My brother gave me a place to stay. These are his rules:
1. Cook and clean for his seven hot roommates.
2. Do not sleep with his friends
3. Do not under any circumstances talk to his ex-best friend, Grayson

I sort of had a love/hate relationship with this book. On one hand, it was super cute (and steamy) but on the other hand, it pissed me off to no end.
First the good: I loved the connection between Grayson and Saffie. I loved watching them flirt and seeing them fall for each other. Yes, Grayson bugged me a little when he was using Saffie to tick off fans and management to get traded but ended up really falling for her.
I also loved the Snow White feel to the book, with the 7 guys she lived with. I enjoyed the scenes with the guys and wished that there was more of that.
Now, the bad: I hated her brother and their father. I hated how she was blamed for something that wasn’t her fault. I hated how they treated her. I hated how much she wanted their approval. Honestly, I wanted to shove Henry off a cliff. He was such a selfish, self righteous prick. Simply put, he was an asshole. I couldn’t stand him. And that’s putting it nicely. Every issue I had with this book revolved around her brother and father. The twist with the father…I called it. I saw it coming a mile away. But that doesn’t excuse how she was treated. I have to give props to Ms. Waltz for writing two characters that I absolutely loathed! My issues with Henry didn’t just revolve around how he treated his sister. It also extended to how he’d treated Grayson. Henry had no remorse except for how things affected him. I seriously wanted to push him off a cliff.
My only real complaint about the book was how things seemed to happen really quick. And I mean, I know that she was only there for the summer, but things happened fast. They started hooking up (I was ok with that part) but then next thing I know, they’re dating and everyone knows and they’re going away together and it was all just fast. I kept wondering if I had missed something. I wish someone (one of the other guys) had found out before everything moved so fast.
But honestly, I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it!

“The Roommate Arrangement” was a quick story about Saffie finding her way in life and coming to terms with her family (who really are truly awful) and Grayson finding a way to love and trust again. I liked their story and found it to be a fast read, although there were times I wanted to slap Saffie, okay there were lots of times I wanted to slap her. If you are looking for a quick summer read then this is the book for you, it has angst, trust issues, lots of drama, and an insta-love feel to it.

I think some of the soccer facts were wrong. I don't watch it but it didn't sound right. If you're a fan, you won't be happy with this book. Facts that I know were wrong was Saffie's brother acting like some sort of manager. He handled NDAs, maid services, etc. He's just he team captain. None of these players had their own managers. It seemed like they all relied in the same team manager. That makes no sense. You need someone you pay to have only your best interests. Also it really bothers me that the author made it seem like the brother could get Saffie a job as the team lawyer. Really?!
Saffie seemed like she would have a bad lawyer because she had very few critical thinking skills. She was just so easily manipulated by everyone. Her brother showed her who he was many times, and she continued to believe him, even in the end when he really showed how little he cared. C'mon Saffie. Why would he do you any favors at that point? This is my second book by this author. It seems like she has good ideas but she really drops the ball.

I just wanted to start by saying thank you to Vanessa Waltz for once again considering me to be part of her arc team, and what can I say, this book was great. how do I know that?, well it's simple it played with my emotions, I guess I have to consider getting anger management classes, because I found myself getting too angry at times and wanting to smack a few people around, yes this book will probably get the best of a few of you, shit happens I guess.
Anyways.....
Once again I fell in love with Vanessa's writing, I love how in this book she manage to briefly incorporate 2 characters of one of her previous books (the Cinderella Arrangement) makes sense to somehow connect the books and I love that.
Honestly this book made me angry on so many levels were as the beginning I was in the dilemma of liking and disliking Saffie, only to have my heart breaking for her as the book developed, you see thing weren't working out for her, she was laid off her job, evicted from her home and her dad and brother didn't want much to do with her. As you read the story you will learn why, but you will also learn she didn't deserve her father and brother's nasty treatment. I guess out of the entire story plot this was the parts that pinched a nerve, every time Henry failed to treat his sister fairly.
Grayson was another character I enjoyed from this book, he was annoying, a jerk, but also a sweetheart and had some major beef with Henry, once bestfriend turned in to an enemy all because Henry couldn't keep it in his pants and decided to betray him. So yes If you love Vanessa Waltz's writing as much as I do I promise you, you'll not be disappointed.
PS. As I mention in some of my other reviews I don't like to do reviews were it gives much of the story and characters away. For me personally it takes some of the magic away. You see I love reading I'm a proud book nerd, and I like the sensation of going in to the unknown and expect the unexpected. I used to read a lot of reviews here and most just basically summarized what the books were about, so when I read those books I didn't feel the magic or the emotion because I already knew what the book is mostly about and already knew what to expect. So now I don't do it as often, to avoid disappointments and because I want to keep the magic of reading going lol (yes I'm such a nerd)
I do highly recommend this book and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did.

