A million dollars. For three dates. When Lia Marshall sets up a date auction to raise money for her sorority, the last thing she expects is to have someone bid so much just for some time with her. And she’s even more stunned when she discovers the bidder is Caleb Jones, her high-school crush and the guy she lost her virginity to many years ago. A millionaire businessman with a playboy reputation, he’s changed a lot since she last saw him – and he seems determined to sweep her off her feet, with a series of mind-blowing dates that keep Lia coming back for more. But she’s got her own life to think of – she’s leaving college, getting her own place, and starting her dream job after years of hard work. And with Caleb all over the news with a different woman on his arm every week, she doesn’t want to get too invested. But soon she realizes she’s falling hard for the man she thought she’d never see again – but he’s hiding secrets of his own, and as the three dates draw to a close, they must confront the pain from their past if they have any chance of moving forward together…
I loved the idea of this story. It is very much the book described in the blurb. However, we needed to duct tape Lia's inner monologue and ignore Amanda most of the time. Called was exactly as I had envisioned, but we honestly didn't get enough of him. Very cute story. I enjoyed reading it a great deal. The 3 dates Caleb planned were over the top adorable.

3 Dates is the story of second chances and daring to go after the love you thought you never deserved.
Lia lost her virginity to Caleb, the former star quarterback, just weeks before graduating high school and leaving for college. Now, four years later, Lia has put herself up for a date auction in order to raise money for her sorority. And just like that, Caleb is back in her life after having gone off and built a tech company from the ground up. Now he wants Lia back, and is willing bid a million dollars in the date auction just for three dates with her. Caleb won’t let Lia slip away from him this time, and he’s going to pull out all the stops on his three dates to woo and wow Lia just to convince her to not run this time.
3 Dates was a longer reader. S.J. Mullins put a lot of detail in this story - at times too much, which inevitably just slowed the story down. I did think this was a cute story - Lia always felt that Caleb was the one who got away, but she soon finds out that Caleb feels the exact same way about her. It’s serendipitous, but could have very easily happened in less pages and with a lot less of Lia putting herself down. I get it - we all feel insecure - but Lia was doubting herself every other page. From thinking Caleb only slept with her because he was a typical teenage boy and would’ve slept with anyone, to wondering why he bid on her at the auction throughout all of their dates, Lia’s insecurities about herself ended up detracting from the story somewhat. The premise of the story makes for a sweet romance, but too many details and too many insecurities take away from the flow of the story and can easily take away from the overall reading experience. It was a good story, just maybe a few pages longer than it needed to be.
I wanted to love it so much more. The blurb sounded so sweet and fun. And really, the first third of the book was just that. But then it stopped being fun and became heavy and slow, filled with daily minutia that didn’t help the story along. I stopped enjoying it until the epilogue where it got sweet again. It’s told in the first person and Lia’s compulsive, neurotic “oh my God, I’ll never be good enough” negative self-talk got to be too much really fast. I would have liked to have had Caleb’s perspective too. I understand why Lia does the things she does – the negative self-talk makes it pretty obvious – but for most of the book I wanted to shake some sense into her. And duct tape her best friend’s mouth shut on a couple of notable occasions. By the half-way point I was ready to tell Caleb to cut and run. He comes across so romantic but it seems to be wasted on Lia. He’s alpha without being an jerk about it. And the times where he does behave like a jerk, he’s pretty much earned the right to act that way because Lia’s just been caught doing something monumentally stupid that hurt him. I was hoping for more from the book but I still enjoyed the story overall. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book
Lia is a woman who has always concentrated on school and not boys or relationships but once fell in love and lost her virginity to a boy named Caleb but after they do the deed she goes away to Collage and doesnt see him again and never expects to again, that is until she is signed up as part of her Sorority to go on a date. Caleb is a man who is a millionaire and he totally woos Lia on his dates with Lia that he purchased. Together Lia and Caleb are great together but then when things get close they pull away. Lia wants him but she isnt sure his feelings towards her as he is famous and has tons of photos online showing him with different random women and she wonders if this is all it is for him.
What I enjoyed most about 3 Dates is watching Lia fall back in love with Caleb but trying to protect herself and her heart from getting broken again when it comes to him, seeing her have this best friend who is always there for her and helps her through all the what ifs, seeing Caleb treat Lia great but he is hiding something from her. Both Lia and Caleb have the history and have the attraction towards each other.
This book is great, I was wondering the whole story what would become of Lia and Caleb or if she would move on from him once and for all, This book has Lia a woman who has no dating history and the only thing she has ever had was her loosing her virginity to a boy at a party and then never seeing him again but she had always felt something for him but thinking he didnt have any feelings for her, Caleb seeing Lia or what he thinks is Lia in an Date Auction book buys out 3 dates to try to win her back but he isnt so good at it at times, a love story. If you like stories like this, then 3 Dates is a must!
Lia is about to graduate from college and start her adult life. She spent most of her college years studying hard instead of partying which is amazing since she was part of a sorority. It is a tradition that outgoing seniors do one last fundraiser for their sorority before they leave and this year it is a date auction. Lia is participating but is afraid no one will by her for a date. When the results come back, everyone is shocked. Lia is sold for a million dollars and her buyer expects three dates. Lia is even more shocked when she sees the name. It is Caleb Jones the boy she gave her virginity to in high school before they went their separate ways. Lia has always had a crush on Caleb. Caleb makes their three dates dreams of a lifetime and Lia has fallen for him all over again but what will happen when the dates are over? This is a long book with more of Lia's thinking than actions. I was not thrilled with such a slow pace. I loved the concept of the book though. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
I found this book to be a bit drawn out and frustrating. The storyline wasn't bad but, it could have been better if it was in both Caleb and Lia's point of view. From just Lia's side of the story, Caleb is vague and gives mixed signals to confuse Lia about their status, even if the status is just three dates for $1 million. Caleb never leads Lia to believe anything more than what is on the surface. Lia, being a recent college graduate doesn't have the knowledge and understanding that comes with maturity and experience dating. However, I do give her kudos to not jumping right into bed with Caleb. She was uncertain of his motives and so was I. Caleb's character isn't developed enough to give him the benefit of the doubt as to his intentions.
It all comes down to the last chapter and that was a good one.

