Dark, dangerous dragon shifters who just need true love...

Fate brought them together--but their love may be a double-edged sword

Fire dragon shifter Ash Connolly is a horrifically scarred man. Burned in a terrible accident years ago, the reclusive billionaire sentenced himself to a life of solitude. Yet when he meets a beautiful, sword-wielding woman, he's tempted to bare his soul in hopes that she will see the aching man beneath the grotesque, broken beast.

Tasked with repairing a priceless manuscript, geeky rare book conservator Teagan Lambert is dumbstruck by its mysterious, sexy owner. A thousand illicit cravings smolder in her dreams, but an extraordinary man like Ash would never notice a clumsy, inexperienced bookworm like her. Even so, she longs to reveal to him the fierce passion in her soul.

But Teagan is about to discover a dangerous hidden world filled with ancient magic, oracles of destiny, and a stunning dragon shifter man who tempts her skittish heart. A world in which even as the blazing passion between them illuminates a destined shared story, a deadly enemy plots a final ending...

Teagan is a antiquities book restorer, and a woman with a HUGE self-esteem problem. But on her way home from sword-fighting class, she is approached by a man in a hoodie. Fearing she's about to be attacked, she attacks him with the sword. Fortunately, she's not good with the sword yet. But when his hood falls back, she discovers Ash is a man who is badly scarred from a fire.

From that moment, their fates are linked, because Ash is a dragon shifter and Teagan is his mate. He was accidentally burned in a dragon competition. He needs to recover the gold stolen from him and discover the secrets in the magical books Teagen has been restoring to further his recovery from the burns.

This was a hugely romantic book. Ash sees the warrior woman in Teagan that she doesn't recognize in herself. It was so nice to read about a couple working together toward a goal rather than working against each other.

I did get a little annoyed with Teagan's crushing self-esteem issues, which stemmed from her...(are you ready, brace yourself)....freckles. Yes, apparently having freckles made life unbearable for her. She had a happy family and childhood, worked in her dream job, but she had freckles! But aside from that silliness, it was a great story. As I said, hugely romantic. If you like fantasy romance and/or dragon shifter stories, definitely snap this one up!

The blurb on Goodreads is currently wrong. This is what it is for real:
"The perfect level of heat with a nail biting ending, I couldn't put it down."

"Ash and Teagan were amazingly written characters, with such depth and real issues to overcome."

My review:

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!

This is the third book in the Dragon Mates series and part of the Reckless Desires set which is a multi-author set. This book is around 260 pages long and is for adults only due to the steamy content. While this is can be a standalone book, I recommend reading them all!!

This is Ash and Teagan’s story! Teagan works at the center. Ash is a dragon shifter who is recovering from severe burns. I couldn’t put this story down. I love how both of them make each other greater and look past what they each think is flaws in themselves. The ending especially was action packed! This has a fabulous HEA ending though I didn’t want it to end. And as always, I refuse to ruin your adventure, so you will have to read it to find out more! I can’t wait to see what comes next!

I highly recommend to all dragon shifter fans especially if you already love this series or J.K.’s writing!!!

OMG, I could not put this book down, what a wonderful story! Love can conquer all obstacles put in it's way if the desire is strong enough..

Teagan Lambert lives only for her books, a geek working in The Bernal Conservatory repairing valuable historical books. Her love for Irish history always on her mind and living vicariously through her bestie Savannah. Always the butt of everyone's sneers because of her geekiness and freckles, she has no illusion of ever finding true love like in her books. After all who would take notice of a 6 foot awkward freckled geek. Little did she imagine that her boss, Sebastian Bernal is a very powerful dragon shifter and that the book she is currently repairing is part of the hoard of another dragon who will forever change her boring life.

Ash Connelly was severely burned years ago and has since lived like a hermit, not allowing anyone but his close friends Sebastian and Kai to look upon him. All he lives for is finding his stolen hoard and thus garnering more power to his weakened dragon. He never even dreamt of ever finding a lover much less a mate until he laid eyes on the geeky beautifully freckled warrior female who almost beheaded him. His dragon who had been dormant since he was burned began to bugle in joy for having found his mate, but the man did not deem himself worthy of such beauty. What could a scarred dragon unable to fly offer a mate?

Will the desire for love between them be sufficient to overcome their deep physical and emotional scars?