I was given the opportunity to read this book for an honest review. The blurb of the book was interesting enough to pull me in and make me want to read more. I definitely wasn't expecting my emotions to get the better of me. My eyes were watering quite a bit but I just couldn't keep those tears from slipping out. Saffie (such a unique name) is homeless and jobless so she goes to her estranged brother for a place to stay. He takes her in with stipulations, #1 being don't get involved with any of my teammates, especially Grayson. Grayson is a pissed off soccer player who will do anything to meet his end goal, even if it means hurting an innocent person. These two can't help but fall into each other. They can't help but be what the other person needs. Unfortunately the hurt becomes greater than the end goal. There were so many twists I never saw coming. There were people I hated, people I felt sorry for, and people I wanted to like but just couldn't. Honestly even after reading the blurb I wasn't sure what I would think of this book. I'm glad I took that chance though and read it. It definitely kept me coming back for more and kept me on edge the whole time. I would definitely recommend this reading this book, especially if you want your emotions messed with in a good way.

Saffie, has fallen on hard times. She is out of work and her apartment. Her only option is to ask her brother Henry if she can stay the summer with him. Henry and Saffie are not close in fact they rarely speak, but desperate times. He agrees to let her stay with him and his teammates. His only rule is hands off of the guys. Grayson, only wants one thing, to be traded He and Henry were once friends, however since Henry betrayed him in the worse way, he wants out. He will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He see's Saffie as his way to do just that and get back at Henry. What he doesn't expect is to have these feelings for Saffie and she for him.
This story had it all. Drama, family drama, whole villa of sexy men, a forbidden romance, and off the charts steamy sex. The story drew me in from the start with Saffie and her family's history. I mostly definitely didn't like Henry, I was hoping he would see the errors of his ways and reconnect with his sister, however he went the opposite and made himself more hated. Grayson, was something else. I did feel sorry for him for what was done to him and how he had to face that betrayal at every turn. Then Saffie came into his life and turned it all around for him. A truly spectacular story.

The roommate arrangement is a wonderfully written 4.5 star read by the very talented Vanessa Waltz.
This book is fast paced and flows very well.
Once you start reading it you can't help but get engrossed in the brilliant storyline.
I absolutely loved the way Saffie Pardini was wrote as she has a wonderful heart and just craves love.
I was rooting for her from the beginning.
She is too good for her heartless family and deserves so much better than them.
Grayson Shaw is a gorgeous,kind hearted but slightly misunderstood individual.
He's been delt a rough few months and he's probably not dealing with it in the right way but it makes for a fantastic story.
I want what Saffie and Grayson have especially the trip to a cat cafe (I need one of those in my life).
This a really good story that will throw a lot of emotions at you and you will love every minute of it.
I definitely recommend you one click this book when you can and I promise you will fall in love with Saffie and Grayson like I did.

We all know there is always one in the bunch and in this book Grayson Shaw happens to that ONE !! He doesn't see eye to eye with Henry so he is the biggest no no in the house. But when Grayson see Saffie he knows she is his ticket to get traded BUT when he see ps and feels the real her he knows he can't go through with his plan. He wants to give her everything she wants and needs but one text message will ruin it ALL !
This is book shows you how love works in the heart, what happens to cheaters and what friends with benefits can turn into .. or not .. FANTASTIC READ !!

Well, that ended up being so much more than I was expecting!
I'll be honest here- I assumed this would be a light drama, fun, and games, hot fast and furious with sweet HEA. Which is great too, I am an equal opportunity reader!
Instead, I ended up reading a drama laced story full of frustrating moments and characters that had me talk out loud and shaking my head- and curiously compelling plot twists that made it even more intriguing, all the while watching Saffie struggle to find herself while living amongst the other walls of muscle in the house.
This angsty, read is not without its sexiness, and humorous moments the budding relationship between Grayson and Saffie are the cause of most of those!
Suffice it to say I was all in! This book quickly took hold and did not come back out til I completed!
Definity one that I would recommend to others!

