As mature men, the Savage brothers now realize that a man is not truly rich until he has something that money can’t buy, and that’s the women that have won their stubborn, once concrete, hearts. However, nothing in life comes easy and that includes love… especially with so many threatening, dangerous, and deadly obstacles in their paths to protect their family and their women. As soon as City and Akira had a taste of their happily ever after, it was snuffed away by her very own father. How will City avoid the charges that her father is threatening his entire family with in order to be with his woman? He doesn’t even have time to figure it out because he has to focus on clearing the Savage family million-dollar debt to the Columbians. Money finally matured enough to realize that staying with Zoe because of loyalty, was only hurting them both. Yet, now that their relationship is finally over, their drama isn’t. Zoe desperately tries any and everything to get her man back. She can’t stand the thought of him being with Bliss, but little does she know, Bliss wants nothing to do with him. Shamar was ready to stake his claim of the beautiful, Taraji. However, her obsessed, ex, Reggie, has kidnapped her. Shamar has gone from finding love to trying to find out if his woman is dead or alive. Suddenly, a pretty, established young lady falls into Shon’s lap right in the midst of him cleaning the streets of those that were disloyal to the Savage organization. He has never fallen for a woman, and when he finds out that she isn’t who she has portrayed herself to be, he probably never will. In part 2 of Every Love Story Is Beautiful, But Ours Is Hood, these brothers are forced to turn their savage ways up, as they fight to protect their brand and family. Will their relationships survive the constant threats of the streets? Hell, will their family survive?

She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. She hopes that The Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion.

Just as good as I anticipated. It has been a while since I read book 1, but they caught me up enough so that I remembered what happened to get back into the groove with these characters. I appreciated the character development and seeing how each relationship grew
Lawd just when you think some drama is being resolved it pop right back up like the plague. I love all the messiest that’s happening and I need some popcorn for this show. Let me read what happens on this last book.
The people who are read this book and gave it less than 5 stars is crazy. This book was fire, perfection, AMAZING, tremendous!!! Everything about this book had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait to flip the page to see what else would happen. I took my time reading this.....almost a month because I really wanted to enough everything Jessica put into this book and I sure did. Another 5 star I've read from her. Cannot wait for part 3.
Kaos had finally managed to get himself into a situation that he couldn't get out of. Shon and City had been telling Kaos and Mayhem that they weren't about that life, but they wouldn't listen. I feel bad for the brothers when they hear of the news of Kaos. Now the entire Savage family will have to deal with Kaos's foolishness.
I think Shon had found out about Niesha. It was unfortunate that Niesha couldn't tell Shon the real deal, but how do you tell someone something like that?! I guess Niesha was screwed either way. Hopefully, things turn out without Niesha being in a body bag, and her children raised without a mother. I wonder how did Shon find out?
Zoe was really getting on my nerves. A blind person could see that Money nor Shon wanted her, but she wasn't getting it. She was already set, because Money had given her money and a place to stay, but she was so obsessed with Money, that it was unreal. Money wanted Bliss, and Zoe knew this, but she just couldn't walk away. She made herself look more and more pathetic.
Poor Taraji. It was like Taraji and Shamar couldn't catch a break. Taraji and Shamar was both falling for each other, and just when everything was falling into place, tragedy strikes. I can't imagine what Taraji was going through, being tortured by a psychopath. Taraji had to deal with what she been through, on top of being pregnant, was a hard pill to shallow. I believe nothing will be greater than the love Shamar has for Taraji.
I couldn't for the life of me understand why Akira's father was pushing so hard for City and Akira not to be together. I knew it was personal, and now it all make sense. It was selfish of Mr. White to put his own personal vendetta before his own daughter's happiness, which was sad. Mr. White needed to just let Akira live her life, and be happy for once. I can't believe Davion, I don't know who's worse Zoe, or Davion!
