By writer JODY HOUSER (Mother Panic, Faith) and new artist JACOB EDGAR, a never-before-told mission starring MONEYPENNY, friend of JAMES BOND, former MI6 field agent and bodyguard of M! On a ‘routine' protection mission, Moneypenny discovers a complicated assassination plot that bears a startling resemblance to a terrorist attack from her childhood. Can she call upon her secret agent skills to stop the plot…?
Not up to the usual high standards the Bond stories have been producing. Somewhat of an origin tale. Might have been better written as a limited series. Too disjointed for me. What did we gain out of this story?
So I liked this, but I wish there was more substance to Moneypenny's character and that it gave some more background? The connection between her childhood and then the present day attack wasn't clear at all. 3.5
Surprised to see the blatant bigotry so much on display. This coupled with the bumbling guileless narrative were more than enough to quickly cause this to be cast aside. Guess I'm not much for improbable progressive indoctrination usurping what I had assumed and hoped upon picking this up would be just straightforward entertainment.
