I think I would get more out of these if I actually played the game. Yet, I enjoy the kick ass women in this series who are pretty but not sexualized in the same way as other women in different comic books.

A fun little talon issue focused on doomfist, pretty cool and the red omnic looks pretty cool and would like to see him in the game as a counterpart to zenyatta

In this comic we see a guy who is never actually named in the comic from what I remember. Apparently he was a high ranking person in a criminal organization and now that he is out of jail, he is in the process of reclaiming that spot by taking out those who double crossed him and took his place.

The writing in this is typical, nothing too special. The artistry is well done. I think the people that they hired to write and make these comics did a good job. It’s just they don’t finish the story, they are all basically solo shot comics with just a hint of the story. I’ve never played the game, so maybe the rest of the story continues in the game for each character? I don’t know. But if you don’t play the game, these comics leave you guessing a lot.

It does have DRM, so -1.

Being outside of the game's sphere of knowledge, to this day I haven'e even played Overwatch, I really wasn't aware that Doomfist was a villain, names can be deceiving you know, and a very kniving one at that.

We don't see much of his grand scheemes nor anything of that, what we do get is a good grasp at his personality. How twisted he can be and how resourseful, physically speaking, he truly is.

And well his goal of starting a war.

Crossposted from Amazon:

AH, I messed up and put my initial review for this one on issue 16. Will fix that later. Anyway, this was interesting and we finally got to the story for the bad guys, tying it into the game beyond just lore and characterisation. It was very cool but on reflection, I wish there was more to it than that.

Good

Man, I'm running out of interesting things to say about these. They are good, read them. Even if you, like me, haven't played the game yet the art, story and characters are worth checking out.

Talon is perhaps the best part of Overwatch and this is one of the better comic books. It pulls from the previous and at least to set up some lore even though it never really have been built upon since.

I would ***love*** for the red Death Reaper outfit to be a real skin in the game. Or really any of these outfits.

It was ok

It could have been longer, I would’ve appreciated that. And more detail to the story. How did they get there, and why?

2 1/2 stars. I don't know anything about the storyline of the game which these are based upon so there are stories that I definitely feel like I'm missing a lot to give this context.

Good comic about talon

Interesting story about the antagonists and talons' inner workings. The comic felt like an episode of the Overwatch anime series. I had fun reading it.

The artwork in this volume was absolutely stunning, and I couldn't help but admire all the captivating clothing designs worn by the characters. My only slight disappointment was that I wished the volume was a bit longer. It would have been fantastic to delve deeper into the relationship between Doomfist and the other members of Talon.