Burned in a terrible accident years ago, fire dragon Ash Connolly hides from the world, but he’s tempted to bare his soul when he meets the sword-wielding Teagan Lambert. When Teagan is with repairing a priceless manuscript, she is dumbfounded by its sexy owner and even though she longs to reveal the passion in her soul to Ash, she knows that an extraordinary man like him would never notice a clumsy, inexperienced bookworm like her. But when a deadly enemy plots a final ending to Ash, Teagan is drawn into a dangerous hidden world with the stunning dragon shifter who tempts her heart.

This dragon shifter romance is sweet, exciting and full of passion. The heroine is goes through a wonderful transformation from insecure to a bubbly and strong and the hero overcomes the emotional trauma of his past which really adds depth to this sweet but emotional romance. Ash and Teagan have some electrical chemistry and their relationship is full of passion, surprises and excitement.

The fast paced plot keeps readers glued to the pages with lots of suspense as Ash tries to reclaim his horde and his strength and of course as Teagan discovers this hidden and dangerous world of dragon shifters. The story is further enhanced with deadly excitement as a stunning twists puts Teagan in danger and an unknown their foe plots the final ending of Ash and Teagan’s romance. Readers certainly won’t find a dull moment in which to take a break during this exhilarating romance.

     Another remarkable book Ms. Harper
has written, her characters are so believable you can feel like you're there with them. Definitely five star...
Teagan Lambert aka: Teags is a human who works in a museum she's a curator she takes old old books and restores them. She's into the Irish history what she doesn't realize is she is going into a world that no one will believe exist, let alone the magic of these books. Does magic exist?
Ash Connolly is a dragon shifter the who has been through a lot and there was an accident and it just so happened when this accident happen he didn't have enough in his hoard to take care of the magic of healing. He became a hermit so no one could see the hideousness of his face. Trying to find the magic again he runs into something he figured he would ever find.
A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

Sometimes I wonder what the point of book reviews is. Certainly, it can be fun to toss off one's opinion -- which I do, largely so I won't forget and try to reread some dross I didn't cotton to -- but reading reviews written by others? Who are these reviewers? What do they value in storytelling? What are the admittedly personal metrics they use to define goodness? Because I gotta say, I read a fair number of reviews of this here book, and I cannot see what all the fuss was about. And look, I'm not trying to get all poison pen on this dumb book -- it is completely 100% fine, like totally ok -- and its sins are held in common with dozens of other books. But it's got to be said: this is a book about annoying people thinking annoying things, and I can't bring myself to finish it.

Teagan Lambert is a book conservator and freckled redhead. She's so completely Not Like Other Girls because she loves books! Loves reading them, smelling them, book conserving them. Everything about books, she's about. This is nothing like the readers of this book, many of whom define themselves by what booknerds they are lol, like and subscribe, &c. I run into so many heroines of this kind of PNR drivel who define themselves by book nerdery and then act like this is some kind of beleaguered and trod upon identity. It is not! (Or, I think Romancelandia takes a lot of shit by litfic fuckwits, people who use their preconceived notions to criticize a genre they don't know anything about, but that's an altogether different and more subtle thing than "I'm a bluestocking; no one understands me." There's a whole industry of wine cozies and inspirational quotes painted on driftwood for such a person. Everyone understands you, honey.)

She also has absolutely no idea what a smoking hot hottie she is, with her fiery red hair and freckles. Like she's not just unaware of how hot she is, she has a running commentary constantly about how her freckles disfigure her, gag, I'm so gross because of my freckles, etc etc. Even the love interest's buddy comments on this: she's hot but doesn't know it, which of course makes her that much more desirable. Women who know they're hot are probably either sluts or vain bitches or both. Admittedly, I'm extrapolating here -- this is not in the text -- but I cannot for the life of me figure why this would be mentioned over and over and over again.

I imagine most of us go through our days not worrying too much about our general attractiveness, because what is the fucking point? I mean, sure, I'm not chuffed when I get a zit or whatever, but it's not like my internal monologue is "woe, my disfigurement." Maybe I'm wrong. I would imagine such superficial nonsense would be be more prevalent amongst unsure teenagers and not grown ass women with Master's degrees, which Teagan purportedly is. Oh and sidebar on that: I have a friend who is an archivist, and she says they don't use gloves anymore, because the dangers of tearing shit because you can't feel the paper are much greater than the miniscule amount of oil on a clean hand when handling rare works. That's a mistake in the book, but then also that's a nitpick from me, so.

