Mary Garver is living with a monster--her husband, Ted. He abuses her in every way possible, but this is the 1960s, and women like Mary have very few options. But when Ted starts in on their daughter, Rachel, Mary vows to put a stop to it. She then meets a strange pale man in an even stranger place, a world out of sorts, and he offers her a way out. But is it really a way in to something much worse?