NEARLY SIX YEARS AGO, I WAS CRAZY ABOUT THIS SERIES! I RATED IT 3 STARS BECAUSE I'VE SINCE GROWN UP & NOT REALLY FEELING THE STORY LINE IN THE SAME WAY THAT I'M NOT REALLY FEELING THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF FILL-IN-THE-CITY SHOWS ANYMORE! BUT NOW THAT I'M MUCH OLDER & WISER, I COME TO REALIZE THAT I JUST LOVED THE URBAN FICTION DRAMA THAT THE SERIES SEEMED TO EXUDE ON PAGES. I ALWAYS FELT BADLY FOR ZOE & HATED BOTH MONEY & BLISS FOR PUTTING ZOE THROUGH WHAT THEY HAD BY BRINGING A BABY INTO THIS CRAP. NOW, ZOE IS PREGNANT NOT BY SHON OR MONEY, BUT BY THE TOP DOG IN THE SAVAGE FAMILY CHAIN: DEUCE! THAT FIGHT SCENE BETWEEN MONEY & SHON IN THE HOSPITAL WAS DIFFICULT & SHOWED BOTH OF THEIR IMMATURITY! THEY BOTH GOT ARRESTED & THEY DADDY HAD TO COME & BAIL THEM BOTH OUT OF THE COUNTY! HOW EMBARRASSING.... I LIKED SHON & FELT BADLY WHEN HE SEEMED TO HAD GOTTEN HIS HEART INVOLVED WITH A WOMAN WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A GRIMY P.O.S. SHON MUST NOT HAVE HAD HIS HEARTBROKEN BY A CHICK BEFORE BECAUSE HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH NEISHA AFTER FINDING OUT WHAT SHE HAD BEEN DOING BEHIND HIS BACK. I STILL DON'T LIKE A CITY/AKIRA PAIRING IN THE SAME WAY THAT I DON'T LIKE GROWN MALES WITH LITTLE NAIVE GIRLS. I KNEW TARAJI WOULD BE PREGNANT BY REGGIE BUT I WASN'T READY FOR WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT TOWARDS THE END OF THIS BOOK OR IN BOOK 3 AS IT PERTAINS TO TARAJI, HER BABY, & THAT NUTCASE BABY DADDY REGGIE. I WAS GLAD THAT MY FAVORITE SAVAGE BROTHER, SHAMAR SUPPORTED TARAJI THROUGH IT ALL. MY HEART BREAKS FOR MAYHEM, SHON, THEIR SISTERS & ESPECIALLY THEIR MAMA WITH THE DEATH OF KAOS SAVAGE....
Before Shon gave his heart and soul to Niesha Martin he needed to find out what her agenda was for their family. To find out who she really was and what did she want from him and their relationship. What did Shon find out about Niesha Martin and her family and can he forgive her a maintain their relationship are will he let her go even though he has feelings for her and her son's. It was Jack-up how Lola and her friends turned against her that was some cold mess. Will Akira and City ever be able to really be together in a committed relationship are will Davion claim what he feels is right fully his. What will happen next the suspension is killing me it has to be a part 3 in this series. I also admired Bliss Davis steps to be independent and moving on with her life without the love that took everything out of her for loving one of the Savage brother Money at what cost . Even though a part of her still love Money Savage. Nova Jefferson time is finally up she got red handed by the Savage brothers for her deceit and lies she dies a long with her boyfriend Ice. Who kill Kaos Savage how much more blood shed will spill at the Savage expense. Will Mayhem be next because the robbery him and his brother committed on the Westside crew.