This was a good romance with an intriguing H and lots of steam. The history between H and h was told well and thoroughly, although it took until the end to get the complete picture. I thought the full story was quite sweet and Caleb turned out to be a very loving guy.
I enjoyed this book for the romance story, although I dislike books that have any kind of selling of dates, virgins, etc. as the idea is sexist. And this had one part that bothered me in particular where the h is questioning whether the H will expect her to put out and is rather casual about questioning whether it would be prostitution. I would have rather seen a woman not question it but be outraged at the very idea.

Lia and Cade hooked up there Sr., year in high school before she left for college. Cade went on to become a successful tech billionaire that bid one million dollars for 3 dates with Lia during her final fundraiser for her Sorority. Lia was thinking this was just an opportunity to reconnect with the guy she gave her virginity to and see if her feelings for him were real or based on fantasy. Cade loved Lia in high school and was hurt she didn't contact him after they hooked up. Will three dates be enough to put the ghosts of the past to rest?
I found the characters to be good and well developed. The story line was different but wordy and over explanatory at times. I enjoyed reading this book.

This is a well written billionaire romance. Lia is about to graduate college but is persuaded to auction herself off for a date to raise money for her sorority. Caleb bids for 3 dates, he has not seen Lia since high school prom and wants to reconnect, but the course of true love never runs smooth.
With lots of drama and misunderstandings this is a lovely romance story, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this book
This is a new author to me. It's about 2 high school friends who lose contact after graduation. They are now reunited because of a fund raiser. It's a great concept for a second chance love but falls short of that greatness. It is told in the first person point of view of Lia. Most of the story reflects on Lia's negativity towards herself. It's a cute story but again gets bogged down with her self-doubts.I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This is my honest opinion
I received this book free as an ARC for my honest review. Lia Marshall is in her last few weeks of college, she has her life in front of her, a job with a record company and moving into a flat with her college best friend. To raise money for her sorority she enters into a dating auction. Caleb Jones bids one million dollars for 3 dates. Caleb is CEO and owner of a tech company and someone Lia knew from high school. She lost her v-card to Caleb. They both feel the chemistry but due to a misunderstanding from the past Caleb doesn’t trust her. Do Lia and Caleb get their second chance?
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book excellent book by its approach of a couple who has the opportunity to meet each other after 4 years without news. Caleb chooses to pay a million for spending 3 dates with the girl he dated once before she leaves to college. He try to seduce her again, but she doesn’t know how to react. And I think that’s the problem of the story : why something have to be complicate when it’s so simple !

Almost seems to good to be true, high school crush reunited later in the end of her last year at college, a sweet romantic story, (slows down in parts) i do think if it had both Lia's and Calebs POV throughout the story it would have filled in the few parts where story began to slow. It was enjoyable however and the quirky characteristics of them both had a likeable edge.

I wish someone wanted to pay a million bucks to date me! This is a very heart warming story about a high school romance that stood the test of time. There is lots of drama and a huge misunderstanding in this story, but in the end there is a happily ever after.
3 Dates: A Billionaire Romance Story by S. J. Mullins This is Lia Marshall and Caleb Jones' story.
This story was just okay for me. It took me awhile to get into it. In some places the story line didn't seem to flow together. I felt that the story was just too long.
FYI, contains mature and graphic content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a cute story. It's about two people who were high school lovers who went their separate ways after high school. When they meet up again, the attraction, chemistry and love is still there. Can they both get on the same page in order to live happily ever after? I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
I raged this low because while the first story was really good it was too short. Then you have us a second story that has REALLY annoying main characters that were just plain mean to each other but somehow we have to believe they fall in love. Then you cut it short and have no way to access the rest of the story.
I loved the first part of the book. And, I really liked Caleb's character. But... I got really tired of Lia and all her overthinking. I found myself skipping over paragraphs. *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.*
I wanted to like this book but I just didn't. It wasn't bad but I felt absolutely no connection to the guy partly because we don't get anything from his perspective and the girl was just blah and I didn't really care one way the other about her. ***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
