A short story about a young bird nervous of taking to the air for the first time. I know it has been read as a motivational story for young people starting to spread their wings, but I can’t really see it that way. How does this bird finally take off, and fly? By being mocked, and tricked by his own family. To me that doesn’t really sound like a good way to motivate someone to take off in life. Still, not a bad bird story.
