a lot going on in this book. Ex’s, kidnappings, MC drama, daddy issues, just a lot...but for me it was ok and worked because Seven and Jax are both complicated people.
Previous books I didn’t really care for Jax, but now...he’s one of my faves.
I've met Jax before this book, but I didn't like him. We first meet his character in Bishops Queen, and have a few other encounters in Locke and Key, but I didn't like him through all of it. He was such a jerk and I thought there was no way Cristin could turn my opinion of him around. But I WAS SO WRONG. She did. She has developed this character so perfectly that I think he might be my favorite team member of all!!! **shhhhhh Don't tell Javier. Or Grayson. Or Bishop. ssshhhh!** When she brought his love interest in, I thought "No way." But I was wrong again. Jax and Seven are so perfect for each other!!! Like, I should really stop doubting little Miss Harber's wordsmithing skills. (not that I really do anyway, I stalk her too hard for that nonsense. ) Though this is the last book in the Titan series, it will stand alone just fine. You DO NOT have to read all of the other books first. JAX tells Jax and Sevens story perfectly, and doesn't confuse you with other characters backstories. Instead you get gentle introductions, which will make you want to go back and read them all, but it isn't necessary. All of my usual warnings for romantic suspense still apply here; graphic bloodshed, steamy sexy times with a bad-ass tactical gear wearing alpha male, and a metric sh*t ton of naughty language. ;) The only extra one to add with this novel is heavy drinking and implied drug use. Though I am a little sad that this may be the last "Titan" novel, I know this isn't the last of our favorite characters and I can't wait to see what else Harber has in store for us down the road. *coughs* vroom vroom. ;)
GENRES: romantic suspense, military romance AGES: 18+ WARNINGS: graphic sex and violence. Explicit language, heavy drinking, implied drug use. SERIES: yes! RATING: 5/5
Welcome to the Titan family Jax and Seven! Readers were first introduced to Jax and Seven in previous Titan/Delta books by Cristin Harber, and their continued story in Jax does not let us down. Jax is Titan’s resident loner jerkface; who is committed to his team and doing his job to the best of his ability. However, tragedy in his past has caused him to shut down emotionally. Seven is a single mother who is intent on putting everyone’s needs before her own and her allegiance to the Mayhem MC further complicates her life, and puts the ones she loves the most in harm’s way.
Jax and Seven spend a great deal of the book putting each other in their place, which definitely builds up the sexual chemistry between the two characters. Cristin has written another strong female character that can hold her own in the group of strong, alpha men. This book has a couple of sexy scenes, which had me ready to be pushed up against some glass. As well as a shocking mea culpa that has not been heard in any of the Titan or Delta series books. I can’t wait until the next book in the series!!!
While this book can be read as a standalone, it will definitely benefit you to read Delta: Redemption to better understand the back story for Seven and the Mayhem MC. This book is definitely worth your time and money!
That's what I kept feeling through the whole story: heart pounding excitement. Whether it was from fear of the unknown and twisted mind games, or from the heat of the moment, from the adrenaline highs to the swoony melting moments, Jax and Seven's story kept my heart racing from beginning to end.
I loved seeing Seven's young vulnerability, but yet mature strength. She is the perfect compliment to Jax. I saw alot of myself in her, with her quirks and desires.
Jax stole my heart with his determination, his convictions, his heart, his strength. Yeah, he has been known as the jerk with the attitude problem, but once you dig a little deeper.... Oye. Be still my heart.
As with every Titan book, I love finding myself pulled into the story to live and breathe everything Titan. Hearing Boss Man's words of wisdom, seeing the other team members, feeling the strength of the Titan bond, it always wraps my heart tight with warmth.
I giggled and cheered with all the Team Titan Easter eggs scattered throughout the pages. Such fun!
This is a Titan story not to be missed! While it is written as a stand alone, I think it reads better if you've at least read Delta Redemption first. And if you've kept up with the whole series, there's several cameos of favorite characters you'll enjoy all the more. I love seeing all the possibilities of where we're headed next!
Jax is one of Titan’s newer members, but they won’t let him go -- no matter how hard he runs his mouth or acts like a jerk. He has been flirting and verbally sparring with Seven since they met. Seven is a mystery unto herself. MC princess, business owner, and mother, she has many facets and just as many secrets.
These two are explosive together, but Seven isn’t good about letting go of control, and Jax isn’t good about holding anything back. Together, they act first and think second, something very out of character for Seven.
