Who is going to guard her heart?
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Defiled written by April Lust and voluntarily reviewed this book. This is a Wicked Bones MC story, where Devin Saunders is the President of this club in LA, and he has to find a way to earn money legitimately to keep the club that he started way long ago thriving. No more running guns or selling drugs, because the LAPD have been cracking down on all the clubs. Instead, Devin is going to take the club into the bodyguard/protection service direction. He gets a call to bodyguard Katia Reynolds due to a lot of strange communication via email and phone.
As a former beauty queen, Katia has had more than her fair share of attention, but when phone calls and emails start to get weird, personal, and disturbing, she was glad her assistant called for a bodyguard behind her back. Only she did not expect to be protected by the leader of a local motorcycle gang, nor did Katia expect herself to be so attracted to him. Katia was especially glad Devin was available when things around her begin to escalate, but now she is falling for him as well, and she doesn’t know what will happen when he is finished with this job and moves on to the next.
This was an enjoyable read, with Devin falling into a bodyguard-client relationship (but he just couldn’t keep his hands off), with a bit of suspense thrown in to make the storyline interesting.

I read this book as part of an arc program. I liked this story about Katia, a former beauty queen who has a stalker. Her assistant hires Devin the president of a MC to be Katia's bodyguard. Devin wants his club to do more legitimate jobs to bring more money in and keep the police away. When Devin first meets Katia, he thinks she is a spoiled rich brat, and she thinks he is a criminal who is beneath her. After the stalker becomes more aggressive and Katia shows she is more than a spoiled brat, Devin realizes he wants more than to just protect her. This was an enjoyable book and I liked the way the characters proved the others first impressions wrong. Devin was a tough alpha who wants to protect Katia and she shows more of herself than just her looks. I really didn't like her assistant and thought she was rude and didn't give Katia or her feelings any consideration, but by the end of the book, she redeemed herself to me. Good book.

This book was refreshingly sexy. I loved reading this book. It was very hard to even put down. The mixture of Katia and Devin was very hot. I enjoyed reading the book with the romance and suspense between a Former Beauty Queen and a Motorcycle Club President.
