HER TRUE LOVE WAITS IN THE PAST

Doctor Josie Reed has made peace with the fact that she'll likely die single, alone, and surrounded by a herd of feral cats. But then a bizarre encounter with a mysterious little woman in pearls lands the good doctor smack dab in the Wild West of 1881, where Josie is forced to tend to the wounds of a captured outlaw whose dangerous good-looks leave her dizzy with desire.

After Kurtis Mitchel is shot trying to outrun a posse, the quick thinking and surprising competency of a strange but enticing lady doctor saves his life. Now he's been sentence to hang for a crime he didn't commit, leaving him with only one choice: escape with the beautiful doctor as his hostage.

Tempers and passions flare as the unlikely pair is pursued through the wilds of New Mexico. Josie is desperate to get home to the 21st century before her treacherous heart does something stupid-like succumb to her captor's rugged charms. But destiny has plans of its own, and when Kurtis risks everything to clear his name, not even the notorious Billy the Kid can stop Josie from saving the man she is destined to love.

A good time travel romance. The female lead was feisty and a great character. The male lead was strong and sexy. Story was a good one too.

Good read!

I like this authors writing style. The characters are all believable and hold depth. This particular heroine and hero are probably my favorite out of all the books I’ve read of hers, yet. I found myself laughing at their witty repertoire and fights as it wasn’t forced and wasn’t annoying or unnecessary as some other books I’ve read. Some books try too hard to prove the heroine a ‘fiery spirited independent woman’ but with Josie she just was. And he was definitely a dominant guy but they both overcame and I loved every page of it. I look forward to more of her books.

This is the first time I've read books from this author. I was not disappointed. Even though I did not read the books in order they are a stand alone story. This one was great as I love westerns especially if they have an American Native mix. The story kept you entertained and at the end I did not want to put the book down.

Loved the Josie character

Really enjoyed the dialogue in this book. Josie had a great comeback for everything.
Kept looking for more "reactions" to her "future" dress and attitude. I just couldn't believe everyone would not find her strange and out of place.

Great storyline!

I really enjoyed this book, there are so many stories about Billy the kid and this one was a good one! I never did figure out what type of dog Bart was, reminded me of Cataloua (think I'm spelling that wrong) that my aunt had years old. Good storyline and can't wait to read the next book!

Loved the book, up until the very end, where the sheer annoyance of our intrepid heroine Josie, who wouldn't know true love if it bit her on the ass, cost this book a star. Otherwise, nice historical western time travel romance complete with Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, Apache Indians, and a modern day female doctor with a "Frankly, My Dear, I Don't Give a Damn" t-shirt.

loved this book

I love Suzanne Elizabeth’s time travel books and this is one of them. When a little woman appears to doctor Josie Read and offers her a trip to her destiny Josie agrees. Only problem is that she is thrust back in times to the Wild West. It only gets better from then on.