Jax turned into the perfect hero for Seven. He wasn’t smooth around any edges, and he didn’t mince his words, but he also made Seven take chance she wouldn’t have and gave her a support she hadn’t even received from her MC family. But even as the perfect hero, there is a lot to tackle when Titan is called in to mediate between the MC and the drug cartel.
I love returning to the Titan world, but this particular visit felt unfinished. Jax and Seven’s story is complete and wonderful. But parts of the backstory and the operational plot lines are not resolved in this book, nor did they even begin here. I guess I was mostly confused by the amount of Delta/Titan crossover in a Titan novel. I’m used to it in Delta novels, but not as much in Titan.
I look forward to seeing more from Jax and Seven, and learning more about Colin and Adelia in Delta: Ricochet, as well as seeing where certain events from Jax lead the Titan & Delta men and women.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit, I've been dying for Jax's story to find out what makes the man really tick. What causes that shit ass attitude. What makes him so damn sexy but a total dick in the process. In Jax we finally get into his brain. And it's awesome.
And Seven. Damn, that woman's been intriguing me since she was introduced in Delta Redemption, and I wasn't disappointed in learning what an amazing, kick ass woman she is. I loved how she didn't take any shit from Jax and gave back as good as she got. She was no doormat.
And Jax and Seven were amazing together. Smart, sexy, snarky and hot AF. I loved the involvement of the rest of the Titan team. So fun and surprising. I loved how they worked together. Loved how they just fit together and brought out the best in each other. Neither of them was looking for love, but whoa, did they fall!
I absolutely love this series. It just keeps getting better and better. ~ Missy, 5 stars
I loved it from start to finish. It was great having many of the Titan guys included, with reference made to others & Delta. Jax was an interesting character. His past wasn't what I expected, especially as he is such a cocky guy. The relationship between Seven and him was such that I kept wanting to find out what happened next. Although this could have been read as a standalone, I liked having background knowledge of most of the other characters. And Sugar!!! Love seeing her still keeping Jared on his toes.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A suspenseful and seductive military romance that'll set you on fire...
So, I'm still probably a little too excited about Jax (the character and book) to make any sense. But, here's me trying to tamp down my fire. I'm a massive Cristin Harber fan, like I love her LOVE her kind of thing. Maybe not as creepy as that sounded, but I love the boots off her. For me, she's one of those authors who can't go wrong. Her stories always grip me, even when I question where she could possibly go now or how on earth the story is going to pan out. She just gets me every single time, and Jax was no exception to that rule. I was completely hooked from beginning to end, and even after that. In my opinion this is one of the best Titan books to date, obviously Garrison's Creed and Hart Attack will always be my faves... oh, and Bishops Queen... Westin's Chase... bugger it, I love them all!
Anyway, back to Jax. This plot had me on tenterhooks the whole way through, the suspense was there from the beginning, and it carried beautifully throughout the entire novel. I suppose this comes as no surprise considering this is a Cristin masterpiece. To say that I enjoyed this plot would be an understatement. It had elements that screamed Westin's Chase, Winter's Heat and Garrison's Creed. It shouldn't have read as fresh and original as it did, but the whole MC element really brought a whole new dimension to the story. There were so many conflicting elements to this story, that it should've been a mess—complete havoc— however, it just gave it that sense of unease and disquiet. Personally I really enjoyed this and it was one of the things that kept me invested in this story.
When it came to the characters, boy this was one heavily populated book. Look, Titan has grown exponentially and it is definitely something that is obvious in Jax. It was great seeing Titan out in force, Jared and Sugar were on form and I just died with their roles in this story. There was a scene in particular that had me belly laughing so hard that I may have peed my pants! I was surprised that Victoria and Ryder weren't a bigger part of this story, however it really made the important parts of which they were a part of that much more significant. Christ, it's so difficult stay mum on this! Moving on to Jax the man... where do I even start? I was really intrigued by him in Delta: Redemption. I have to be honest, I knew I was going to like him. He has that cheekiness and banter that I love about Cash (Garrison's Creed) and an ego to rival that of boss man, Jared (Westin's Chase), but at the same time he has this humorous and kind side to him. He's this gorgeously multifaceted character that you can't help but fall irrevocably in love with the more you get know him. Not to mention that he is BAD. ASS. In my opinion he is one of the top three Titan alpha heroes. As for Seven... fan me now! This woman blew me away. She has so much spunk, yet her heart is humongous. Again she has that feistiness and fire that I love about Sugar and all the softness and heart that I love about Mia (Winter's Heat), yet her diplomacy is on par with Nicola and Beth. For me, Jax and Seven are the essence of Titan. They shouldn't work, they are complete opposites that somehow meld and mesh beautifully. Seriously, they are one of my favourite Titan couples without a shadow of a doubt.
