I found this to be a fun, relaxing read. The story is lighthearted but there is also a seriousness to it that takes it from being chick-lit to contemporary romance. Add a dash of steam to the story and it's the perfect recipe for a really good book.
I liked the storyline of this book. Three women setting out on a girls' holiday and letting loose and having a good time. This isn't something I would do but it's nice to live vicariously through characters in books, right? Hannah is a bit on the conservative side and when she meets Callum she puts limits on how far their flirtation will go. Limits are made to be pushed and when things turn serious she has decisions to make. I thought the author did a good job of portraying the relationship of these two characters and turning the story from a fun vacation flirtation to a serious romance and the problems that came along with it. I also liked that she told the story from both characters' perspective because it made it that much more believable and genuine.
This story takes place in Tampa, Bali, and London. I enjoyed that aspect, too. It was fun to read about different places and the descriptions made me feel as if I were there even though I've never been to any of these locations. They were just written in a way that felt real and it really added to the story for me.
This was my first book by this author and it won't be the last. Bali was an easy read and I will be looking forward to the next book in the series. If you like steamy contemporary romances pick up Bali today. You won't be disappointed!
Bali is a truly emotional well written pulling at the heartstrings romance. The characters Hannah and Callum were flaming hot with chemistry and it made you want to keep reading. I am very happy this is a series because it begs to keep going. The plot was developed beautifully.
Wow!! What a story, full of emotions this one was. I laughed, I swooned(yes I just said swoon) and I cried some as well. I just loved Hannah and Callum what a great read. I look forward to their next part of the story.
I enjoyed my first read by C.L. Knopf and I’ll definitely be reading the next book to see what happens with Callum and Hannah. I read this book in one night because I wanted to see what was going to happen, lol. The descriptions of Bali are an added bonus, while reading this book. Even though they’re both in their thirties, they both have some growing up to do. Don’t get me wrong, the book is well written, I just don’t agree with some of their actions.
This was an easy and pretty quick read for me. I enjoyed the overall storyline and can't wait to see what happens to Hannah & Callum in the sequel.
This is my first time reading one of C.L. Knopf's books. Actually, it may be my first time reading an indie-novel and I kept that in mind while rating. It took a few chapters for the book to really find its footing. The first chapter felt rushed to me by cramming so much information together at once. However, it is a romance novel and it does a great job of depicting the important details about this romance. Once the main characters get together, the story really had my attention and I couldn't put it down. The author made Bali sound like an amazing paradise and it's now on my bucket list of places to visit!
It was a refreshing read. You know that feeling when you're stuck and you don't know what to read to feel better? Ta-da! Bali is a quick fix. There was some angst an emotional moments, but that didn't take away the fun out of the story. A fast paced and fun read. Perfect to grab after a rough day. Beautiful scenarios, humor, hot guys, what more can a girl ask for? You will devour Bali in no time.
I adored this story! The characters gave me such good feels and made me want to travel to Bali. Excellent choice and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
I love this story! There was love, heartache, humor and suspense. I was rooting for Callum and Hannah the whole time. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and definitely recommend this book.
C.L. Knopf is a new to me author and I'm glad that I picked this book up and read it. Hannah and Callum were written exceptionally well and easy to relate to as were the secondary characters. The author's details of Bali and some of the other destinations that Hannah and Callum visited made it seem as I was right there alongside of them. I loved the dual point of views of the characters and the storyline. This had the perfect balance of "honeymoon" love and heartache. I'm off to read the second book of the series, London, right now. I highly recommend this series and this author.
This was a great book! The Author takes you to Bali and describes it so well, that you feel like you are there! She goes some where else also, and you again feel like you are there! When you meet Hannah and Callum you will understand them and why they do somethings. It wasn’t just a short sweet book but, a nice book to read on a weekend. I would definitely recommend This book be added to your TBR pile! I voluntarily read and reviewed honestly an Advanced Reader Copy.