Oh, and not only does she not understand how hot she is, but she he has a horrific bitch of a co-worker who apparently knows how weird Teagan is about her freckles, and constantly brings attention to them and brings Teagan whitening cream and says a bunch of shady shit. Which hits Teagan like a ton of bricks: of course I'm an ugly monster! Like, what? I'm sorry, colorism isn't really a thing amongst white people, and if it is, it isn't going to affect fish belly white Irish-Americans. Also, put in a call to HR, girl. This is some standard misogyny in how women in positions of power -- other than the heroine -- are treated, with body shaming thrown in for good measure.

Oh, and the love interest is horrifically burned on one half of his body. I don't have the emotional real estate to go into how fucking ableist all of his head thoughts are -- like I feel like I'm mostly hanging on by a thread with my own disabilities and I can't parse how fucked his thinking is -- but know that it's a problem. One thing I'll say: given how dragon physiology and the magic of the world is constructed, I fully expect the love interest to make a full recovery by the end, due to the application of the heroine's feels/vagina, and I cannot stick around to witness such a shitshow. Apologies if that isn't what happens. I admit I'm a little sensitive.

Which brings me back to book reviews. I can handle dumbass heroines who don't get that they're beautiful. I can even handle misogynist characterization of every woman but the heroine. That's just table stakes in a certain kind of PNR. But I can't handle all that and then ableist nonsense about acquired disability. That's a me thing, and I'm telling you right now that's why I deep sixed this book. But absolutely zero of the reviews I read identified any of those aspects of the book. That's fine! Not everyone has the same criteria for goodness, the same lived experience, etc. But then why should I bother reading reviews -- or writing them for that matter, short of notes to self -- if I can't find readers who read like me, who have the same concerns and predilections?

I dunno. I'm feeling tired and defeated, and that really doesn't have anything to do with this dumb book and everything to do with my own shit. Maybe it's unfair that I dragged that all into this read. I guess I don't ultimately care, because I'm writing this for me and not anyone else. Later self: don't read this if you forgot you read this. The lure of nifty dragon shifters isn't enough.

Teagan Lambert, fighting with a sword with her instructor, lost focus and tripped over her own feet in front of the class. The instructor walked her through the steps again to analyze it for the class. Then Teagan left.

In the dark parking lot after class, Teagan hears a door slam and loud footsteps rushing toward her. Ash Connelly, a dragon shifter, had parked behind the building because of his scarred face; he pulled a hoodie up to hide it and stomped out of the car. His ancient sword had been repaired by Nick, the instructor, and no one was available to pick it up for him -- he was not happy that he had to come get it himself. He was irritated and not paying attention when Teagan, fearing he was after her, attacked him with her practice sword. He started to laugh as she sputtered angrily at him and tried to scream so others would come with their swords. Teagan threw back her hood and Ash was stunned by the lovely red-headed "warrior queen of old". Even his dragon was silent and in awe.

He apologized to her for scaring her and as she relaxed and started talking a breeze blew his hood back. She gasped and he stalked away in pain that his monstrous looks drove him away from a lovely young woman. She called out to wait but he wouldn't.

At the Bernal Center for museum archives and restoration, where Teagan worked, her supervisor gave her an old book to repair that a wealthy collector had sent in. She had done similar repair during her internship recently. The owner of the Center arrived with her boss and looked at the work she had done. He was impressed and they told her of a project they were assigning her at the estate of the very rich owner of the book she had been working on to restore an even more valuable one. But she would have to go to the man's estate.

Ash had been injured in a tournament by another dragon. His horde had been diminished before the tournament when several pieces had been stolen. Because the horde was incomplete, he would never heal completely unless he restored the pieces or the family sword that Nick, the fencing instructor, had repaired, released its magic for him. This sword had belonged to Ash's ancestors. Ash felt the power of the sword unleash as he practiced, but it wouldn't transfer to him -- it was missing something. Unless it transferred it couldn't help heal him. Maybe the books that were with the sword would have some answers for him?

Teagan in the meantime came to the eccentric billionaire's mansion to examine the old book she was to restore. She was amazed at the door to the room which had an ancient Irish Gaelic inscription which she was asked by Eamon to read aloud in the ancient language. It predicted that the key to the dragon treasure depended on a red dragon fighting to regain his stolen gold and to claim his mate. It was actually an oracle and it was starting to make sense! How did Teagan fit into this situation? Could Ash restore his treasure, heal, and perhaps find love?

This was an awesome book that I loved from the very start! I highly recommend it! It is well worth your time and is very enjoyable and well written.