Overall, Jax was nothing short of delightful. It had me on toes, it had me swooning and it set me on fire. The sex was hot, not just any kind of hot. It's the kind of heat that causes forest fires and is almost near impossible to put out. That hotel scene... F.M.L. I am in lust and love with Jax and Seven purely on that scene, the rest just cemented it for me! I loved this book so much. I find myself getting so excited whenever I think about it... AND I am now really looking forward to Collin and Adelia's story in Delta: Ricochet!
Not much strikes fear in me more than a favorite author saying her next book is a bit different than her others. After all, there’s a reason WHY the author is a favorite - and for Cristin Harber, the reason is because she has a fairly specific format she follows which I really, really like. But after reading everything Ms. Harber has ever published, I should know not to worry. However, she was right. Jax does start out differently than all the other Titan books.
Most Titan stories start out in a rush, right in the middle of some action. You have to hang on tight because there’s no easing into the plot. This time, we’re dropped into the middle of a wedding reception, and the main plot of the story is almost secondary. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. But then I completely forgot about it because, whoa, the chemistry between Seven and Jax was unreal. The other thing I love about Cristin Harber’s writing? Her amazing ability to develop characters and write hilarious, witty dialogue. And Seven and Jax, again, took things up a notch.
At any rate, despite my concerns, this book did follow the standard Cristin Harber Titan formula: the perfect blend of action filled plot, and steamy romantic times.
Jax and Seven have known each other for a couple of years now. The attraction to each other is mutual, but between Jax’s travels all over the world, saving the world, and all the responsibilities Seven has at her home in Iowa, it doesn’t give them much chance to explore things. When the motorcycle club Seven has grown up in is in need of Titan’s services, Seven is called upon by Mayhem to reach out to Titan and enlist their help. As they work together on Mayhem’s business, they finally give into their attraction and learn that what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas.
But their relationship is an example in contrasts: Jax acts like he’s cold and uncaring, and Seven cares too much for everyone around her. Both are deeply affected by their pasts and desperately need each other. And when the people who mean the most to Seven are endangered, Jax is there to save the day - because that’s what Titan men do.
I say it every time I write a review for this author: NOBODY does the military/romantic suspense better than Cristin Harber. I love her writing, I love her characters, I love the action packed stories, and I love how swoony the Titan men are with their women. So, while this book was maybe a little different, it still was everything I love about a Cristin Harber Titan book. The macho man, the kick-ass woman, and enough action and romance to make it hard to put the book down!
There’s nothing new about me reviewing a Titan novel. It’s been one of my favorite series for military romance for quite a while. Each book gets better and better, and this is especially true with Jax. To be honest, I didn’t think I was going to like Jax (the character, not the book!) AT. ALL. In all the other books he’s in, he’s such a jerk face that I was hesitant to even read this one. SO glad I jumped in anyway!
This book has the continuation and conclusion to the drug cartel drama we saw in Delta Redemption. So you really will understand the story better if you read that book first. But again, it’s technically a stand-alone book. But we first meet Seven in Delta Redemption, so I, again, highly recommend reading it first.
I think Jax is THE most misunderstood guy at Titan. No one seems to really like him, or trust him, and he can’t figure out why. As the reader, we see and understand why all the other Titan crew feels this way. But it’s all based on lies and deception, and you just want to yell at them to just stop the madness, including yelling this at Boss Man! Despite her outward appearance, Seven is pretty straight-laced, even if she has ties to an MC. She's got hot pink hair and is covered in piercings. But she's so much more than that. She’s responsible, caring, loving and loyal, even when people don’t deserve her love and loyalty. When you find out more about who these two characters are, they just fit together as a couple. Of all the guys at Titan, I would have never believed Jax would have turned out to be the guy he truly is….a trustworthy, honest, hardworking, likable guy. And he’s the one person who really believes in and supports Seven, besides her close friends in Idaho. Of course, this story also has mystery, suspense, and a rescue that involves all the men of Titan (and lots of things going boom!)