What a really great story with a lot of emotions going through it. Saffie is an amazingly strong girl. Being treated like crap forever by her father and brother, she still pushes forward and tries to keep fixing it. Meeting Grayson was a godsend for her. Her brother wanted her to stay away from him, but because her brother was a major jerk. By the end of the story I can truly say her father and brother were horrible people and I was so thankful she met Grayson and helped him find love. They have an amazing story and truly a page turner.

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC copy of The Roommate Arrangement in exchange for an honest review. I am so glad that I did! I must say that the plot took twists I wasn't expecting and it created a further depth to the storyline that I really enjoyed. The characters in the story made you want to hop in their corner or throttle them which in my opinion shows good character building. If you are trying to decide if you should read this book I suggest you give it a chance. I know I couldn't stop turning the page once I started reading!

I had to go for a walk when I finished this book because I really wanted to hit someone (like Henry or his dad, or Kris maybe). Anyway, this is a quick read but it is packed with emotions. Once you start to read you will need to know what happened between Grayson & Henry, and why Saffie's dad is such a horrible excuse for a father.
Well all I can say is READ IT, you'll like it.

I loved the yoga bet. The relationship between Saffie and Grayson was hilariously sexy. They both had some serious trust issues for good reason. It was great how Grayson pushed Saffie to follow her dream and how he was able to give her the family she craved.

What do you get when you mix an out of work, estranged sister, her less than decent brother, and a houseful of ripped soccer players? Trouble, that's what. I really enjoyed this read! it has humor, heartache, betrayal, revenge, and of course those steamy scenes! I loved Saffie and Grayson's story! Highly recommend!!

This was such a great read! I instantly loved Saffie!! Getting to know Grayson was sometimes a pleasure, other times I wanted to slap him upside the back of his head, lol! I loved this story line, it is one I don't read about often and it definitely kept my interest. It has a great flow, easy to read, and Vanessa did a phenomenal job with these characters. This just brings home the adage that honesty is the best policy even under the most simple situations.

Grayson likes to have the perfect tan and Saffie sometimes ruins it, "he peers at the towel covering his groin. "Next time, rub it with suntan lotion." Grayson tends to have a one track mind where Saffie is concerned, "the answer will always be *** when you ask that." I liked this book, I fell in love with Grayson.

This book was Amazing. I received it as an ARC. I was hooked from the 1st line. Saffie was a beautiful character. she was sweet and caring and had a heart of gold. Grayson was a player and a man with a mission. To bad her estranged brother was such a pain in her butt. This book was well-written and it was so interesting with just enough drama to keep you hooked!

Okay, I went back to it because I had it on Hoopla. Still didn't love it, and would give it 2.5 stars, I guess. The "roommate arrangement" was silly and unbelievable, and the whole thing just felt like the author had to jump through hoops to get the situations she wanted the characters in to actually happen. For instance, why would a bunch of pro soccer players all live together for the summer? Supposedly they're all rich. There was no great reason for this, and it was silly. Secondly, they keep talking about the World Cup, but this was a regular MLS team, not a national team. There was barely any soccer in it at all, like ridiculously little, but that might be for the best if the author doesn't know how soccer works. ;-) Anyway, it was all so contrived that I lost interest very early on and never really jumped into the story.
If this is a series... I won't be reading more of it.
Audiobook only: Quite competently done. Both narrators were fine. I know I've listened to Nelson Hobbs before and he's a pretty good narrator.