Even though this was again too long, it was very good...better than book 1
Even though this was again a long unnecessary drama, it was actually very good. Man where do I start then how daddy OG Savage took care of his boys!!! Man that's what's I am talking about. And my goodness Kaos, see why you needed to listen. City, loved the fact you went for what you wanted and hopefully you are able to take care of this little situation. Money you have to really believe in karma and in "you reap what you sow" because all of this is because of all of the past mistakes going on. Shon, man you are lucky because if it was me, I wouldn't trust you for nothing, and now you can see how all of this is affecting everyone. I surely hope you get an awakening because "more money, more problems" which everyone told you.... You were just too greedy. I am so happy that Karma got thru Nova and Detective White, and I can't wait that she gets to Zoe, Devion, Neisha, Reggie.... Shamar, that's right man, go after your woman and I surely hope that Taraji does not keep it. Bliss baby girl, you need to stop this tantrum now, he is sorry, and wants you back, say yes and get your Fam, the best way to hurt her more. Now let's how this finale is going to be Spinned out, specially for Akira.
FINALLY this book came out and it was DEFINITELY worth the (LONG & EXHAUSTING) wait!!😆💯 Jessica came to SLAY, in the literary world & she did NOT disappoint.....at all!👏👏👏👏 The 2nd Installment of 'Every Love Story is Beautiful, But Ours Is Hood' was the Absolute TRUTH-Straight 'FIYAH'!🔥🔥🔥 Picking up where the last book ended with the Prologue & delving right into 'Current' occurrences and circumstances based on each (Main) character. I am an Avid reader in general, but a Huge supporter of this Author, for her Amazing writing abilities, as well as, the ALWAYS entertaining plotline!😚😚 I look forward to Part/Book/Installment #3.....I can hardly wait to see what has become of the infamous Salvage Family!💜💜💜💜 Excellent STORYTELLING Jessica-GREAT Work!👊👍
These books are about the Savage brothers City, Shon, Money, Shamar ,Kaos, Mayhem. It filled with deceit , Lies,Disloyalty,Mistrust. It starts with City doing a 10 years bid in prison to protect his brothers. City is in love with Akira his childhood sweetheart who took care when her mother died he was secretly in love with her. City broke her heart at the age of 14years old when he found out about Nova Jefferson. Who did a bid for him who was his girlfriend who ran his business empire who kept his books. Akira is engaged to football superstar players Davion She loves him but something missing in her 3 years relationship it no passion no good loving. She accidentally ran into City after over 10years.
I loved this book. The author had me going back and forth. City was definitely the oldest brother who had his family first. Just loved Money but couldn't get over Shon sleeping with his brother's girlfriend. Loved Money after he matured and grew up. Shamar accepted the fact that he was in love with his friend and stood by her side through her trials and tribulation. Please someone find Reggie and deal with him because he is getting away a with to much. Zoe is a lost cause and is becoming a fatal attraction. When the Savage brothers find out that twin has been murdered, it will be on. This was an exciting book to read. What will happen to Bliss? accepted the fact that he loved his friend and stood beside her
Idk what's going on with the Savage bros but there's always drama lurking. I'm loving that City and Akira found themselves back but will it last. Poor Zoe she's breaking down mentally and is putting herself and her now unborn baby into harms way cause drama bcz she refuses to let Money go, the worst part is he's the cause for her mental emotional break. I really hope him and Bliss don't get back together I feel both of them need to experience Karma for what they did to hope even though she's so far gone had she not going through the many different bouts of cheating maybe she wouldn't be so bad. Idk but I'm about to go find out. Happy reading
It took a minute for part 2 to pick up for me. Once it did the story was interesting. Shon and Money are both at fault for the way Zoe is. Money should have been real from the jump, he wait until Bliss takes action then wants to proclaim his love. I was wondering how long City would back down from that threat glad he started to live back up to his name. His love for Akira is to savage not too. As for Taraji, what she went through was awful, no one should ever have to go through that. I love that Shemar never gave up on his love.
They tried to tell Kaos and mayhem that this was not the life that they wanted to live at all I wish bliss and money would get it together but I know they won't and I don't know how Akira will forgive city even if he didn't hurt her father will shamar really stay by taraji after he finds out she's pregnant from that crazy Reggie now shon is really caught up this book is straight heat
The drama just keeps rolling. Zoe needs to learn when to let go. I mean the done girl you already got put on blast and strung out and she still can't let go. Glad that Bliss followed through and made Money really see that he needs to get his crap together. Davion is another one, I mean let go already it's over. These Savage brothers are about to go ham over Kaos. That ending was crazy.