I know I’ve said it before, and I usually mean it at the time, but this book… this book truly is, by far, my favorite of all of the series. The main characters had so much more depth to them than you initially thought. The suspense was there from the beginning, so it pulled me in and kept me intrigued from the start. And even if part of the plot was predictable, it wasn't all that way. So I'm giving it a solid 4.75 stars, only because there was one plot twist that I saw coming from almost the beginning that took the suspense away in that one area. Despite that, it was still a page turner and didn’t seem to stall or drag in the storyline at all. All in all, Jax is a fabulous book and one I highly recommend, especially if you are already a Titan fan, like me!
This was such an amazing addition to the Titan series of books. This book was exciting with non stop action and hot romance as Jax and Seven get their unlikely happily ever after. Of all the Titan men Jax was considered a jerk by all standards but he had suffered through a tragedy that had left him cold and unfeeling until he met her Seven, Victoria's friend and Ryder's wife. For two years they had been teasing each other but at Victoria and Ryder's wedding when Seven slapped him was when he knew she liked him too. The problem was she had no time for herself after taking care of her kids, her mom and coffee shop. She also had to help the motorcycle club, Mayheim in whatever they asked of her because they were her family since her evil father was in prison. They wanted to get the club out of the illegal drug business and they needed Titan to help them negotiate their exit with the drug cartel. Hawke, MC president wanted Seven at the meetings and Jared, from Titan wanted Jax to go with him to teach him a lesson about dealing with people. This is where the story gets intense as Seven and Jax are forced together and actually fall in love. The cartel is set on stopping the Club from leaving as their drug distributor at all costs which involves killings, kidnappings and an all out confrontation with Titan as they get involved to save their own. This was just a fantastic novel as Seven, Bianca, Nolan and Jax become a family in the end as the Titan family tacked their most serious situation ever to save their lives by taking on the cartel. I highly recommend this novel and cannot wait for the next release in the Titan series.
Jax Michaelson is fascinated with the pink-haired spitfire named Seven Blackburn, even more so when she rebuffs his advances and slaps him. Something about the Mayhem MC princess makes him want to do dirty dirty things to her, and when the two are partnered up on a MC situation, he's a goner. Seven is thrilled that Mayhem is getting out of the drug business, less so that they've tapped Titan to help negotiate a peaceful end of relations with the cartel. But it's her men, her dad's club, and she'll do whatever needs done. She never expected to fall for the surly, sexy Italian warrior, but when he puts his own job on the line for her kids' lives, there's no turning back.
Ms Harber has done it again with JAX! She creates the sexiest, badass Titan characters over and over and I LOVE it! JAX is book 13 in the Titan series, which is one of my favorites! Each story sucks you in with smokin' hot sex, killer character development and suspense that has you ready to suit up and help. Seven was a seriously kick ass character. I loved the dichotomy of pink hair, piercings and MC royal lineage with the OCD coffee shop owner, mother and caretaker to both her mom and the kids she adopted. I had a tough time reconciling her badass'edness with her former marriage to Johnny. What a douche! Jax, however, was made for the tiny whirlwind. He gave zero fucks about her MC princess status and would partner up with any of the gang to keep his woman safe, even if it's from one of them. I love everything that Ms. Harber releases, and I can't wait for more!!
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; condom use; no BDSM/kink; no sexual assault; violence, murder.
Jax is the ninth title in the Titan series, by Cristin Harber. For anyone who enjoys a military romance, or romantic suspense this is the series for you. Although you could read Jax as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading the previous Titan and Delta books.
Jax and Seven are incredibly endearing and enigmatic characters. Both are incredibly complex, and have a lot going on beneath the personalities they project.
Jax is a former seal, brooding, cocky and closed off alpha. He's incredibly private, and although he does his job well, he doesn't go out of his way to connect with his teammates. He has a tendency to be quite egotistical and has a tendency to say what he thinks, without caring about the consequences or others feelings.
Seven is a multifaceted character. She's edgy, sassy, feisty, smart, and strong with a huge heart.
The past and present collide in this title, with captivating results. Action, danger, intrigue, secrets, heat, humor and romance abound. The plot is full of twists and turns and suspense, that throughout the story, you find yourself waiting for the other shoe to drop.
The chemistry between Jax and Seven is intense and undeniable. They challenge each other constantly both inside and outside of the bedroom. At times their realtionship can be quite combative as they have a tendency to push each others button.
Another completely enthralling and engaging Titan novel. I will be eagerly awaiting more of Cristin's work.