I'll admit that I love stories that are new takes on classic tales, so I was intrigued by this dragon-shifter adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. We meet the heroine, Teagan, as she's bumbling her way through a swordplay class. She meets the hero, Ash, in the parking lot when she mistakenly thinks that he might be ready to attack her. Even though she only has a practice sword, she approaches him like a fiery warrior goddess protecting herself. Ash calms her down, and they start to have an interesting discussion, but when the wind blows his hood from his face, she sees his scars. She gasps, and he thinks that she's just another one who can't or won’t be able to see past his physical deformity.

What a delightful reimagining of Beauty and the Beast! Both Teagan and Ash have wounds, some interior and some exterior. I love how both of them were able to see past the physical right away. Poor Teagan has such self-esteem issues that she couldn't see her unusual features as anything but ugly, but Ash could only see beauty. Teagan is smart, nerdy, and a little bit clumsy... and really quite endearing in her awkwardness, both verbal and physical. How can you not love a character who is so enamored with Queen Boadicea and ancient Ireland? And Ash, he truly believes himself to be unlovable, and I adored how the author had him wrestle with his inner dragon when confronted with this woman who could mean so much to them both.

If you enjoy retellings of classic stories with lots of heartfelt emotion and realistic, wounded characters, you might find this book a compelling, sweet (but steamy) read.

***I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

This was the first book I've read by Ms. Harper but it definitely won't be the last. I truly enjoyed this book as I'm sure many others will. Dragon shifters are amongst my favorite shifters to read about and this book is a good example of why I enjoy them. This full-length book has a steady pace to it as well as interesting main and minor characters.

Teagan Lambert is a quiet, shy book conservator who feels she has many flaws with nothing to offer anyone. Ash Connolly is a wealthy, reclusive dragon scarred by accidental dragon fire. They both are half living their lives Ash in the shadows and Teagan with her quiet, shy demeanor. Still they find each other while Teagan is working on restoring two of Ash's old rare books. Ash hopes to find some of his families ancient magic locked into these books and a restored sword he has recently acquired. A blossoming love, magic, and intrigue accompany sword fights and dragon fights in this story.

Will Teagan be able to handle finding out that Ash is a dragon shifter? Will their burgeoning love stand a chance when Teagan learns Ash is a dragon shifter? Will Ash be able to unlock the ancient family magic he is searching for? Will he be able to decipher a passage on a set of the family castle doors? The story and the lovers journey will delight and entertain readers. I look forward to reading other books in this series.

Teagan is a self-proclaimed nerdy antique book conservator who has been tasked with the restoration of a pair of beautiful centuries old books belonging to a reclusive billionaire.

She meets the hero, Ash, on a dark street one night and is taken aback by his prominent facial scars. Later, she is embarrassed by her instant reaction and is disappointed to have caused a stranger pain because of his appearance. She has always been very self conscious of her 6 foot height and prominent freckles.

Ash is a dragon shifter whose horde of gold has been stolen. Because of this his healing power has been limited. He suffered severe burns to half his body during a tournament some time ago and is still recovering. He obtains ancient magical books and a sword which promise to restore some of his strength if he can unlock their secret.

When Teagan meets the mysterious owner of the books she is working on and realises he is the same man she probably offended she is worried about his reaction to her. But when they get together to work on the project they feel a powerful attraction growing.

A quick read with a fast paced storyline. Almost insta-love "mating" vibes, but quite acceptable for this paranormal plot.

This book contains descriptive love scenes.

Overall I enjoyed the book. Though I did skip in places, it was normally during the long inner dialog by both characters and the constant back and forth by the H before he figured out she was his Mate.
There were a few things in it that I was a little sad to see had not been written out of the romance genre as I had thought. The first being the h was shy, tongue tied to the extreme, hormone driven actions, helplessly gaping at the H. Painfully low self esteem despite being a beautiful woman, and only sees herself as beautiful once the H tells her she is...ugh let me count the ways I really wish that sort of story line had died with the bodice rippers.
I have far more respect for the character that discovers her own worth, sees her own best parts and learns to embrace what she thinks are her flaws by herself, without a man to point that out for her. And honestly most intelligent and successful women, as Teagan is supposed to be, learn that for themselves very early in life.
I will be reading more stories by this author as I'm hopeful that this h is the exception and not the rule.

Teagan Lambert is living the dream. Working at dragon shifter Sebastian Bernal museum. Not that Teagan knows what Sebastian is. She has been tasked to help repair and restore a priceless manuscript that belongs to Ash Connolly. She is in her element.
Fire dragon shifter Ash Connolly is a reclusive billionaire due to being Burned in an accident, and left badly scarred. He thought no woman could ever love him so he had got used to the idea of living a life of solitude. That was until he was attacked by a feisty woman attacking him with a sword.
He couldnt get her off his mind and was surprised to find that the woman who was repairing his book was the same woman who is working on his book. A book that hopefully held the secrets to get his treasures and power back.
This is a fantastic third book in the series Dragon Mates. And its another 5 star review. There is something powerful about Teagan and Ashs relationship and it makes my heart sing.
An outstanding book!!!