I listened as an audiobook!
I rated this book 2.5 ⭐. I just picked this book up on a whim and I was impressed and at times I was disappointed. I did quite enjoy the smut in this book. Waltz did not hold back when it came to the smutty scenes but I honestly wanted more from it! As far as the overall book, it was really weak. I dont understand the plot of the book. I don't like that Waltz used the main character's brother as a way to invlove the love interest in her life. It would've been better if they were to meet somewhere (bar, during the game, etc). I also don't understand why the main character's father was invloved as well as the fued with her brother. It was just really stupid to mention the father during the whole book then to just have one weak scene towards the end. In my opiniom, Waltz could've went a different route with this story and it would've got a higher rating from me

This was an excellent, well-written, exceptionally good book, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The plot was very entertaining and had lots of twists and turns to keep it interesting. It is certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending.
The Grizzlies’ team are at the Ranch for their summer vacation. Saffie didn’t want to turn to Henry for help, but with no job and nowhere to stay, she has no option. The two have not made contact in a while; nevertheless, Saffie is surprised at Henry’s attitude towards her, especially when she asks to stay longer. And the conditions imposed on her seem quite ridiculous. Saffie thought having Henry in her life was going to be a good thing, but she soon realises he has grown up into a selfish and weak man. Grayson wants out of the team; a 5-year anniversary is coming up, but he has a 10-year contract. Even his crazy parties and inappropriate behaviour has not led to him being traded. There is a mutual attraction between Saffie and Grayson, so they embark on a friends-with-benefits relationship behind Henry’s back; Saffie doesn’t want to give up Grayson and doesn’t see the harm in a brief hot fling. But Henry stole Grayson’s perfect life and Saffie is the way out. It would only be a matter of time before they traded Grayson and then he would be free of Henry for good. Henry had the chance to “man up” but because he didn’t, there were going to be repercussions. When Saffie agrees to an interview to favour Henry, she doesn’t realise the extent of his lies or the impact it has on Grayson. Henry is well aware of how badly Grayson wants to leave the team, but is manipulating Saffie to get what he wants. Henry wants the world to know they are on good terms. Saffie is not sure they are; she cannot out his dirty little secret, nor would she, but Henry is a cruel person and what he did to Grayson is unforgiveable. She doesn’t like her brother or respect the man he is. While Henry doesn’t like Grayson, he cannot deny he is a great striker and with the World Cup coming up, any trade would lower the team’s morale. Grayson asks Saffie to become his live-in girlfriend; he thought he could never make any woman happy and while she is still a fling, he cannot imagine life without her, so what will happen when, and if, he is traded? Then the unthinkable happens and everyone’s life is in turmoil; particularly Saffie’s when she eventually confronts her father! A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Vanessa Waltz does sexy and sweet so well, and that's exactly what The Roommate Arrangement is. Saffie is out of work and homeless so she's finally reached out to her estranged brother for help. He's agreed to let her stay in a vacation home he owns with a bunch of guys on his professional soccer team. He has rules though: no getting involved with the teammates that live there, especially his former best friend, Grayson. So of course Saffie does exactly what she's not supposed to do...and falls for Grayson. But how could she not? Grayson is hot and so sweet to her that she just couldn't help herself. She's only human after all.
As much as I loved The Roommate Arrangement, it had me steaming (and not the sexy kind) in places because Saffie's brother and father were honestly the biggest assholes to her, and completely undeservedly so. The fem protag had no spine/self confidence. She killed me. The male protag’s ‘apologies’ were shit and that proposal bothered me. He had her come all the way down to the field from the VIP boxes so he could propose to her. It might just be me, but I believe if a person is going to humble themselves in front of their partner and ask them to marry them, the proposer should be consistently humble through the proposal. The male protag telling (not asking) the fem protag to come down to the field so he could propose to her came off as very egotistical.
I did not feel the ‘romance’ between the MCs. Too much sex, too little meaningful conversation/interactions.
Book definitely hyped up the drama. Took forever to reveal the extent of the ‘betrayal’ the monstrous brother/ex-bestie committed. By the time the ‘secret’ was revealed, the author had dropped enough non-subtle hints that I already knew exactly what had happened. It was like a hyped up cake finally being revealed at a birthday party and it turns out all that’s left of the fabulous cake are crumbs because all the guests already had a slice. Very underwhelming. There were also several dramatic reveals back to back to back to back to back (there weren’t really that many but that’s definitely how it felt) that the plot could have done without and weren’t always fully explained or resolved. I had no warm feelings towards any of the characters so maybe that’s why I get the book sounded (audiobook) like a soap opera.
Side note: I really didn’t like how the fem protag was so lazy she didn’t take the time to learn the actual names of the guys she was rooming with for weeks (!!!) or at least come up with good real nicknames that really fit the guys instead of being based on her not always great, superficial first impressions. The author wanted me to believe the fem protag had formed bonds with these guys strong enough to get them to watch “Vampire DIARIES” (I definitely see what she did there), or play video games on multiple occasions, the least she could have done is SHOWN me they were close-ish by redubbjng them.

