Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. In addition to The Sixth Gun, his current projects include Crooked Hills, a middle reader horror prose series from Evileye Books; The Tooth, an original graphic novel from Oni Press; and various work for Marvel and DC. Somewhere along the way, Cullen founded Undaunted Press and edited the critically acclaimed small press horror magazine, Whispers from the Shattered Forum.
All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has worked various odd jobs, including Alien Autopsy Specialist, Rodeo Clown, Professional Wrestler Manager, and Sasquatch Wrangler.
And, yes, he has fought for his life against mountain lions and he did perform on stage as the World's Youngest Hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime, and he'll tell you all about it.
This issue gives a pretty decent and enjoyable end to Darth Maul's mini-series. It doesn't really give anything game-changing in the Star Wars canon other than establishing Darth Maul as a bloodthirsty Sith with a insatiable thirst for revenge. The Padawan vs. Maul light saber fight is fun to read, but we all know who wins here.
Nothing earth-shattering. No real surprises. Just the pleasure of reuniting with Cad Bane and Aurra Sing for a few pages. But as a whole, this ends up feeling more like a vaguely interesting anecdote.
I think this was the last one of this mini series. I like it, this comic and the series overall. Good balance between storyline, characters evolution and action. The illustrations were also great. A series that worth it for the Star Wars fans!

I'm reviewing the entire series on this issue. The art was great, as I've come to expect from several of the Star Wars series that have come out in recent years. Maul was a good central character, but it seems that again they didn't do him justice when writing the overall story line. While the concept of him chasing after a captured Jedi Padawan is compelling, the actual story played out in a lackluster fashion. Maul was reduced simply to rage, and his internal dialog was repetitive at several points. Perhaps I just have higher hopes than what can be produced for this character, but I haven't come across a story line that does him justice, yet.
A perfect ending to the series. A dramtic series of fights and a journey of self discovery that leads maul to become increasingly more engaged in evil. This whole series is a just a fantastic read well illustrated and a great look as villians in literature but through a different form (comics).
The series is also in canon with the starwars universe interms of TV and film so is very good for children who enjoy the films as it enhances there understanding and enjoyment of the Star Wars universe. And is a very easy read. Brilliant.
This was a really solid conclusion. I was sincerely surprised that Sidious knew about Maul's act of defiance all along and that he was okay with it. But since it was Sidious who set him on the path, Maul feels like his slaying of a Jedi is a hollow victory since he did not make the choice all by himself. He feels empty, which is a nice parallel to how Kylo Ren feels after what he does in The Force Awakens. I'd say that this is probably the strongest of Marvel's Star Wars miniseries so far.

Bunn did an absolutely amazing job with this short series, really capturing Maul as a character, deeply desired added depth to his origins, and his relationship with his master Darth Sidious.
Apparently Bunn has also done a Mace Windu spread. Definitely going to hit that one up soon. Mr. Bunn, you killed this one. You are currently rank 1 on my comic book author list at this time.
Who doesn't love Star Wars? I consumed this issue on Comixology. Digital comics are the bomb! Anyway, Darth Maul begins his dark journey in becoming one of the most feared Sith in the galaxy. Will he be satisfied with the outcome of this adventure? There's an answer. You have to read it to find out. So much violence!
It was just a mini series, but it ended perfectly, leaving room for more curiosity and explaining the blood thirst of the sith. I would give this 3.75 LMFAO, it is a perfect read and a good miniseries i would recommend to anyone.