Jax is the latest book in Cristin Harber’s Titan Series. There are a lot of books in this series and there is a connection between them all that strengthens the overall message about family, friends, and loyalty. I have read most of the books in the series so I believe that they can be read as standalones although you would feel more of a connection if you read them all in order. The world within Titan is very intriguing and every book focuses on a different Titan operative along with their future lover.
In this installment, Jax Michaelson is tasked with helping to broker a transition away from the drug trade for a motorcycle gang named Mayhem that distributes drugs for some unrelenting Colombians. As if that wasn’t complicated enough, Jax ends up falling for Mayhem’s princess, Seven Blackburn. Both Jax and Seven have a bunch of emotional baggage that affect their decisions both good and bad. They are very good together both in between and outside of the sheets. Of course, their relationship becomes complicated when it becomes clear that the Colombians will do whatever is necessary to prevent Mayhem from getting out of the drug trade. There is a lot of action that is the mainstay of all TItan books. And the other mainstay is teamwork and family. For as much as Titan is a bunch of military veterans, they are loyal to each other and have each other’s backs.
I don’t want to give too much away so I will simply say that the Colombians make a move that forces Titan into action. And when this happens, Titan will bring all hands on deck in dramatic fashion and it’s awesome. For all of the books that I have read, I believe that this one is the best one yet.
**Received a copy of the book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**
Wow, how is it possible for someone's heart to break when they never let themselves get involved or attached? Jax is the epitome of lone wolf/team player. He shows up and does his job as part of a team, but he does not interact socially in any way with any of his team members. Seven's description of him as jerkface is spot on.
So how does a control freak princess end up getting drunk in Vegas and marrying said jerkface? Goodness what a pair they made. I love that Jax had no problems with the kids or her mom. That's a lot of responsibility to take on and he just did it. I love that he stood up to Johnny and his BS.
So I had a few open questions remain - a) Did Mayhem get out of the drug business? b) Did Johnny get his act together? c) What was the point of bringing Cullen back other than to torment Seven? and d) What happened to the Suarez's?
Overall I enjoyed the book. My heart broke for Jax when Seven served him with divorce papers and he confronted her. I never thought my heart would break for him but it did. But it was put back together with the wedding. Gotta love a Titan wedding.
I enjoyed the mix of MC and Security in this story, working not always in harmony to sort the issues and find solutions. Seven is awesome, not only looking out for her friends, ex and the MC she has taken on her mums business and a friends two children. She has little or no time to just be herself without any demands on her, no wonder she has OCD issues. Jax has his reasons for being a straight talker with no bulls**t, I felt they were more than justified. The two children are adorable and have been through a lot already in their young lives, Jax is fantastic with them, so relaxed. Well written story with lots of suspense and tension mounting into a nail biting conclusion, sparks a plenty between quite a few characters and not just on the more romantic side. A bit of cuteness with the children so I would say something for everyone in this book. There is some violence and sexual content but nothing to extreme or excessive and all completely in context to the story. Only downer I had was not much of Titan group as such, mostly Jared and Jax with brief play by the others.
I really enjoyed this book, Cristin Harber got my attention at the start and kept it till the end. In my opinion Cristin Harber knows how to write suspense, action and interesting characters. I've been wondering about Seven and Jax's stories and I was not disappointed. I've liked Seven since being introduced to her in Delta Redemption. Seven is one strong women, yet she has her baggage and flaws. She has a past that keeps her loyalty. What I like about Seven is she is loyal, loves her family and does everything she can to protect them. Seven also takes no crap from anyone but she gives as good as she gets. When things got bad and she knew she needed help she asked. Yes she was a little wary but she did. Jax is a complete jerk but we finally get the story and it makes sense. Jax is a jerk on the outside but deep down he is not. In my opinion Cristin Harber did a great job of bringing these these two stories into one. Sometimes I did get a little confused with what was going on with the cartel and the motorcycle club. Even with that I still loved this book.
It took me a while to get into the story. This had everything to do with the fact that I couldn't remember a few facts from the earlier books but once I went back to check on them, the story made more sense.
Seven and Jax fit together like Jared and Sugar. If you would see them on the street you would say it wouldn't work but they just do. They both have an attitude but are also speaking the truth as they see it. Seven had to deal with a lot (kids, the MC, her mother, her dad and her business) Jax had an traumatic event and that caused him to shut down his emotions.
