Rendezvous

Rate this book
Adan is ready to leave Earth behind. He successfully transformed his massive asteroid into an amazing spaceship, but faces an even larger challenge as he tries to negotiate the repercussions of the many deals and compromises that were required along the way. The choices he makes will not only impact those people who remain behind, but will also determine how the society onboard his vessel survives far into the future. Five thousand years after it first left Earth, the Ship is racing back in search of the mysterious humans its Crew has battled repeatedly. The Flight Boss is navigating an uneasy partnership with the civilian president as the Ship's condition degrades rapidly, but puts his trust in Kalare to prepare their pilots for one final battle to reclaim humanity’s homeworld.

Just Keeps Getting Better and Better!

I've never been a huge sci-fi fan, mainly because I just couldn't imagine myself being on a ship or going to another world, much less interacting with whole other civilizations. But every once in a while, a book or a movie comes along that has the power to pick you up mentally and transport you 1000's of years into the future and make you feel like your part of the crew and this is one of those series! Whether your young or old, these books are a must read and I just can't wait to see how it ends! A special thank you to Jerry Aubin for being such a fast writer, as I can only sit on the edge of my seat for so long...

Gripping Intrigue

I started reading this series over the weekend and first thought it was going to be a space adventure with a group of teenagers, which essentially it is. I couldn't stop reading. The intense manner which the characters focus on their goals, soon erases the lack of maturity of age. The story is intriguing when curious young and brilliant minds begin to unravel 5000 years of lies, deception and ruthless genocide. I am anxiously awaiting to find out the ultimate outcome in book 5.

Rendezvous (The Ship Series Book Four) audiobook version. Aubin wraps up two major plot lines in this book. He covers the backstory of how the asteroid spaceship was built and the deals that were made and reneged on to get the ship on its 5000 year mission. Aubin details the efforts to prepare for what the crew of the asteroid thinks will be the final battle for Earth. Twelve years have pasted since the events of Homeward . Zack who was put in hibernation as a result of his actions in Homeward, is taken out to be part of a fighter group as part of the battle for Earth. The effects of the civilian take over of the asteroid are seen in its deterioration. The true identity of Alpha, the main artificial intelligence , of the asteroid is revealed. So much happens in this novel that is impossible for me to summarize the book.

This the fourth book in the series is truly thrilling. I has good balance between action , character development and advancing the plot. I want to read more from this author and will be sad after I listen the last book in this series.

Wow...what a let down

After reading the first three books I found the story interesting if not a bit simplistic. However, the characters were well done and the sci-fi action was fun. The point of the series was to understand what had happened on earth that made it necessary to create an astroid/ship and what was going to happen when it’s current inhabitants found out. Well, halfway through this book we find out... and it’s utterly and preposterously ridiculous. What a complete let down. The circumstances are so implausible and unrealistic that it completely ruins the story. This series had such opportunity. The author truly wasted it.

What a ride!!

I'm an avid "space opera" reader and read many different authors. The common theme is a very strong command figure who kicks butt and never loses at anything! This series of books blows that pretense out of the universe with a lead character that is challenged at every turn with adversity and loss. I've absorbed the first four books in less than a week and will be in withdrawal until the release of book five. Great writing style, awesome story line, and intriguing characters.

"Rendevous: Book Four, The Ship Series" by Jerry Aubin is an awesome piece of jaw-dropping SciFi writing. This book finally explains the genesis of Zak & Kalare's innocent days of youthful diligence and pride in “Landfall: The Ship Series//Book One” as The Ship sped through space. Through flashbacks in Book Four, author Aubin delivers the full, stunning tale of the genius Adan and “The Ship”. This shocking piece of sciece fiction should be made into a TV series. Five ASTONISHING Stars. 242 pages. Kindle.

Awsome when I first started this series, I thought I could not get into a book that had the main character as a child. I was wrong, the main character is a child and views hard life from the view of a child and also from the view of what the reader would expect from a military cadet.

Awesome
Good fast read
Great character development
I was impressed
I would recommend this series to my friends.
When will book 5 be available

This series is addictive

Each time a book from this series is released I find myself doing nothing else but reading until I have finished it. The series is original and I find that being independently published it makes for a more enjoyable read as I know it hasn't been tweaked and adjusted to the point it no longer reflects the authors true story.

I can't wait for the next chapter in the series

The history of The Ship is much darker that what you imagine

Great use of the timelines and the history on The Ship and how Adan from being someone with Altruistic ideas end being an evil character. Did the other humans are one of the colonies that had been able to advance to great level in the future, are the East that survived. Are the Ants that rescue some of the humans that where throw out of The Ship and now are after The Ship to bring justice.

Really Scarry Story

This story is easy to follow into the rabbit hole where these horrific events may come to be. The worst part is that it is completely logical from an insane human perception. The Cortez's system of convincing his troops to conquest may work, but it is still wrong.

Very good story combining flashbacks to the beginning and Zax's current predicament. The back story was amazing and filled in the gaps of how the Crew society was formed over time and the growing division with the civilian population. I'm excited to read book five to learn who the mystery humans are!

Another excellent installment from Mr. Aubin

Once again, I slammed through another one of Jerry Aubin's books, sacrificing sleep so that I could finish it in one day. I rarely recommend books as highly as his books, but get yourself to Amazon and get a copy today!

I am hooked

Just finished book 4 and I hate that I can't go directly to book 5. The story line hooks you so fast , you don't even realize you have been reading for an hour or more.
These are great stories.

Frozen stiff

They froze Zack, for 12 years, now he needs to get back his girl, his pilots skills and his life. What a race to get it all done. And it isn't done yet. I am sure you will enjoy this book.

Good story!

I've read all 4 books and I'm hooked! Interesting story with a main character I've come to care about. Third and fourth books ended on major cliffhangers, so be prepared! Fifth book supposed to be available before the end of the year.

The hectic pace continues

This book picked up the action considerably. The storyline of the original ship builder dominates much of this book. I am really looking forward to the next book.

Almost like a prequel that packs so many punches that it should have its own title belt

A different historical vector on a gripping series that left me shouting expletives in the last few lines and drooling for the final chapter

Fun read..

While this book was a fun read, it moved at a slower pace than the previous books.

With the added details from this book, I have revised slightly how I think the series will end. I look forward to knowing if I am correct.

Rendezvous continues the great and interesting story started in Landfall the first book in "The Ship" series. This time around we learn the history of the ship just before returning The Ships Home System. Now to wait for the next book in this series sometime in 2018.

Book 4 of the ship serirs is as gooa a science fiction story as I have read since Asimov in his Foundation series or Niven's Ringworld serirs.

I really prefer science fiction and not science fantasy and the series really rises to that level. I fun read. Cudos to the author!.

I kept stumbling on ads for this series and finally bit the bullet and bought books 1-3 on sale. I'm so glad I did! Once I finished books 1-3 I bought 4 and 5. Enjoyable read with twists and turns that keep you guessing. The author is fond of cliffhangers, so beware.
