In order to post this review, I’m writing this sentence to meet the requirement for the number of words. There must be something wrong with calculating the number of Chinese characters. Wish Amazon could address this issue. The book is written in Chinese, so most readers should be Chinese and they may want to post reviews in Chinese after all.
Read as a primer for the Three Body Problem. A little underwhelmed. Great concept but the hard science wasn’t as fully developed as it could be. Character and settings left me confused, but that could be a language issue, as my Mandarin isn’t at a level to make this completely comprehensible. Respect Liu Cixin’s fun spirit in exploring science themes, he’s got the heart of a hard sci fi writer
Pales in comparison to Three Body Trilogy. I have a real issue with many of his characters. The stories are sound. I don’t enjoy short stories as much as novels.