It is a Titan book so you know you get to read about Jared, Sugar and every other teammate. There is drama, action, humor (Jax mentioning the clap thing was hilarious) and a sassy woman with an Alpha male on the loose....
But the story didn't wrap up everything so I wonder about future of the Mayhem MC, Seven's dad and ofcourse chartel. Hope to read more about it.
I'm so glad I got to read Jax early because the suspense was nearly killing me! Cristin Harber delivered another great story in the Titan series.
I've been a Jax Michaelson fangirl right from the start and I knew there would be more about him than a bad attitude and a hot body, so in the beginning I wasn't even convinced that Seven is good enough for him ;) But Cristin is a master in developing characters and eventually, I fell in love with Jax, Seven and their kids.
And again, it was a perfect mix of suspense, romance and hot scenes. You would think that a series with so many novels can't get any better or hold the level, but then you are proved wrong! I nearly started chewing my nails off... Yes, the book was that good! Don't miss it!
I laughed, almost cried, and needed a cold shower after this book. A smart, Mayhem princess with pink hair and an ex Navy SEAL now Titan hunk. Edge of your seat action and some seriously hot sex scenes. Jax is former SEAL and works for Titan now. He has a terrible past and doesn’t want love or marriage. Seven is raising her two adopted children, running a coffee shop, trying to keep everyone happy at Mayhem, the motorcycle club. Mayhem is wanting to get out of the drug trade and hire Titan to be a neutral party when they go to renegotiate the deal with the leader of the drug cartel. But things go south and they leave. Another meeting is set in Vegas with all the motorcycle presidents to see who will take over the distribution. When her children are kidnapped can Titan and Mayhem work together to bring them back?
I loved Jax and Seven together! They have been flirting for as long as they have known each other and at the wedding of their best friends was no exception! When Jax propositions Seven she smacks his face, he thought that was hot. Seven is a member of a MC and he works for Titan. The MC wants her involved in a deal to get drugs out of club business and they have asked Titan to be a neutral party to the negotiations. Because of this the two of them find themselves spending time with and each other, finding that the passion that went into their flirting might translate into something more. In this book you will also find most of Titan involved in a special operation, including a rarely heard of Titan team. This is definitely a book not to miss in this series!
Cristin Harber's newest Titan story, Jax, is amazing. There are plot twists and turns like crazy. This story is about Titan operative Jax and Seven, who is a motorcycle club "princess". Jax has been a real jerk in his previous Titan appearances; Seven even calls him "jerkface"! In this story we find that he has good reason to be a pain in the backside. This is a standalone novel even though it is part of a series. There is no cliffhanger or overarching storyline, for the most part. There is hot sex and some violence, as is typical of a special ops type story. I highly recommend this book, and any of Cristin's previous books. Cristin Harber's books are auto buys for me, and that isn't going to change!
This couple, these characters 🔥🔥 I did not know what to think about Jax since his attitude was all over the place in the last two books, but boy this story shows everything in a new light and I now love Jax. Seven is a sweetheart that won’t be messed with and I love her personality. The story is fast paced and full of action, love, heartbreak and intrigue. I am interested in this new group mention, Aces, and I loved seeing Victoria from the last Titan book as I even mentioned I hope we see her again!
Fun series and read. Look forward to reading Delta books to see These couples and characters again. I do wonder how the whole different state thing works for two couples, thinking will be three by the end of it, but still fun to read about their love and antics!
Jax was another great installment of the Titan Team series. Cristin Harber continues to provide edge of your seat stories. This story focuses on Jax, who has never really been liked by his teammates. He is very private and doesn't really care what others think. Seven is the unusual and colorful friend of Victoria, fiancé to Jax's teammate Ryder. Jax and Seven have been flirting for a few years. At Victoria and Ryder's wedding Jax causes Seven to slap him. It is seen by more people than he thought. Jax's past also shows up that night and this wonderful adventure filled with twists and turns begins. Kudos to Cristin Harber.
Cristin totally knocked Seven and Jax's story out of the park! He's a badass, jackass. She's beyind quirky with issues of her own. They shouldn't fit but they do. I personally fell in love with Jax a few books ago when he was introduced to us. I knew his story was going to be oh so good and Cristin didn't let me down at all! And Seven, now there is a woman I can relate to on so many levels, how could I not love her?
Truly a fun, enjoyable read with some angst and 'dud I just read that' moments. Do not hesitate.....go read!!!