This is a great fun read and I enjoyed thoroughly though it can be read as a stand alone I would recommend that you read the previous two books as they are all set in the same world

Teagan Lambert is under no illusion about how her life will play out she knows that she will always be alone after all what man would be interested in a six foot freckled nerd. She makes her life by working on rare books for her boss Sebastian at The Bernal Conservatory what she doesn't know is that her life is about to change with her latest jib. She will be working on a book owned by Ash Connelly a recluse that keeps himself hidden after been badly burned The secret that he keeps is that he is a dragon shifter like his friends Sebasian and Kai Since he was burned his dragon has gone into retreat not helped by the fact that his hoard has been stolen When he meets the woman restoring his book his dragon awakes with one word on its mind "Mate". Will this beautiful woman look at a burned scarred man You will have to read to see

I did not like this story as much as the previous one, because Teagan came across to me as a whimp and a bit of a ding-a-ling. Ash is a fire-dragon shifter who has lost some of his powers because of an accident at a dragon shifter tournament when he was badly burned all down his right side. Ash has been searching for his dragon family's treasures that were stolen. He has managed to find a sword and two ancient books which need repairing. Teagan works at the Bernal Center repairing old books because she is very interested in old Irish history. Now she has been hired to repair the two books for Ash. Teagan is a whimpy nerd who won't stand up for herself, not even against the nasty Celia and this leads to Teagan and Ash almost getting killed. With help from Ash's dragon magic sword, Teagan finally learns to stand up for herself and for Ash the man (and dragon) that she loves.

Burned ( Dragon Mates Book 3) by J.K. Harper

Wonderfully Magical Story.

Teegan and Ash's Story. 5 Wonderful Stars

Ash's character is mysterious and brooding in the begining. His dragon was moody too, but oh how his character becomes so much more. He just exhumes strength, power and passion by the end. He may of been scarred but he was full of alluring sexiness too!

Teegan's character is so shy and nervous, her height and freckles makes her feel so unsettling and timid. Her job of repairing antique books is a job she loves. The authors way she was described made me feel awed at what Teegan was doing. Fascinating.

Dragons and Magic simmers between these pages.
A Dragons hoarde, 2 mysterious books, a magical sword and a key is the mystery you need to solve while reading this. The answer is the best part.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book by it's author.

Once again a great addition to this series, my favourite so far.
I really enjoyed getting Ash’s story and thoroughly loved his interaction with Teagan right from their first meeting.
We sort of met Ash in book 1 and I hated what happened to him. He has endured so much and is a strong and believable hero.
Teagan was such a funny and interesting heroine with some quirks that one can understand and relate too.
Great having more action at the Bernal centre, nice to have Sebastion interact in this book and loved the other characters Eamon and Nick.
My only gripe was the heroine once again not staying somewhere safe but once getting to the end I realised it had to happen the way it did.
Read in Kindle Unlimited but also kindly offered an ARC by the author.
This is my honest review of this book.

All about the bass, no treble

This KU library read is the third book in the Dragon Mates series, but can standalone. It features Ash Connolly, a red dragon who is badly scarred along the right side of his body. For the year since his accident, he has been recovering in near isolation. He recently acquired an auctioned bundle consisting of two books and a sword which belonged to his ancestral family and he has placed one of the books with the Bernal Center for restoration and conservation. Teagan Lambert is a recent Bernal Center hire who has been assigned to work on the book, a job she loves. Their paths cross, attraction blossoms, and the puzzle pieces for rebuilding Ash's hoard and power begin to fall into place. But a dark force is waiting in the shadows for the perfect time to take that power for himself, by taking everything that Ash holds dear, even his mate.

Omg I loved this read, my favourite of this series. Ash is a dragon shifter who after being badly burned and scarred has taken to living like a recluse, avoiding the prying eyes of anyone. Teagan is a book nerd who lives for her job, she has had her fair share of hiding herself from anybody who thinks being different is weird, but a dark encounter in a parking lot will change both Ash and Teagan’s lives forever.
Loved this story, plot, writing and characters. This had a very sweet storyline and and overall message about being different. Lots of sweet moments, some angst and a very hot although respectful love scene. The finale is an edge of your seat moment which brings it all together. Some small grammatical errors but nothing concerning. Overall I loved this read.