WOW!! What an amazing story. This one was a tear jerker for me. My heart truly broke for Saffie. She wanted one thing in life and that was a family. In a way it ended when her mother died but in another way it ended way before that. You can not read this story with out feeling her hurt.
I can not imagine what it was like for Saffie to be without a job and have to go to her brother who wanted nothing to do with her. Her mother was dead, her father hated her, and her brother hated her as much. To have to go and say I need your help had to be hard but it was either that or be homeless. After getting to know her brother I think I would of chose being homeless. He truly was a piece of work.
I truly hated Saffie’s brother Henry. He was selfish, coldhearted, and egotistical. You want to reach in the book and slap him around. He had no compassion and even though he was married I do not believe he loved his wife. I am not sure Henry even knew how to love.
I just loved Grayson. It just added icing to the cake to know that Henry hated him and want Saffie to have nothing to do with Grayson. Sure Grayson was a playboy, but he had his reason why he did the things he did.
I loved the chemistry that was there between Grayson and Saffie. When they were around each other it was like a flame out of control. they had a hard time keeping their hands off of each other. Grayson is just what Saffie needs.
I loved how Grayson had compassion for what Saffie was going through. He hated to see her pain and would do what ever it took to help ease that pain. Grayson might of started out dong things for the wrong reason but it did not take him long to get on tract.
This was an amazing story and well worth a read.

This book has a great story line. A bit different than usual but also a bit predictable.
It made me laugh and go through a lot of emotions along the read. It has it all: humor, sadness, betrayal, heartache, alpha males, hot scenes, revenge, jerks and a lot more. Just loved it. The combination of it all made this book really worth the read and I just had to read through to the last page to see, what comes next.
Saffie has not had the easiest childhood and now she is an outcast because she is accused of her mothers dead. Luckily her brother can help her. Saffie is a very good girl but her family is so evil to her.
Grayson is the player in all terms of the team. He is always into parties, drinking and women.
The chemistry between the two main characters is amazing. It is described so well that you can feel it.
Henry - Saffies brother - and Grayson has had a fallout but nobody wants to tell her, what happened. It only gets worse and especially when she is falling for Grayson. Everybody has a lot to struggle with and the supporting characters makes this book extra good.
The story is very fast paced but it suits it. I can only recommend you getting it and enjoy the reading of this sweet romance.

Love and hate, such a powerful hold that it has on your heart, it tears at your soul and plays tricks on your mind. Saffie has fallen on hard times and she turns to the only family that she has, her brother Henry. She hasn’t spoken to him in years and she hopes that the sweet young boy she grew up with is still there. Her father is a terrible man and made sure that Henry and Saffie grew apart but she never knew why.
Henry is one of the stars player soccer and even though he agrees to let her stay at the ranch house for the month, he treats her like shit. It breaks her heart but she still loves him and hopes that maybe she can crack that cold heart and find the brother she was once close too. The only problem is Grayson, the sexy hot striker that wants to be traded from the team and he does everything to get his wish. At first sight he sees his ticket out of here. Amazing story! I love Saffie and Grayson! Their connection is explosive! You can't help but fall in love with them!
Saffie meets Grayson (a Grizzlie Soccer player) when she begs her estranged brother, Henry, to let her live with him for the summer since she's jobless and homeless. He grudgingly allows it but only if she plays maid for him and seven of this teammates, all of which he says are off limits. But there's more going on than Saffie knows. You have a team in turmoil, betrayal, cheating and backstabbing all revolving around Grayson and Henry. But what is it all about? On top of that Saffie is desperate to rebuild her relationship with Henry that her father destroyed though she doesn't know why.
As all their secrets are revealed, I learned to love Saffie (with her grit and determination), Grayson (who was seemingly a jerk) and to thoroughly hate Henry. This book is written in such a way that you can't help but be pulled into the drama and choose sides. The characters and story line are very believable and totally relatable. I strongly recommend this book!