This part was better than the 1st part. I have truly enjoyed it anticipating what was going to happen next. My heart stayed in my mouth and I stayed in the edge of my seat. It was truly unbelievable all of the mayhem, and drama that this book bought. But it was all good. Ms. Watkins keep up the Great work. Now I'm about to go start the last book to this series I guess part 3 here I come....hahaha
It’s always going to be Tay “City” Savage for me! Lol. That man said, your daddy can cut up if he wants to, I’m still going to get my woman. Akira takes a lot of L’s, but she’s finally choosing her and it’s nice to see. I can’t wait for #3 in the series to see what develops with that best friend of hers and of course everyone else in the book. It’s like the other brothers are there, but City is THAT dude to me. Lol
This story was nothing but nonstop drama and action. I like how the older brothers tried to look out for their younger siblings. Shin was foul but he still loved his brothers. City and Akira seemed destined to be together. I was thinking it was gonna be a happy ending but I was surprised. It's not over and I can't wait to see what happens next. It's a good series.
I waited a long time for this installment. The 1st installment was excellent but there is a disconnect on this installment for me. There is a lot going on but I'm not sure if that is it as most storylines have a lot going on. I hope the next installment doesn't take months on end how this installment did.
The savage brothers are back and you know the drama is still following them. From love to hate to finding out their little brother are running around reckless. Will City, Shon, and Money be able to hold it all together or will the savage empire finally fall? Guess we all have to wait and see in part 3.
Good book with lots of action. It ended to soon because I was invested in the characters.
City and Akira. City needs to get rid of Davion. Taraji and Shamar ❤️ Money and Bliss (I hate Zoe) Shon and Neisha ( hopefully than can make it now) Kaos and Mayhem (praying for Kaos)
This series is non stop twists and turns! Jessica N. Watkins brought it! The hardest thing to do is give a character a small role and make them stand out...Deuce Savage was outstandingly written! Great character development and lots of folks to hate. If your looking for a rollercoaster read ...this is it!
This series just keeps getting better and better OMG! I’m hoping Money and Bliss get their happy ending. Zoe is bonkers like girl get a grip! I’m so sick of davion like dang just let Akira be with City she don’t want you bruh! Kaos wanted that fast life smh how will the savage brothers take this news? Otw to part 3!!!
Lord those Savages are about kill everything moving. I don't know who killed Kao. But I feel sorry for them. I hope Akira don't blame City for her dad's death. Zoe needs to get it together. And Neisha better pray Shon don't kill her. Poor Shamar. I hope Money moves on from Bliss. Stop begging her.
Please Zoe sit down somewhere. Show them you don't need neither one of them. As much as Money hurt her she still begging. Neisha done messed up. Shon was really feeling her. Team City and Akira. Lola needs to open her eyes. She should know her best friend better than anybody. I love how Shamar is right by Taraji side. Damn Kaos.💝💝
Let me start with this dang Money, I don't understand how so many readers are team Money and Bliss. Zoe really needs to move on and let Money go cause he's not good for her at all. I don't like how he treats her but turns around and kisses Bliss azz. Shamar and City are the good men and treat their women right. I can't wait to see what happens next
The male narrator wasn’t bad except there were too many male characters which had the same voice. The female narrator seemed to have trouble with flow at times. The story was entertaining but there were too many characters and the women were lazy and needed to stand on their own two feet instead of relying on men to take care of them.
Honey hold on tight because this is getting ready to be a roller coaster ride with drops and dips like you wouldn’t believe. This book was sooooo good! So much excitement. So many twists and turns. Reading the first book is a must! I’m headed right on over to book 3.
