Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.
Ten Things to know about me:
1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)
2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.
3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.
4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.
5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.
6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.
7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.
8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)
9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.
10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

Untamed Devotion (Barrington Billionaires) by Danielle Stewart When dealing in acquisitions and failures, it pays to know what you're up against. Not every beautiful ornament is a treasure, sometimes beauty can be lethal. Untamed Devotion reads like a metaphor for the haves and have nots. The world is made up of good and bad, no matter the social class or environment a person chooses to inhabit. Monroe is a man of means that deals in the bottom line. Aria is a woman with little to her name, but enough spirit to get her through life's disappointments. They come from different worlds and in the midst of beauty, discover just how ugly the world can be. Ms. Stewart lays out some often forgotten life lessons while crafting an intriguing tale of romance, danger and faith. Happily ever after is only a teardrop away with Untamed Devotion. (4.5 stars)
Monroe and Aria meet at the tropical resort "Carle de Blu". He's a guest she's an employee. Monroe is there to find out the ins and outs of the resort to find out if it's worth adding to his growing empire. Finding facts about the workings of the resort is his clue to its value. Aria helps him to find out the workings which are far more than he expects. A great story with twists and turns. A little bit of everything from trafficking people, the haves and have-nots and the deep dark secrets everyone has. Ms. Stewart weaves a story that will hold your interest, make you bite your nails, and sigh at the end for the HEA. Totally not what I expected when I started reading it. So good I read it in one day. The whole series with Ruth Cardello and Jeanette Winters is awesome. I highly recommend it.
This was not at all what I was expecting but I love a good romantic mystery. It was a nice surprise!
Monroe was on a fact finding mission to see if this resort would be a good addition to his partner and his self's portfolio. Nothing goes as expected from the minute he arrives to the island minus his luggage to the beautiful and elusive Aria mistaking him for an new employee.
Aria thought she was disclosing information that would help her fellow employees out of a bad situation but little does she know that she will also be helping herself and discovering love.
Will Monroe help Aria, will he risk his heart? Will Aria allow Monroe to get close?
The workers at the resort Monroe is considering buying are little more than slaves. Aria is working there, never getting ahead enough to leave, but then she thinks of this place as a refuge, somewhere to hide out from her past.
While I thought this book was OK, I thought the writing and plot were a little uneven (not to mention several errors).
I *did* like the way Monroe came to realize his feelings for Aria, but the ending was a little too much, though
I rarely feel like a book deserves more than 5 stars, that's not to say i haven't read some incredible books it's just that this definitely made me happy and love every page. This is my favorite Barrington story. Aria and her life will break your heart. Monroe had his moments where you loved him and moments you felt sorry for him because he was an idiot. I cheered when Aria slapped him. Nope I am not saying more except he deserved it. Don't miss this book. It is a stand alone, though if you want to know more about some of the other couples in this book you might want to read some of the others. Personally I am sure you will love all the Barringtons.
This is book five of the Barrington Billionaires series and as with the others, this one does not fail to give you a little suspense and lots of romance. Author Danielle Stewart truly has a way with storytelling and making her characters come alive. You will want to fight with Monroe and the others as try to correct a terrible wrong and help those who cannot help themselves. There maybe a little old fashioned swooning as Monroe discovers beautiful Aria and desires to make her his. Though she does not feel worthy of him because of her past, he tries everything in his power not to let her go. This is the story of good conquering evil and a Happily Ever After!
Great storyline. She was hopeful that the work environment would change for the hardworking people. There was heartache. Finding her father - heartbreaking. Could have been a happier ending. ??During the majority of the story it appears as if Aria didn't have a very demanding, long hours job as previously mentioned. Chapter 25, Aria returning to work, I didn't think she had stopped working. Chapter 22, states "...eternity since Aria had two days off in a row..." She wasn't supposed to be seen with guests, but was escorted in and out of the resort with Monroe. All in all it was a great read.
Book 5 in a Fantastic Series takes us to a vacation spot and a new love with mysteries popping up when you don't expect them. Monroe and Aria are two who most would never see as a couple.. especially Aria. Monroe is all about business till someone gets more than under his skin. Will they figure out this new "problem" for both of them? Can both learn to trust and love in a world that takes good and twists it to bad.. Sorry no story ending given here, no spoilers from me! You got to read it for yourself!!
Stuck in an island resort with no way to escape Aria meets Morgan, who is there to find out if the business would be a good investment. When Aria confides to him what is going on with the entire staff/indentured servants Morgan agrees to try to help and they set out to gather information and evidence of wrong doing.
I enjoyed this book and the plot twists. I liked the characters and the description of the resort. It's always a bonus when characters from previous books pop in with updates.
Monroe and Aria from 2 very dif worlds , she has nothing but her self and he has it all , this books as many twist and turns as they find beauty in a ugly world. I Love this series and how all the authors manage to touch on each others stories . Come along as they find out if they are worth of each other and learn to trust love can conquer all ! This is for sure a must read series . A fight for Justice may truth prevail
I have to say this book in the series was for sure my favorite
This book in the series was my favorite. Not only did it hit home in hoe the staff was treated because I did see that when I was on vacation not that bad but they work those employees long hours. But Aria was An amazing person and Monroe was there to be her night and shining armor! I so wished this series could continue...
Sometimes in life we run from our past the point were we crave to find it. The story of Aria and Monroe is just hat. Aria left to this exotic and remote island running from her tumultuous past and a father she is not sure wants to meet. Monroe is an expert at gettig to the bottom of the dirt when itmcomes to business. Both need eachother to find their truth and more ....
Aria was doing a job when she was interrupted to do extra work. The impact of her honesty more than
Working at a resort can be a dream when the management is honest and reputable. Unfortunately, Aria and her colleagues are not so lucky. When Monroe investigates the treatment of the staff in hopes of buying the resort, his interest becomes more personal. Great character development and storyline.
This is Untamed devotion, book 5 of The Barrington Billionaires, written by Danielle Stewart. This one is completely different than the rest. We are given insight into the world of child abduction and basically human slavery. It’s not what you think and you will be happy you took the time to read it! Great book!
What a story! All of the books in the Barrington Billionaires series are awesome stories! You really should check out the whole series, but I think this may be my favorite. It made me laugh and made me cry. This book even brings back some characters from previous books in the series.
Aria was a strong individual and I am so happy for her. Munroe is the perfect mate for her. Glad she was able to locate family members. I do love this Barrington world.
I think Monroe is yummy. The story was good and fun to spend time with James and Libby. Not seeing the "owners" and that mean manager get theirs as well as the mom upset my enjoyment of the story.
I enjoyed Monroe and his real ness but Aria and her spunk and willingness to help others is what did me in. I can be honest to say some things didn’t mesh but all in all the chemistry of the characters and the ending results were spot on.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Glad Aria and Monroe were able to get a new chance to be together. However, the story ended too soon for me. Hope there is a continuation of their story in the series.
Jerry choppy story. I had a hard time feeling sympathetic for either one of these characters. Actually the best part of this book was when Libby and James West and Matthew Kalling anf his girlfriend Jessica joined the story. Not the best of the series.
This is a fantastic read.So much roller coaster feeling are happening between Monroe and Ari.Would Monroe be Ari savior or her downfall. You got to read this book to find out.
Short, and to the point. Monroe and Aria's story was very well-written and quite possibly my favorite of this series! I'd highly recommend this book to my family and friends!
Wow! What a great story! There are a lot of elements to this story...fear, love, sadness and extreme happiness. I was in tears at the end. What a story!!!
