Thought I Was Sleepin' Next To My Superman

Rate this book
All Suri wanted was to find her way out of the unfair situation she grew up in. No mother or father to love her, all she had was her bitter grandmother who tried her best to make sure her life was a living hell. A week away from leaving that life behind, she finds out some vital information that ultimately explains the dark cloud looming over her head; she doesn’t realize that if she doesn’t change her way of thinking, that same cloud will remain there until she does. Atlanta bound, she’s determined to move on and forget her past; thinking that she’s left that life behind for good. Away from all the misery she had to endure; things start looking up for her, and she eventually meets the man of her dreams.
Lac is determined to use the streets as a means to an end; he has dreams, and he won’t stop until they’re a reality. When Suri comes along, Lac can’t resist her. Somehow, he finds a way to break down the barrier she’s built around her heart, and it doesn’t take long for the two of them to become inseparable. Along the way, he discovers that she has a secret that only brings them closer than they already were.
All Lac wants to do is love Suri more than she ever loved herself. Well, at least that’s what he tried to do until tragedy strikes. Sometimes the very thing that was set up to destroy you can be just what you need to make you stronger. Follow Suri and Lac as they fumble their way through life to deal with all the curveballs thrown their way. Will they allow the pitfalls of life to hold them back, and both give up; or is this just what they both needed to get them in the position they both were meant to be in.

Too many times, we give more power than where it belongs. There is nothing wrong with loving someone but we have to learn to expect fallacies because at the end of the day we are all just flesh and bones. There is no such thing as a perfect relationship. Relationships without the main ingredient of communication creates opportunities.

Suri had experienced nothing but heartache and pain throughout her life. The one person that was supposed to love her unconditionally treated her like she was unworthy and therefore given her a complex that she maintained throughout her life. Her best friend was a wolf in sheep clothing.

Suri had two angels (Mrs. Eva and Bruce) placed on this earth help her navigate her trouble childhood.

Kasin experienced loss at an early age but became determined to make his dreams come true. He met his true love at a club with his cousin and was smitten at first sight. Kasin and Suri felt so strongly for each other that they moved in together. Kasin was a determined individual that showed Suri that love is possible in spite of perceived flaws.

Kasin and Suri catered to each other until the unthinkable happened (loss of two loves). Kasin felt slighted when Suri rejected him and pushed him aside after their loss so he turned to the arms of another woman.

In order to know what happened, you have to read this emotionally charged book.

This book was everything!

First I love your writing style. This was my first reading reading one of your books. This was not the typical d-boy book and I love. This was a good love story. This story had so much pain and heartache that it brought back memories of my own heartache and pain. Not going into detail. Suri had so much heartache and pain. Her grandmother evil and she should have died (sorry) but true evil never die. I know Lac love Suri but a man's pride will always aid him into losing a good woman. I love the love they had for each other and I pray they find their way back to each other. Vantasia is a snake and I cannot wait for Lac to find her trifling nonloyal butt! I cannot wait to read part 2! All I can say is this author pours her heart into her books! Thank you for this great book!!!!

OMG!!!!

Suri could not wait until she graduated so that she could leave the abusive situation she was in, but right before she leaves she finds out why her grandmother cannot stand her and has treated her like crap all of her life. Will the bitterness her grandmother has carry over until her adult life? Or will she be able to find love that she has always longed for?

This book had me on edge and I am mad how it ended. This was a good storyline there were a few grammatical errors but it did not take away from the storyline. I cannot wait to finish this story.

I promised I would leave an honest review when I read this book so here it goes..... I loved this story Suri had to go through something hurtful to find herself it took her a while but she did it I also loved Kasin he was able to admit to his mistakes but never let his love for Suri go. This is a story of forgiveness and moving on. This was a fantastic read by far I enjoyed it to the fullest !! Great job Serica great job!!!

I'm in my feelings..

That damn Kasin got me in my feelings. You had a great woman but you thought with the wrong head. I can admit that Suri distanced herself but damn! Bruh, I'm like can a good girl catch a break? She pulled a magic trick on him though...poof, I'm gone! Like the old saying goes..You don't miss a good thing until you lose it. Hopefully love will prevail. Sometime you grow apart to come back together better than before. Good job Serica!

Page turner.

Yes I was turning the pages trying to see what would happen between suri and Karsin. The love they had was something everyone dreams of but of course men always mess it up for something not worth it. Trying to over on with her life sure found her voice. Can't wait until part 2 is released

Really good

This was a really good read. I got pulled into the story and I could almost feel Suri's pain. It was if I became one with her. She really went through some things and I was right there with her every step of the way. I can't wait to dive into part 2.

Yesss

Poor Suri was just dealt a bad hand because her grandmother was a hot mess but thank goodness Ms. Eva and her husband looked out for her all through the years of growing up. Now I’m glad she has her life back and doing something she always wanted to do and I’m happy it’s with Kasin. Hopefully he got his stuff together
