Marcus Brown was born and raised in the North West of England in 1974.
What started as a hobby, has since turned into a full-time career, and his writing genre hops from crime fictio, horror, true crime, and self help titles.
He lives with his partner and a whole host of animals on the Wirral peninsula.
Seems Mr Brown has done it again! I'm thrilled he's so prolific as I can't wait for the next installment. This one had me on the edge of the seat by the end. Very well done!
Ending on another cliffhanger, I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. In my opinion, the further into the story I get, the better the tale and it's satisfying to see how the characters of Chloe, Kyle and Bethany are evolving and how nothing around the is ever straightforward, truly keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. The story flows and I finished it within a day, the language is easy and rolls off the page smoothly. Marcus Brown is a very gifted author, I'm looking very forward to Part 4.
Loving this series of books by Marcus Brown, this is the 3rd one in series with 1 more to come I believe. Not usually my cup of tea but, as I said in reviews of 1 & 2 they are not the usual run o' the mill vampire stories, they have much more to them than that. Marcus always seems able to create likeable realistic characters, with a little humour thrown in too. Twists and surprises and some horrible yucky moments. Only thing I don't like is, having to wait for Book 4, I'm so impatient to find out what's coming next. looking forward to it. A very good read!
This is a really exciting book, and I was (spoiler alert) happy to see the 2 girls reunited again. I love the way this series is turning out, and that finally the good guys are starting to come into their own and start kicking the baddies around. Still plenty of suspense though, because baddies don't die that easily haha. I don't know if this was really the author's intention, since I suppose this series is supposed to be thrilling and disturbing, but I would qualify this book as more of a SATISFYING read. It makes you really happy to see the way things work out and to see what happens to the characters. As with all the other books in the series, I love the way the author has created and developed the characters, well all the characters, but especially the heroines. The truth is you forget that the author is a man, because he gets into women's minds and way of being in the world so well that they feel like real women, and not like two-dimensional cardboard characters that some male authors create. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
I was lucky to read an advanced copy of this latest part in Marcus' gripping supernatural series. Having been left hanging at the end of 'The Truth' I was eager to find out what happened and definitely wasn't disappointed. I never know what to expect from Marcus and although not quite as fast paced as the predecessor, the story gripped me and answered the questions presented up to now. I feel he has set the scene with this latest part for a huge upcoming battle between good and evil. I'm not sure if this series will end after part four, but if it does, I don't know how all the various plotlines will be addressed, but they are starting to converge. I just can't tell what will happen as I think one thing then he throws me a curveball. As usual, fab characters that are likeable and relatable despite the subject matter. He gets straight to the story and tells it well, without the waffle that can sometimes ruin other authors works. Cannot wait to read 'Part Four - Lara' in November, especially after that unexpected ending, but it seems I have a new series to look forward to whilst I am waiting for the conclusion to this one. He certainy seems to know how to make his readers want more. I know I do!
"Come out, come out wherever you are. Or shall we play a little gamer of hide and seek?"
Oh, things are really heating up now!! Kyle, Chloe and Lara are still in hiding. Selena and Amina are conjuring up a plan to destroy Kane and Empusa. Kane is losing control, and Empusa is planning a surprise arrival. Throw in an unexpected return and transformation of a friend, murder, lies, magic mirrors, and Lara's odd behavior and there is no way you can put this down!!
I am a big fan of paranormal stories. This series is so unique in both the story line and the characters, I'm not sure any others will compare! I love the cliffhanger endings to each novella - each time leaving you no choice but to reach for the next one!
Strange things are afoot and I can't wait to see how it all ends!!!
Once again Marcus Brown has out done himself with "Resurrection" part 3 of "The Nightwalker Mysteries"!! I love the book and couldn't believe the ending! That's usual for Marcus' books tho! He takes the reader thru twists and turn and then surprises u at the end. And of course, he always leaves a great cliffhanger that ALWAYS leaves me so anxious to get the next book!! I feel like the characters are part of the family I know then so well. Marcus Brown is a VERY talented author and my favorite author to date. I recommend this books to EVERYONE!! Can't wait for part 4!!! Thanks again Marcus for a fabulous book!
This series continues to unfold fabulously. Some parts I saw coming, but others completely surprised me. I'm thrilled to see Chloe and Bethany are still the best of friends even after the choices and changes that have happened. I can't wait to see what happens when Empusa finally arrives. Will Kane win or will Kyle, Bethany and Chloe, or will none of them? Which side will Lara choose? Will Selena continue to support Kyle and Chloe or will she bend to Kane? So many questions yet to be answered. Very well done Marcus Brown, you have continued to keep me on my toes trying to see what is coming. Loving this series!!
Chloe has now been resurrected thanks to her best friend Bethany but her father is now completely gone. Lara her mother is ill and Kyle goes searching for his mother. The pieces on the chest board and moving into position.
Part 3 done. Well, what can I say except, wow. I will keep this short as I need to start part 4. All I will say is if you've not started reading these.. Do so. Fantastic storyline
Bethany and Chloe are different now and still have a strong bond as well as Bethany and Selena. Resurrection takes you on a wild ride with so many unexpected twists and turns. Once again Marcus Brown has hit this one out of the ballpark. This series is definitely a must read!
Well, I wasn't expecting th book to start or end like that. Wow, you got me again, Marcus Brown. Now, where is Part 4? Roll on October. Pre-order already in.
WOW! This series just gets better with every part.
Resurrection begins where The Truth finishes. Each part so far has ended in a cliffhanger, which I don't normally like but with this series, I think the cliffhangers make me want to read it even more.
With Bethany back as a witch/vampire/human hybrid and being able to travel through mirrors. Selena and Amina working together to bring down Kane. Chloe having been killed by her own father then being whisked away by a unknown being. Kyle and Lara still hiding away and Lara acting really odd. And Empusa planning on making a surprise visit to Kane, earlier than expected.
I'm not going to say to much as I don't want to give too much away. This whole series is a must read. It has kept me guessing from the start, with the twists I don't know where the story is going to take me next.
