Rate this book
Shemar is the type of man that every woman dreams of. He’s tall, dark, handsome, and a hard worker. There’s just one problem. He can’t seem to stick to being with only his wife, Allanah. Shemar steps outside of his marriage and can’t seem to decide who he wants to be with the most. Eventually, his extramarital affairs begin to cause problems within his marriage.
Allanah is a housewife who dedicates all of her time to her husband. She makes a discovery in her home and it sets her on high alert. From that point forward, she doesn’t look at her husband the same. Determined to find out what’s going on with her husband, she enlists her cousin, Sage to help her. What Shemar eventually reveals to Allanah proves to be worse than she could ever imagine.
Sage is trying to find her way in the world. Things from her past seem to be hindering her present life. She has a few secrets of her own that she tries to keep from the man she’s been dating. Once those secrets are revealed, she decides it’s time to face her demons. Sage sets out to get closure in hopes that it would help her to move forward in life.
What will happen with Shemar and Allanah? Will they be able to move past Shemar’s infidelity or will it be too much for Allanah to deal with? What secrets is Sage hiding and how will it affect her relationship? Will she get the closure she needs or will facing her demons make things worse? Find out what happens when cheating and secrets are revealed.

It was ok

For me, this was not a page turner. I found myself skipping lines because I was getting bored with the book. Maybe because so many ppl are writing about the same thing. The story itself didn't bother me. It was the author's style of storytelling. I didn't feel like I was in the middle of the drama. I knew almost immediately what Sage's secret was. It wasn't long after that I had Allanah all figured out too. The ONLY thing refreshing about this book is that it wasn't about drug lords and king pins.

Even with the editing issues, this book started off with the potential to be a 5 star. I found myself laughing out loud at some of Sage's antics and I predicted her secret half way through the book, but that was okay too. The reason this book ended up being a 3 star was how Allanah's situation with her husband unfolded and the editing issues.
