Weight problems is something a lot of people can relate to. This book was a hit for me! It shows that bullying during high school from peers and family can be destructive and can shape our lives in the future.

This is the story of Jasmine and her journey to love herself and become more secure and to finally find love. I love her and Jake's story, but I also liked the secondary characters!

This book will make you laugh, make you cry, it has suspense and a HEA! To me it was the perfect love story!

I received an ARC of Weighted Issues in exchange for my honest review.

WOW! When this book starts out our main heroine Jasmine, is an over weight teenager who has a horrible home life with parents who think she's a disappointment and no friends other then the maid. Her school life is horrendous with all the bullies making her life even more miserable. It's such a sad, but realistic depiction of what overweight people go through on a daily bases with bullies. Then the story changes. Jasmine grows up, she has surgery and loses weight. She has a beautiful home, a good job and a online friend. But she's locked herself away from the world, and doesn't see herself as sh is now, which is HOT! She reconnects with a friend from HS who she thought burnt her, but is actually really trying to help her. And she meets and incredible guy! 

That when this story takes on a strange twist that is incredible and fast paced that leaves you on the edge of your seat wanting to read as fast as you can to find out what the heck is going on, or going to happen next!

Such an amazing story that I loved every second of and devoured this book in one day!

I really liked this book. This is a story about a woman who was over weight and she loses that weight. But the journey isn't over there. I could really relate to this story. I battle with weight issues myself. And sometimes we tell ourselves that life will be perfect once we lose the weight. But really we just need to love ourselves to make life perfect. The weight is only part of the issue.
This book also deals with growing up and being bullied. That is a big issue in the world. Especially for a teenager. She is bullied for her weight issues and that leads to her life of insecurity.
I highly suggest this book to anyone who is dealing with any sort of personal issues, especially with weight. This story will help you see we are all beautiful. And we don't need to hide ourselves from the world.

This was a good take on someone who struggles with weight issues, I applaud the author for taking a huge step in creating a story of struggle, pain and betrayal.
Jasmine’s journey gives a real life look at teenage bullying and how it affects a person, and the effects that can take over how you live your life. This is a heartfelt love story.

I really liked this one. It's hard to find curvy women who are insecure in novels. I found the heroine to be realistic. I definitely fall into this category so it's nice to read about someone who has felt similar things to me. Definitely one of my favorite stories I've read in awhile :)

This is an amazing story of one woman’s life where she has been bullied about her weight issues, and the journey she undertakes to search for self-confidence and love. I can empathize with this being someone who has battled with the same issue.
This is a well written story, and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This book is by a brand new author.What a fantastic start to MMWheeler's career. The story line is great with fantastic imagination. Are there things that could have been better, yes. But with the right people behind her this author will go a long way. She is definitely one to look out for in the future.Well done MMWheeler, you did yourself proud

We are all aware of how children can be cruel when we are in high school. It leaves a lot of emotional scars and lack of self-esteem as well as being bullied, but when your parents also ignore you due to your weight issues, this can be devastating and heartbreaking to a child at any age. Jasmine lived this scenario and was raised by her nanny, Angelina, while her parents traveled the world. Jasmine had a crush on Mark for many years. When she met up with him at a senior school party, he offered to take her home. This would be a nightmare she wouldn't ever forget. Paid?
When her father agreed to allow her to move away from home at eighteen, so she would be 'out of their hair', she was thankful and was more than ready to move forward with her life.
Jasmine confided in a friend online about her devasting past. Her friend, Harlow, made a suggestion of how she could lose the weight and Jasmine followed through. Even after losing the weight, Jasmine still lacked self esteem.
Harlow encouraged Jasmine to dress up and meet her at a bar. There Jasmine met Jake and sparks began to fly. Would this night be better than the last time?
Weighted Issues captivated me from the beginning and sent me an an emotional rollercoaster ride with its twists and turns of suspense, lies and deceit. A young woman finding the strength and courage to overcome her insecurities with the help of a loving man even when she was on the threshold of death. I loved all the characters. The author has written an amazing story that will touch your heart. You will need your tissues. I would definitely recommend this book.

Jake was a hot, sexy cop who was enthralled with Jasmine even after learning her secrets. He became very protective of her. Will his past cost him his relationship with Jasmine as it did with Bianca?
When Jasmine's past came back to haunt her, her relationship with Jake started to spiral downward and out of control. Would her past endanger her life?