I love Teagan and Ash! They are each carrying scars, Teagan's on the inside and Ash's on the outside. The reaction to a chance meeting has them both thinking they'll never see each other again. Fate steps in and changes that for them though. As they get closer and realize how much they have in common a beautiful relationship grows. I loved seeing them open up to each other. Their story involves dragon shifters, suspense, danger, magic, and romance. I definitely recommend reading this one along with the first two in the series!

Teagan is a tall academic nerd that loves history and restoring old books. In her fun time she is taking a class in sword wielding at the institute of ancient battle.
Ash is a damaged dragon shifter who ran into the most beautiful women he has even seen. Sadly things just didn't work out that night but fate is on his side and they meet again.
Great story with lots of action, drama, deceit, and mystery. I really loved the characters thier so easy to connect to. both damaged in thier own ways and both needin each other. It's a really fun read shifter fans.
Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.

This is the first book of this series that I have read. But it is a true standalone, not having read the 2 previous books, didn't hamper my enjoyment of this story.at all. Ash is a scared both emotionally and physically. He is a dragon shifter who became a recluse after his disfigurement. Teagan is a woman more involved in the lives of the ancient Irish than her own. She lives for books. Their lives collide when his ancient Irish book makes it into her capable hands for repairs. This is a great little romance. I loved it. Well-written and fun to read. I requested an ARC so that I could post an honest review.

This is an amazing story that is action packed and full of suspense I loved Ash’s and Teagan’s story, Ash has scars on the outside while Teagan has scars on the inside and I loved these two souls who were perfect for each other. Ash is disfigured from burns and he lives a solitary life and Teagan has people making fun of her looks her bright red hair and her freckles she believes that she is ugly and Teagan hides away in a museum restoring rare books. Can these two lost souls find love and acceptance in each other?. This is an amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This is the book I've been waiting for since Dazzled, book 1. I don't know to explain how emotional this book made me. Ash and Teagan both had emotional scars that were similar so they fit together perfectly. Teagan was always brilliant, but so shy she was easy to bully and boss around. I loved that she could see the real Ash and he knew it. This was so good, best one yet. I hope that there will be stories for the other dragon friends, like Nick. The Dragon Mates series is well worth reading. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Of the three books in this series, this one was my favorite. A beautiful love story between Ash and Teagan. Ash is scarred and hides from the world. Teagan thinks her freckles are ugly and she hides away in a museum restoring old books. But when they meet. Wow!. It was funny. Teagan is a nerdy, awkward, bumbling girl, but she takes on a man she perceives is going to do her harm. As they get to know each other, they each have to learn to believe that the other can truly love them, even with scars and freckles. A tender, beautiful, emotional and uplifting love story.

Two misfits that fit perfectly

Teagan is geek that has been in love with ancient Irish history since she was a child. Blessed with a tall height and kissed with with the freckled faced Irish skin and red hair, she is working at a museum as a curator in training. Ash is a dragon burned in a tournament and living a life of seclusion. Black Dragons are after what is left of Ash's treasure. Well-written with well-developed characterization is a pleasure to read and enjoy. Adult paranormal with erotica. Well-developed storyline.

I am soooo happy that Ash finds his mate and treasure in Teagen. I loved the two of them, both have something that they see as a hideous flaw - Together they realize that imperfections are what makes someone an individual. When it comes down to it, they are perfect for each other! I love that Ash pulls Teagen out of her shell and that she shows Ash that he is still attractive and loveable. I was so glad the plot played out like it did! Ash never had to question Teagen’s loyalties. Great quick and thrilling read!

Damaged Dragon shifter, Ash, spends his time secluded and withdrawn from life. But in the midst of rebuilding his board of riches he meets his possible mate, Teagan. She is a geeky, red haired, freckle faced, talk woman trying to overcome a life of being bullied by becoming independent, outgoing and the best refurbished of ancient books she can be. When these two cross paths romance, action and deadly encounters result. Interesting paranormal world and charismatic characters make this book s great read.

Teagan loves her job restoring priceless rare books - and when she is handed a special assignment, she has no idea how her life is about to change. Since he was badly burnt and disfigured, Ash has hidden from the world - until he runs into Teagan in a dark alley and then discovers that she is the one working on restoring his precious book. When they meet, sparks fly! And when danger threatens, each must show their courage. I have loved the three of these books and hope so much that there will be more!
